We walked in and were greeted right away, asked to sit at the bar and they let us go. The bar area was clean and had no bad smells which we loved cause some bars be stank! We sat at the bar and within seconds the bartender was on us! We have never been so we did not know what to order so she started telling us what they were known for and offered us some bread. Two seconds later we got bread from another young lady, then 10 seconds after that the bartender brought us more bread! The bread was warm and the two types of butter were yummy one was sweet with cinnamon and the other a saled butter. We ordered drinks and an app, and I think within 2 minutes we had our Rattlesnake bites and a few seconds later our drinks. The drinks were good and strong! we then ordered our entrees and snacked on bread and the appetizer. Other than them being a tad bit salty they were cooked very well. Before we finished our first round of drinks our entrees came! I got the ribs with green beans and mac and cheese. The ribs were amazing fall off the bone tender and juicy! the green beans were very flavorful while the mac was eh... My wife got the Dallas filet that she said was cooked perfectly and it did not need any steak sauce or seasonings. She also got corn that she really enjoyed and mashed taters but they were a bit watery... We ate as much as we could but could not finish our food. We will definitely be back to try out some other food and drinks! I can see why they are always so busy! read more

Had the Portobello mushroom chicken -highly recommend! 10 out of 10. The waitress was super friendly! Great service! And I always like the way these restaurants look, favorite part being the caricatures over the bar. read more

I come to lufkin regularly. I always use the website to order for pickup. Today my experience was terrible. It said the earliest I could get an order was one hour. I tried to make my order and it wouldn't let me go to check without joining a special group. I finally had to call Texas roadhouse to place an order. They had it ready in twenty minutes. You need to FIX YOUR WEBSITE. Edgar Essman read more

I used the app to make a reservation. Checked in when we got there. We were taken to our table immediately. Our waitress introduced herself and got our drink order and appetizer order. Rolls and butter were delivered and were yummy. I had some sort of watermelon drink. It was great. Appetizer came out and all was good. We ordered our food and then it was a minute before our waitress showed back up. She finally came back and checked our drink levels, & then the food came. I ordered the steak and chicken. I unrolled the black cloth napkin and looked over my utensils and they had food on the knife and there was water on the forks. I grabbed another and it was pretty much same thing. Waitress went missing again so I went to the front and requested some new , clean utensils. The steak was not good. It didn't have any flavor. Everything else was good. I was kind of disappointed. This is the first time I have gotten dirty utensils and had a steak taste bland. When they utensils are wrapped, they should be making sure that they are dry and have been washed properly. I don't want any food on my utensils that someone had on their plate the night before. Totally gross. And add some seasoning. read more

Horrible service the waitress didn't check on us after we got our food until we were done. The bartender doesn't know how to make a mixed Margarita half frozen half rocks. And the place wasn't busy at all. The waitress was more concerned about having conversations with her friends. Good thing we're passing through. We will stick to our normal Texas roadhouse. read more

I had not been back here for a while. I thought I would give it another chance. TERRIBLE. Started at the entrance. I guess I am a piece of cattle, asked for lunch for one, was not treated at all, the host talked to another server and I heard NOTHING. Not even hello. Lunch 32 dollars for what? Food is very average quality. Nothing special. My server, however was great. Nice young woman all ready to help. I came for a leisurely lunch and my food piled onto my small table before I could even touch my salad. The table is small and it couldn't even hold my plates. I won't be back GO TO LUFKIN OUTBACK if you want this experience. It is much better and you won't be treated as a piece of cattle. read more

Was seated in the bar. In the table closest to the back. The waitress seemed very distracted. I ordered prime rib and a baked potato and it was cold. The manager wanted to know if I wanted a new one or she could go heat it up. Ugh! The new one wasn't really any better. The ribs were tough and not "falling off the bone". Had to wait a long time for the check and was fixing to leave when the waitress came and said oh I'm sorry I brought you the wrong change. I need it all back. I understand about accidents but it wasn't noticed because it was only about $5 different. Then was told sorry I'm just ready to leave. Food just wasn't worth what we got. Won't be back for a long time. read more

The service was horrendous. Our server never introduced herself and when we asked what was came on the baked potato she asked "is everything okay on that?" so we asked what it came with and she told us the loaded option without mentioning any sort of upcharge and what came on the plain potato itself. Our food came out before our salads and the server asked if we still wanted them... We also didn't have any silverware and had waited a good 5 minutes for those to come out as well. Steaks were already cool by the time we were able to eat and not cooked correct. The server didn't come by ONCE during our meal to make sure everything tasted alright. No manager by the table, upcharged food at the end, and a short apology by the server. read more

I've been to this location from time to time, but this was definitely the worst experience. Me and my family went around 4:30 on a Saturday. When we went, there wasn't much of crowd so we assume like most folk we'd have speedy service. Unfortunately we received the opposite. My grandparents ordered two well done steaks and my mother ordered a medium steak all of which were 6 ounces. The photos shown are obviously not medium at all. Having to wait 40 minutes on a slower part of the day to only get the steak burnt was ridiculous. Do better Lufkin location. read more

This place is always busy so be sure to use the app and get on the waitlist especially if you have a large party. The noise level matches the size of the crowd so plan accordingly. We had a free appetizer to celebrate my birthday. We picked the potato skins with cheese and bacon. They were so good. I had the Dallas cut steak with fries and my wife had the BBQ Chicken. Both we super. Service was very good as usual. The server came back repeatedly to check on us. This is one of our favorite places so we will be back soon. read more

October 23 2023 6:50pm Foods very good/ When entering the Texas road house the man cleaning the windows sprayed the exit window and the outer spray hit my arm , The waitress asked if we wanted to go box for the ribeye bone in the photo I have. Before I could open the package of peanuts, she said do not get any on the floor reminding us I guess which I already knew Before I open them . She said she would be back with tea and took my straw and didn't bring in and did not bring me another one. Or give my wife a refill or my daughter When we paid our bill she said they did not have change for 100 and gave me 40 bucks back instead of 47 which I told her it was OK but I found it strange and added seven dollars to the tip . Do you need to rewind your cameras to check behind your waitresses? Sounds like a good idea to me. But first ask them if they refilled the read more

This is third visit to Texas Roadhouse and we ordered food online which we would pickup to go. Problem was we arrived on time to pick up our order which was supposed to be brought out to us but we waited, and waited and waited. We parked where we were directed to on the app and waited and continued to wait........ Finally my son went in to get our order and there were many ready to go and ours was ready. When asked why it had not been brought out to us he was told I am here alone and I can only do so much. Please give better to go service as your food is exceptional. read more

I went to Lufkin Roadhouse today. it was my first experience by myself. Corey was my waiter and he made me feel very welcome, if I asked for anything it was right there. He brought the food to me not but 20 mins after I had ordered it, Can't say enough good things about him, I can see him climbing the ladder real quick. Keep up the good work Corey. For starters, the restaurant is filthy and the bathroom is sticky and smelly. The food is subpar, overcooked and smothered is sauce and dressing to hide the fact. Always feel rushed by the servers and have been charged for things that didn't even order before, so keep an eye on your bill. Beyond me why this place is always packed, so many great local spots that are worthy of your hard dollar for the same cost. read more

Let me start by saying the food is always excellent, I've never had an issue with the quality or portion of food. The kitchen does an amazing job in time and quality. But the issue lies in the manager Krystal. Every time I go ,and she's on staff, I have the worst experience. She yells at staff constantly for no apparent reason right in front of guest. She never lets guest explain the issues they're experiencing much less the servers. One time I saw here grab cash of a servers table. Genuinely and uncomfortable experience and I would quit if I worked there, and will not go there again alone or especially with my kids. (I was so adamant writing this I had to make a yelp account) read more

The service was bad. The steaks were undercooked. They didn't put butter on the potatoes. I asked for a fully loaded potato. The waitress asked if I wanted egg on my salad. I said no. I got egg on my salad. She wasn't available for getting anything after she delivered our food. She was however around to do a little dance thing they do. We aren't going back. read more

Very disappointing, first time experience at the Texas Roadhouse. A few minutes ago, I picked up a prime rib order, medium. Terribly over cooked. The cut is leathery, at best. Truly inedible. My wife had the salmon with Caesar salad. She liked it. I also had a piece of cheesecake. It was okay. So generally, I burned up about 25 bucks. And I would not recommend eating anything from The Texas Roadhouse in Lufkin Texas. Okay read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I was really looking forward to my meal at Texas Roadhouse Lufkin, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The service was incredibly slow, and to make matters worse, when our steaks finally arrived, they were overcooked and cold. This experience was a letdown and not what I anticipated from a well-known establishment. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

The food is always good, the one time my steak was over cooked they took it back and the next steak was fantastic. Hint the large NY strip will come out medium, as it to thin do it medium rare, The Smaller NY strip is BETTER. the Salads are great. Service is good, they seem to have turn over in their wait staff, SO BE PATIENT and tell the waiter what you want. Larger parties than 6 or 7 will most like have you at two different tables. The place is like a Roadhouse, the music is there but you can still have a conversation with the table. I always enjoy going to TX Roadhouse(s). My wife and I go to the Lufkin one, about once every 6 weeks. read more

The second time we have been here that they overcooked the steak for all of us. We had been many times before without incident. The first time they cut our bill in half, but we could not enjoy them. This time they only offered a 20% discount, but we sent them back so we could enjoy our food anyway. It won't stop us from giving them another try. read more

Literally THE WORST roadhouse I've ever ate at. I've given this place 4 try's. Ordered something different every single time. Disappointed every single time. The only thing worth eating here is the rolls and their salads. They don't know how to grill a steak and then like to argue with you over it. Telling you that a medium rare steak is served purple but a medium steak is served almost done with very little pink. Absolutely ridiculous. Burgers are very very greasy and made me very sick. Grilled chicken is tasteless and tough as a boot. I've ordered a 6oz sirloin and was served half of that. Just not worth the money in my opinion, especially if it makes you sick every time you eat here. Really disappointing. You can do so much better Roadhouse. read more

Don't get their chicken fried sirloin, it is tough, our steak was not cook as order afraid to send it back. Texas Roadhouse has gone down hill and the one in Lufkin is one the worst I have gone to. Steaks were over cooked, the waitress did not take our order right. And the food took over 40 mins to come out. The appetizers did not even show up to our table, apparently the were never put in the system. Roadhouse has either changed steak vendors because the steaks taste horrible, no flavor at all. read more

I am not typically this person. I have been to Texas Roadhouse in Lufkin 3 times and all 3 times have taken way way too long with 2 little kids to eat. Well tonight took the cake!!! We waited over an hour and 1/2 for a table (PATIENTLY!!) to be cut by a group of older ladies that were nothing but RUDE!!! We were eating with my aunt from Louisiana that I haven't seen since my Grandma's funeral over a year and 1/2 ago and that group got our table so they split us up (they did fix this part because I said I wasn't happy) we got there before 6:00 and are just now leaving @9:30!! My poor babies were so hungry and tired (one gave up on waiting and as soon as the food arrived I had to go sit outside with her so we still haven't eaten other than a roll each). I am very disappointed In roadhouse. Food is always decent but 3.5+ hrs waiting on "decent" food is a little extreme! And then to top that off the couple next to us got sat after us and ate all there food and then complained it was cold so their entire meal was comped all while we sat patiently still waiting on our food! read more
