I have been coming here for 20 years and never been disappointed. They were only open on weekends…read moreback then and only from 11-2. The hours have expanded I'm pleased to report and the food is just as good as it ever was. Some employees are not here anymore and they probably retired but the ladies working here work very hard to make sure the customers are always full. The circus posters on the walls, the period dresses the servers wear, and the table cloths and curtains add a note of nostalgia and send you back to a simpler time. Keep up the great work and I will keep coming. I drive 80 miles to get here and have been for 20 years. So I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I have eaten here several times before writing this review…read more The price is steep but it's an all you can eat right!?! Well the first round they bring out is a whole chicken (tasted just like Brookeshire's chicken) then they asked exactly how many pieces you want after that. Mind you we had a full table of people so we needed another plate but it felt as if we had a limit. The greens are from a can. The chicken and dumplings are made from leftover chicken the day or so before. Also you have to get your own drinks and clear your own table. It's a neat experience for travelers but as a local it's a one time deal.

I lived in Lufkin for eight years and I've driven by mom's diner many times. The outside scared me…read moreI couldn't find what the place really could look like and so I pretty much avoided it. I tried it out today for lunch judging hamburgers around Lufkin. I order plain burgers with everything on it except mayonnaise. Only one patty of beef, hands-down mom's is the best in Lufton. I would rate second raise and third Whataburger Whataburger only lose us over Reyes because of the size of the overall burger it's as good as Reyes moms is huge packed full of extra good ingredients besides the beef patty and the fries are homemade. I'll be back here for breakfast and other things. This is a great place.

Mom's Diner is one of those classic spots that reminds you why comfort food is called comfort food…read more From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly service, a warm atmosphere, and that nostalgic diner charm that makes you feel right at home. The food here is exactly what you want it to be--hot, fresh, flavorful, and served in portions that definitely won't leave you hungry. The standout for me? The liquid butter. If you know, you know. You can pour that golden magic over the toast, the pancakes, the biscuits--basically anything that'll hold it--and it takes everything to the next level. It's the kind of simple, old-school touch that makes a meal unforgettable. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, grabbing a plate lunch, or just craving some true diner comfort, Mom's never misses. Great people, great food, and great prices. Absolutely a Lufkin gem--and we'll keep coming back!
