I had not been back here for a while. I thought I would give it another chance. TERRIBLE. Started at the entrance. I guess I am a piece of cattle, asked for lunch for one, was not treated at all, the host talked to another server and I heard NOTHING. Not even hello. Lunch 32 dollars for what? Food is very average quality. Nothing special. My server, however was great. Nice young woman all ready to help. I came for a leisurely lunch and my food piled onto my small table before I could even touch my salad. The table is small and it couldn't even hold my plates. I won't be back GO TO LUFKIN OUTBACK if you want this experience. It is much better and you won't be treated as a piece of cattle.

    Steak with all the fixings!

This place is always busy so be sure to use the app and get on the waitlist especially if you have a large party. The noise level matches the size of the crowd so plan accordingly. We had a free appetizer to celebrate my birthday. We picked the potato skins with cheese and bacon. They were so good. I had the Dallas cut steak with fries and my wife had the BBQ Chicken. Both we super. Service was very good as usual. The server came back repeatedly to check on us. This is one of our favorite places so we will be back soon.

I would ask if they have change for 100 if that's all you have because they can't afford to break it here

October 23 2023 6:50pm Foods very good/ When entering the Texas road house the man cleaning the windows sprayed the exit window and the outer spray hit my arm , The waitress asked if we wanted to go box for the ribeye bone in the photo I have. Before I could open the package of peanuts, she said do not get any on the floor reminding us I guess which I already knew Before I open them . She said she would be back with tea and took my straw and didn't bring in and did not bring me another one. Or give my wife a refill or my daughter When we paid our bill she said they did not have change for 100 and gave me 40 bucks back instead of 47 which I told her it was OK but I found it strange and added seven dollars to the tip . Do you need to rewind your cameras to check behind your waitresses? Sounds like a good idea to me. But first ask them if they refilled the

Food quality is poor. Management will not respond to customer. They do not care about customer service.

BEST Roadhouse I've ever been to! The food melts in your mouth and the service was incredible. Didn't have to ask for anything and was fast.

The Tex-Mex options here involve your normies such as enchiladas, quesadillas, burritos, fajitas, nachos, and tacos. All of these (or a combination of these) are part of the express lunch menu which is what we usually order. Most of the time, people in our group get some sort of enchiladas with the favorites being the avocado or the verde due to the sauces and cheesiness mixed in. The avocado is probably my favorite since I'm an avocado lover with the taste and texture. Other favorites are the street tacos where it comes with three tacos and the rice and beans. These tacos are quite large so it's not the traditional mexican street tacos with the onions/cilantro on the miniature tortillas. They are also packed and I mean PACKED with proteins; I've only gotten the al pastor cause I keep coming back to it. Something about it that makes it addicting with the tenderness of the meat and spices. We'll have to try dinner here sometime cause they have quite the selection of entrees such as the drunken shrimp, fajita platter, and pollo poblano. Bueno Trabajo Herraduras!

With that level of clarity in a response, I hopped in the vehicle quickly before doubt set into her cranium. My expectations were not high going to a national chain steakhouse. We are seated and I slowly changed my perception of the place. I know I give long reviews, so let me give you an abridged version: Heather, our server, was super attentive and not a bother at the same time. That's a true skill. She paid attention and got everything correct the first time. My frugal meter was pleased. They actually have specials. I enjoyed an 8 ounce steak, 2 sides, and a ccarbonated beverage for $15. The chef got my medium steak correct PLUS it was seasoned! I did not need the offered steak sauce that they carry. The cheesecake slice was huge. Finally someone did dessert properly. I'll be back. The manager told me they will have an apple blueberry cobbler starting next week. Yes, the manager stopped by and had a chat with us. They have a variety of country type music playing throughout the place...along with many televisions around the bar area. I'll be back. My frugal meter is okay with this place.

The popcorn shrimp was lower quality than what I can buy at Wal Mart. Our server was pleasant, but that was the only nice thing. Two days later we heard they were permanently closed. Not a shock.

Pro tip there is a huge amount of road construction around the restaurant so plan accordingly. We were greeted and sat promptly. Karen our server came and greeted us and got our drink order. I went to the restroom, it was clean but in need of a cosmetic upgrade. The restaurant itself was clean and had a Louisiana feel. My wife ordered the Salmon med rare, and she said it was excellent. I ordered the shrimp quesadillas and I was impressed by the buttered flavor of the flour tortilla that was crispy on the edges. I also was pleased with the amount of shrimp and cheese. The guacamole and the pico were fresh and tasty. For appetizers tried the Pistolette and were not overly impressed. The Boudin Balls and sauce were very good. I think they could have been a little spicier, but they were great. The bread pudding was just average in my opinion, but my wife loved it. Having humble & genteel personality while being a menu wizard, she made me feel right at home with her hospitality. My Oysters Royale cooked by Michael were fantastically perfect & delicious. I should've gotten the dozen instead of the 1/2. Being it's my first time, I had to make sure they were on point first & they were! I loved the charro bean side that came with rice & sausage bits topped with pico. The hush puppies are decent with some garlic butter you might want to dive into like it's the Summer Olympic swimming relays. The music and atmosphere was nice & festive. The booths are comfortable & being solo, the 2 person sized ones were perfect for me. Lufkin has a mainstay that most towns would be jealous to have. Come eat here & leave satisfied. Bring all your friends! You can't go wrong here with Tia Jaunita's. You just might want to camp out here.
