My Father and law and I took a trip to Springfield to try the Texas Roadhouse. As you walk in you are greeted by a very friendly staff person. We were quickly seated. We were impressed at the amount of table options and the massive variety of TVs from all vantage points. The waitress quickly stopped by and introduced herself she was very friendly and accommodating. She quickly took our drink order and shared where the menus were located. The menu is huge with options of every one. We ended up landing on the chicken fried steak, gravy and potato. As you can see be the picture below this was a ginormous piece of chicken, my father in law shared that the gravy and chicken were well cooked , it was just at the right temperature and tasted amazing. He ended up taking half of the meal home since it was so large. I ordered the FT. Worth Ribeye with green beans and a very good sized salad, wow the meat quality was solid , cooked to my liking , well done, it had a nice taste to it, I added some A-1 and tried the table Texas roadhouse bbq sauce. The green beans has so much flavor I could not get enough. We were stuffed. Over all we had a great experience, great tasting food and very friendly service from the staff, I was with my family how welcoming the environment was, the made you feel comfortable, not rushed and not pushy. I am looking forward to my next visit.

BBQ Chicken Sandwich was a little chewy and not up to snuff. Presentation was good.

The rolls are to die for and addictive. I went with the bbq chicken sandwich and the presentation was great, but the actual chicken was chewy and tough. We all switched to burgers which were much better and satisfied our hunger. Love the energy and Brie our server was great. This is a great family restaurant and you won't be mad.

We took a road trip and chose to stop in Eugene instead of Bend just for Texas Roadhouse. We came for dinner on the 4th and were worried about the wait since they only offer a waitlist, not reservations. I checked ahead and was shocked to see no wait time. The restaurant looked packed when we arrived, but we got seated right away. Our server Alex was fantastic. He kept the rolls coming without us asking, and our food came out super fast. When the kitchen made a mistake on one of our dishes, Alex let us keep the incorrect item and had the right one remade. We even got extra rolls to-go. Only bummer: no staff dancing that night. The rolls were just as amazing as I remembered. Soft, warm, and addictive. Steaks were juicy and well-seasoned with plenty of flavor. Some might find them a bit salty, but I loved it. My 20 oz bone-in ribeye looked a bit smaller than the ones I've had elsewhere, maybe the bone weighed too much. The Caesar salad was a little bland and could've used more dressing. As for the Cactus Blossom, while the price has gone up, the quality hasn't changed. In fact, this was the best one I've had. Usually, they're too greasy and become soggy within minutes, but this one stayed crisp. After visiting so many high-end steakhouses this year, Texas Roadhouse was a great reminder that you don't need to spend a fortune for a solid steak dinner. While there's a noticeable difference in steak quality, the value is hard to beat. We left full, satisfied, and even had leftovers for the next day. I just wish there were a location closer to home.

I always have a great meal and experience here. We always come here when we're in town or sometimes just make the drive out for it. The food and service is always consistent. I love that you can join the waitlist ahead of time and we never have to wait long for a table. The inside is always super fun and the staff are energetic and always so friendly. They always make sure to refill the delicious rolls! Love all the fun drinks and my boyfriend really loves their steaks and ribs! The chicken fried sirloin is my go to but this time I tried the shrimp and was not disappointed!

I came in here with my husband last night. We were doing our Valentine's Day dinner and shopping a day late, as he had to work Friday. We went in at 1700 hours and there was already an insane line. Although not surprising for a Saturday night. When we were finally seated, which felt like it took forever, we both remembered why it is always worth the wait. Our server was amazing. I love how they've gone away from the counter ordering and done table service through the entire restaurant. That was an excellent change since they opened. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, helpful, and listening to everything we said. She heard us, and got everything right, which is huge to me. I'm a stickler when it comes to a server listening so I don't have to send things back, and generally this is what I base my tips on. I also love that other employees see a need at a table and handle it without waiting for the assigned server. An employee clearing tables noticed we were out of bread and brought us more. I ordered prime rib with a salad and rice. My husband ordered the filet and ribs with chili and fries. I will be the first to admit I've hated chili for like my entire life, and I love the chili here. I'm always amazed by this fact. Steaks were cooked perfectly, everything was as we ordered it. Husband and I always share parts of our meals, especially the sides. We were talking last night at the table, and we've been coming here for almost 10 years. I'd say every 1-3 months for 10 years, and they've screwed it up once in that time. Once, and they handled it. But even during the Covid lockdowns and only doing takeout, they still got it right. I'm a big fan of consistency, and it's rare I get that level of consistency anywhere. But they absolutely nail it here. This place is like comfort food to me. Because even when I'm having a bad day, I at least know I'll always get an amazing meal and customer service here because it is always on point. Would I return? Absolutely! Again and again. This is easily our most frequented restaurant, and a favorite for date nights. Review 22 of 2025.

Great food, service, vibe and location! Always the best cactus blossom (onion bloom) and hot sweet rolls. I had a really nice time here and truly enjoyed the food, service and cold beer. Thank you!

This place was decked out in pink for breast cancer awareness month I didn't take a picture (unfortunately) because I was so hungry, but it was amazing. The real reason why I felt compelled to leave a review is because Grace, the bartender, did an AMAZING job! By far, one of the BEST people I have ever come across in the hospitality industry. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, did a great job suggesting items to consider, and she made it a point to know every guests' name! Way to go, Grace!!

Had dinner with the family. First time at Texas Roadhouse. The decor is nice. Darker tones with wood and enough TVs to keep you busy. The server was very nice and welcoming. Accommodated everything we asked for and kept a bright attitude. The food was very good. I had the smokehouse burger. My wife and kiddo had steak and shrimp. The bread rolls were excellent! Like Hawaiian rolls on steroids. Recommend.

I had low expectations but they def exceeded them. The steaks were at a fair price, so can't complain about that. The sides do come with up charge if you want it dressed with cheese, bacon and sour cream so be aware because they don't tell you that when they ask. Service was friendly and we were well taken care of. Steaks were delicious and savory. They even asked us to take as man peanut bags home as we want. Also can't leave out those amazing rolls!!

I had such a good experience here. Service was quick and employees were sooo friendly. The food was really great too, especially for a chain restaurant. The rolls come warm with honey cinnamon butter and definitely live up to the hype. I enjoyed the salmon entree as well. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. Prices are reasonable and you get large portions. I will say this location does get very crowded so put your name on the online waitlist before you plan on going.

They brought back those things! Get that pay machine off the table. Food is great! Service is great! However, having that video game/payment machine on the table is kind of ruining what we used to enjoy. 'It's just a box' , I get it, but it's like having someone standing there waiting for payment, takes up table space and offers up games? We come here to have some family time and there's this distraction that they won't take away, so I put it face down on the wall between booths. Then after our meal I am informed that we HAVE to use it if we pay with card, but our server will be able to take cash. I pay cash. Clearly I have a soapbox about these digital payments boxes, but we come out to dinner because we want to be catered and served and we pay a premium for it at any restaurant. I don't tip robot service and I don't tip myself either if I am my cashier. This is losing the human touch and lessens the experience. For those who don't care and think it isn't a big deal; the food is awesome and the service is great. Table and floors are clean and the staff is incredibly polite. However, I am no longer in a hurry to come back.

Food is pretty basic. The salads are just ick. Nothing fresh. Chicken is disappointing, taste texture all of it. Atmosphere is nice. Steaks are gross and overpriced. It's a no for me. Go down the street to BJS. Spend your money well.

There are restaurants that seduce you with promise, and others that test your patience before…read morerevealing their intent. Lion & Owl, on this particular morning, proved to be both--a place of evident talent, yet uneven discipline, where flashes of brilliance are offset by lapses that no serious kitchen should permit. Let us begin with the triumph. The buckwheat pancakes arrive not merely as breakfast, but as a composition. A stack of admirable loft and structure--evidence of a properly developed batter, handled with restraint and precision. The crumb is airy yet resilient, each bite yielding gently before dissolving into a delicate nuttiness inherent to buckwheat. A caramelized banana sauce pools generously, glossy and fragrant, its sweetness tempered by the cultured tang of crème fraîche. Toasted coconut chips scatter across the top like crisp punctuation, lending both aroma and texture. This is cooking that understands balance--sweetness checked by acidity, softness lifted by crunch, comfort elevated by technique. It is, quite simply, a five out of five dish. The kitchen, here, remembers what it means to nourish and delight. And then--alas--we encounter its counterpoint. The mushroom brioche toast, in conception, should be a study in harmony: buttery bread, earthy fungi, silken eggs, fresh greens. Yet the execution falters at its very foundation. The brioche--so essential, so central--is pushed past the threshold of caramelization into bitterness. In a bread so rich with butter and sugar, precision is everything; overcook it, and the entire structure collapses under a shadow of char. The garnish, too, feels careless--large stems of greenery draped without intention, rather than composed with purpose. It is a dish that looks promising from a distance but betrays its flaws upon inspection. A two out of five--a failure not of imagination, but of discipline. The brie and truffle macaron arrives as an afterthought--set aside, unannounced, uncentered, as though it were a spare utensil rather than a composed pastry. Presentation matters. It signals care. Here, there is none. And the macaron itself? A confection that should whisper with delicacy instead resists with age. The shell is hardened, the interior overly chewy--signs of time having passed unkindly. The flavor is confused: a sweet, almost vanilla shell encasing a mild, savory filling of whipped brie and timid truffle. Neither side asserts itself; neither yields to the other. It is neither dessert nor savory course, but a muddled compromise. A two out of five, and left unfinished--a silent verdict more damning than words. The mimosa, I am told, is bright and pleasing, though presented without flourish--a small omission, but telling in a restaurant aspiring to polish. A four out of five, competent yet unadorned. The pour-over coffee reveals a lighter roast profile: bright acidity at the fore, a nutty mid-palate, a gently lingering finish. It is, as you observed, "hipster coffee"--intentionally expressive, though perhaps too acidic for a more classical palate. On flavor alone, a three out of five. Yet the experience is marred by a most unforgivable intrusion: a hair in the initial cup. Such a thing should never reach a guest. Ever. And beyond the plate--there is service. Dishes arriving out of sequence. Eggs meant for one guest appearing with another's delayed entrée. A table divided, one diner finished while the other waits. Explanations that do not align with reality. Items placed without acknowledgment or intention. These are not minor stumbles; they are fractures in the very architecture of hospitality. The Verdict Lion & Owl is a restaurant caught between what it is capable of and what it consistently delivers. There is real talent in this kitchen--evident in the pancakes, in the conceptual ambition of the menu, in flashes of thoughtful composition. But talent without rigor is unreliable. And hospitality without coordination is hollow. For every moment of genuine pleasure, there is another of carelessness--overcooked bread, stale pastry, inattentive plating, lapses in cleanliness, and disjointed service. In the end, one must judge the whole, not the highlights. Overall score: 2 out of 5. A restaurant with promise--undeniably--but one that must remember that excellence is not achieved in moments. It is achieved in consistency, in care, and in respect for the guest at every stage of the meal. Until then, Lion & Owl remains... a place that almost is.

Busy but they had a table for us. Very nice decor, rotating menu. We had the buckwheat pancakes with caramelized bananas, dates, and pineapple syrup which was sweet but not overly so since the pancakes underneath were not touched by the syrup ended up being a really nice balance. Bacon was like a cross between pork belly and bacon (very thick) but really tasty. Breakfast Sando was good with in-house ground pork and a nice aioli. We also tried the savory macarons (Brie and truffle) which are delicious. Creamy and a tad sweet. Not too much truffle. Coffee was a bright tangy pour over-not my favorite type but some people really like that style. Oh, and we had a blood orange mimosa which was really good Overall an excellent experience! Definitely going to again when we are in town!

With that meal you will experience actual satisfaction and contentment. That's the first thing I have to say in case you're reading for a recommendation of what to order. Even better if you have it late night after experiencing the best Handel's Messiah concert at the Hult in December. I had a small slider of corned beef along with his amazing fresh Kale salad garnish with shaved Parmesan, walnuts, added protein -- sausage. It came with a toasted slice of soda bread that was great. But the slider was how I realized the corned beef was PERFECTLY prepared. A taste was not enough; I decided to get the dinner plate version to take the next day up to Seattle with me. Fantastic staff included Barkeep Illyia, whose birthday it was. She kept up a steady stream of attentive care, skillful service, friendly banter with each of the clients that came in and said good by to them as they left. Hospitality was her middle name. Love that they have mugs for the regulars hanging from the ceilings, the bar space is great but so are the arm chairs and cushioned seats in the corners of the pub. I even ran into two other concertgoers who had also been so energized after the Messiah concert that they didn't want to go home. We spent a half hour at the bar unpacking the highs and best points of the performance by the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony choir, and each of the soloists. We also unanimously agreed the tenor was fantastic, the baritone a paragon of artistic talent, the soprano sang incandescently, and that the final AMEN movement was soul healing and mind blowing simultaneously. Yeah. It was that good. This place was the right place to come to unpack it all over a Guinness and the best corned beef and cabbage in town.
