We walked up and tried to go inside, only to find the door locked--then realized there's no dine-in! LOL, oops! We headed to the drive-thru and were greeted right away by the staff. From what we could see, the kitchen looked clean and the drive-thru area was well kept. After a few minutes looking over the menu, a sweet young lady took our order and asked us to pull forward to the waiting area. About 20 minutes later, she brought out our food, explained how everything was packed, and we headed home. Once we got home, we were impressed with how nicely everything was packaged. We ordered the crawfish chowder--excellent, creamy, and loaded with meat and veggies! We also got the boudin egg rolls, which were large, crispy, and very tasty. And then the King Trio: King crab legs, Dungeness clusters, shrimp, potatoes, and corn. There was a great amount of King crab, and we added an extra Dungeness cluster, so it was definitely plenty of food. Everything was cooked perfectly, though a few bites were a bit salty--but still delicious. We'll definitely be going back to try more dishes... and we won't try to walk in next time! Unassuming but Amazing! You literally drive into the shop and someone will take your order. You pull out and park and they bring it to you. We got a catfish plate (on special for $9.99), crawfish étouffée loaded with tails, and beignets. Everything was cooked/fried perfectly. The Crawfish Shop has amazing food! It seems to be very clean and has friendly staff. The only issue I have had when I've gone is that it takes a lot longer to get my food than what they tell me on the phone. If they say 10 minutes then it's probably going to take 20 minutes, but it's well worth the wait. read more

Went here last night for my wife's birthday. It was not busy, i tried to plan that on google it tells you how busy they are. I read some bad reviews that i didnt feel were good enough to keep us away. We got the pick 4 item platter with fries. Gator, fish, craw fish, shrimp. I would have desired more shrimp. It was a good mix of everything. My wife and i ate it all. It was good with the sauce mucho Bueno! I ordered a side of craw fish Etoufee, it was good, i would have rather of had the gumbo. My boys got corn dogs and fries, there fries were extremely salty... we have to knock off a star for that. One of the bad reviews i read was to much salt. read more

I didn't carefully read the reviews so didn't see that it was a drive through only! But we were starving so we drove through and ordered. Three trucks ahead of us so had about a 40 minute wait but this picky Cajun girl thought the poboy and the fried shrimp/ catfish were pretty good. Not sure why there were big chunks of raw onion on the poboy but after removing, the bread was good, shrimp were plentiful and fried well, lettuce tomato mayo and pickles completed the dish. Dope. This place is dope. Off the chain perhaps ? I'm not sure what slang actually works anymore. You should go here if you are hungry and eat their delicious food. We love it and it's on the way home. I'm the one to ask because I'm not a crawfish fan. My husband will down 8 lbs like it's nothing but I have to have their grilled shrimp platter with buttery potatoes and a seafood kicker. Also they have Snow Crab & Dungeness (Dungeness is my fav ) Don't forget to grab some shop sauce so you can dunk it in! Leave a review and let them know you love it! We were in Lufkin for an overnight stay after attending a swim meet in the area. We decided to check it out. The directions had us pass the driveway so we had to circle back. We pulled into the building and were handed a menu. We ordered seafood kickers, boudin link, and shrimp po boy. When we got back to hotel, we were surprised that there was only napkins and no plastic utensils. I didn't know this was a drive through when I picked it. I was pleasantly surprised when I returned to my hotel with my food. The Boudin was top shelf, very, very good. The crawfish etouffe was very good too and i got a side of the boiled red potatoes. They were nice and soft and very tasty. On the downside, the cost was on the expensive side for a drive-through with no waitstaff to have on staff to pay and that is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. I will reconsider a visit, but have to consult my bank account first. read more

Finally tried Crawfish Shop after driving by it for the past year. I'm from Lafayette, La and extremely picky about my Cajun food. Have to tell ya, I was a little skeptical about finding good Cajun food in east Texas but I was pleasantly surprised! We had oyster and shrimp poboys, chicken and sausage gumbo, boudin balls, and fried pickles. Will definitely be back and looking forward to trying the crawfish! read more

We absolutely love the Crawfish Shop!! We visit at least a few times a month. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The seafood kickers are my favorite and boudin balls are amazing as well! We like to share the seafood sampler platter when we can't decide on one thing. Excellent menu options...I am a crawfish fanatic, so I was pleased to see this place open on a quick trip to Lufkin on a Sunday, but if you want WELL SEASONED crawfish this is not the place. Maybe I should have specified spicy or something, but their wasn't ANY seasoning it seemed. Their crawfish were a decent size, but thankfully I had some boil seasoning at the house to dip them in. i got the boiled shrimp plate and it tasted like they were boiled in plain water then served it with some ketchup & mayo seasoned sauce . the sauce carried the whole plate to be honest, i'd give it a 2 out of 5 . maybe they should sprinkle some seasoning on the shrimp after they are boiled ? very hard corn and 2 tiny potatoes that came with it were thrown in a bag with the smallest amount butter . no seasoning anywhere in this dish but at least the shrimp weren't rubbery, cooked just right :) read more
