We walked up and tried to go inside, only to find the door locked--then realized there's no…read moredine-in! LOL, oops! We headed to the drive-thru and were greeted right away by the staff. From what we could see, the kitchen looked clean and the drive-thru area was well kept. After a few minutes looking over the menu, a sweet young lady took our order and asked us to pull forward to the waiting area. About 20 minutes later, she brought out our food, explained how everything was packed, and we headed home. Once we got home, we were impressed with how nicely everything was packaged. We ordered the crawfish chowder--excellent, creamy, and loaded with meat and veggies! We also got the boudin egg rolls, which were large, crispy, and very tasty. And then the King Trio: King crab legs, Dungeness clusters, shrimp, potatoes, and corn. There was a great amount of King crab, and we added an extra Dungeness cluster, so it was definitely plenty of food. Everything was cooked perfectly, though a few bites were a bit salty--but still delicious. We'll definitely be going back to try more dishes... and we won't try to walk in next time! Bring cash for a tip! I didn't a felt really bad... I'll hook her up next time!

I ordered the shrimp quesadillas and I was impressed by the buttered flavor of the flour tortilla that was crispy on the edges. I also was pleased with the amount of shrimp and cheese. The guacamole and the pico were fresh and tasty. For appetizers tried the Pistolette and were not overly impressed. The Boudin Balls and sauce were very good. I think they could have been a little spicier, but they were great. The bread pudding was just average in my opinion, but my wife loved it. My wife and I agreed that this will be one our go to stops when driving through Lufkin.

We also were shorted a corn and potatoe and we still to this day have not tried the quail eggs! (they are jarred and pickled). CRAWFISH!!!!! They were cooked perfectly and peeled easy. We got the spicy crawfish and it was just right. It came with potatoes and a piece of corn. We sat at the bar and was surprised to see the offering of beer from Abita brewery in Louisiana as well as some Texas craft breweries like Buffalo Bayou, and St. Arnold. The servers were nice and the atmosphere was great too. It was very busy yet it did not effect our service negatively. We drove an hour from out of town to eat crawfish and we are going back next week! Don't get oysters. read more
