Had dinner at this particular TX roadhouse location on Saturday 7.13.19. Party of 5, arrived around 7:45 pm or so. So I expected there to be a wait, which was fine. After about 15 mins we were seated. It took about an additional 5-10 for our server to come to our table, which she was very apologetic for. By the time she got to our table we all had decided what we wanted to eat, so to speed things up we ordered our food and drinks at the same time. She came back with our drinks and of course bread, and then we waited. And waited. And waited some more for our food. She refilled most of our drinks and our bread and our food still wasn't there. I'd say it took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive and I was starving (and I don't eat bread). But my steak and mushrooms were cooked perfectly and I devoured the whole plate. read more

I've been coming here most Monday's the past couple of months for their early dinner specials which can't be beat. But, the real reason we keep coming back is the service. I've been coming here for years and it seems like the moon and stars have to be in my favor to get DECENT service out of this place. It's always something with the servers, takes 45 minutes for food to come out(for 2 people btw). Last server I had ignored us while loudly talking to another table about how great of a server she is. I will travel half an hour to forty five minutes away to next location instead of ruining my night here. PS: the water is murky so they probably have a moldy ice maker. read more

We got curb side since we haven't had a steak in 3 weeks . We called early to set it up for 5:30 and we got there at 5:20. We waited for over a half hour after asking if anything was wrong. We finally got our food and took it home. We were excited to open our food and eat but alas the food was cold and my med rare steak was way over done and bland. We are very disappointed. We understand the times right now but there is no excuse for the food we got for the price we paid. The food was great, waiter was great. The manager "Scott" came out to tell us (4 adults) that our bill was too high so he had to kick us out. We ordered steak, shrimp, appetizers, extra sides, and mixed drinks....4 people....the bill was $213 with tax. We were on our way home from Newport RI and stayed at a local hotel that recommended a Texas Roadhouse as a good place to eat nearby. When we went to check into that restaurant we waited over a 1/2 hour in line only to be told the wait to be seated was 1-1/2 to 2 hours. We've eaten in TR before and none are worth that wait, skip it. Instead we found The Black River Tavern which is in a local Golf Club. We had a great meal there, no wait. My best friend and I came here to celebrate my 4.0 semester in college. We were seated right away for a busy night. The waitress was nice and always checked on us. She was pregnant and was running around to all her tables checking on everyone. Very impressed with her being able to keep up on her tables. We ordered our food. We got a sample platter and steaks and salads. My steak was medium well and my friends was medium rare. Both steaks came out on point and were thick and juicy. I got steak fries with mine and she got a baked potato. Her potato was huge! The sampler had jalapeño bites (snake bites I think they're called), fried pickles instead of potato skins and boneless wings. Everything was great, not over cooked and on point. My family called in to make reservations to be seated for a large part of 17. We were advised over the phone that we the wait would be about 70 mins. Due to the party size we had to make 3 separate reservations. once we arrived they advised us that we would all have to sit separately. Each party was on three different sides of the restaurant for they were unable to accommodate us sitting together as told by the manager(even though we saw unused tables that could have worked out-but they said those tables were closed). 30 mins later a party of 13 arrives and i watched them combine tables to satisfy that parties' needs. I felt this was super unfair and lord knows im a super big tipper, but this time around I asked all my guest to refuse tip!!! read more

Since when is it ok to make people's life more miserable than it already is? I just wanted to make a takeout order over the phone after driving for six hours and I was hung up on three times!! We're in crisis mode at this time in our great country and instead of helping people you dismiss them because you want to go home on time? I could here someone breathing but didn't say how can I help you or something along those lines. Instead of helping, they picked up the phone took one breath and hung up. This location by the way states it's hours of operation are between 11:30 am to 9:30 pm. When my husband called for the fourth time, someone finally picked up and said,"we stop taking orders after eight pm". If this is the case, then why did no one pick up the phone or have an answering service to direct customers. Sadly they missed the mark with improper work ethic practices. My husband and I have been life long customers with Texas Roadhouse and our kids enjoyed their first steaks here. We usually have a great time when we eat here. I realize that under the current circumstances things are not going to run smooth all the time. We made an online order at 5:30 and was told our order would be ready at 6:20. At 6:30 we summoned the manager and he told us he would check on it. After another 15 minutes I asked the waitress that was working the parking lot what was up and she said she would check on our order. At 7:05 they finally told us that our order was given to someone else. They made it right by not charging us but it took 2 hours to finally get our food. Normally I enjoy ordering from here. Good food and service. Not today. Online To-Go order #4 included butter and sour cream for baked potato but these were not added to the order. Birthday dinner at Road House Elyria today- just want to share my experience as a warning to anyone who has children or elderly parents who may not know what to expect.... Server never brought drinks, food came out without salads, and one steak under cooked. Server never returned to table to check. I had to flag down another worker for assistance. Our salads came about ten minutes after we requested them from the manager with the wrong dressing. FYI five of us we all ordered Italian. The server returned to my table about twenty minutes later- granted we packed all of salads to go- the undercooked steak was packed to go- and I forgot to mention above, the undercooked steak came out without the side- with the dressings we requested earlier with ranch AGAIN!!! Another server of whom I'd worked with In the past approached the table and asked if we needed bags. Our server returned with the bags a negative comment for me and my family- loudly! Again asked for manager and the server reacted loud, intimidating and unprofessional! My child was scared and we as a family were astonished! I have seen footage of servers hitting guests and yelling / fighting on you tube!!! Never in a million years did I think that not only I would witness but fall victim to it right here in my community! It's a shame that you are threatened when you complain about your experience. Should we all fear going to dinner now in Elyria because of the ignorance and violence in this world?!?? I was about to be involved in a "fight" over salads and salad dressing! Went for Father's Day, and ended up with a tray of drinks shattered and spilled across our table and laps. My wife is on blood thinners, which made the situation not just bothersome, but truly dangerous. The manager comped the meal, but after saying he would set us up to come back again on him, we never saw him again. So we got to sit there, in our wet clothes, and eat a free meal, which took an hour to get in the first place. Seriously upset and let down by the way this was handled. Food was decent - service was horrendous. Multiple mistakes on food order. My 2 year old daughters hotdog was delivered 10 minutes after the rest of our food. I ordered steak and shrimp - came out no shrimp. From her reaction I could tell she made a mistake, she then came back said they dropped the shrimp on the ground in the kitchen and that's why I didn't get them. Finally received after I was done with my meal. Took 22+ minutes to get my check after we were done. I know this because my 2 and 4 year old who had been very good the whole meal were starting to lose patience and I was constantly checking my phone. She said the computer wasn't allowing her to access my check. Finally the manager came to help her at the POS at about minute 20. We were 5 feet away - manager did not stop by to apologize. After calling ahead twice and being very specific about seating due to Covid, our group of 9 older people were assured we could be seated at a table with an empty chair and space between each person, in a separate room/area of the otherwise very busy restaurant. Fast forward...the separate area was simply the back of the restaurant, the 9 of us were crammed into two booths (5 in a six seater and the other 4 in a four seater). Across an isle from each other? May as well not even been together. Right on top of each other in these booths, forget having room, there wasn't even elbow room. Literally the most disturbing event in a public setting for me since Covid began. These people couldn't care less about social distancing the guests. I'm not with any of these others ever, except 1 time per month - if that. No, I have no idea how careful they are on a daily basis. No, I don't want to sit literally 6" from someone's face. It was a filthy, disgusting, dangerous situation and I am still counting the days till I feel I would be out of the woods. Grab that almighty dollar TX Roadhouse. Worst place yet! Don't go here, please! It's not good. No food Choices! HORRIBLE! I'm telling you!

My Boyfriend and I usually get take out from Texas Roadhouse because it is usually very busy. This time, my boyfriend and I decided to go early and enjoy a special date night out. First things first, there are plenty of tables but they don't have enough people to seat us and we have to wait. Finally once someone comes to sit us, they get our rolls but forgot the butter. Okay not a big deal we just ask out waitress. Our waitress comes over, we ask for the butter and order our drinks, she brings us back our drinks and forgets our butter. So we ask again. Finally we order. We ask when we order to separate this on two separate checks since it is not a special occasion, we just wanted to eat in. I ordered a 6oz sirloin with jack cheese and mushrooms. The waitress asked if I wanted Onions. I said no (Onions are the one thing I wont eat). Our food comes out and what does my sirloin have? Jack cheese and onions. No mushrooms. I have worked in customer service before and I know how annoying it is, so I don't ask for a new one but I do tell the waitress. My Boyfriend was also going to wait to eat his until I got a new one and I didn't want his to get cold. I tell the waitress. Then the manager comes over, I tell him, he offers to get me a new one... but there would be a 20 minute wait. I told him no but I was very disappointed and I was mad I spend the extra 2 dollars on mushrooms and jack cheese where I didn't even get to enjoy the cheese since it stuck to the onions. Finally it is time to leave and our check comes by. Not only was I still charged for the jack cheese and onion mess, the waitress didn't apologize since she did say she wrote it wrong, she forgot to separate the checks. My boyfriend didn't want to deal with it he just wanted to leave at this point so he paid. When our waitress brings back our receipt she forgets to give my boyfriend his card, and almost lost it. At that point we had enough, and all they offered us was some free bread to take home. It will be a very long time before we come back here if we even do. And if we do, we are getting the takeout. In town on business and this was best choice nearby. Wednesday night. Seated at bar. Semi-crowded and typical ambience (good music, sports on tv's and noisy...which I enjoy). One bartender who's ok. Not too attentive, but available when you need something. I ordered NY Strip (Med rare) with baked potato and green beans. Steak was a great cut but it was overcooked - more like medium. I was disappointed b/c it looked to be a nice, thick cut. I considered keeping it but it's expensive and asked for a do over. She took it away (along with potato and left green beans) and said she'd bring another in a few minutes. The new steak (and potato) came about 10 mins later (great!) and it definitely wasn't as nice a cut. It was much thinner and almost looked like a sirloin but can't be sure if it was or not. It was cooked properly and tasted ok. Potato was dry though and now green beans are cold. The manager never asked if my second steak was cooked right and I wasn't offered a discount on it. I expected at least an apology from someone for the inconvenience. I did get the tab and was charged for one beer instead of two. Not sure if that was a mistake or a freebie for the issue but if I had to guess it was a mistake. Overall, it's kind of what I expect from Texas Roadhouse in any city. I really want to love the food here BC everything else is usually so great, but most times I'm a little disappointed in the food given the prices they charge. I will come back to TR for sure but maybe not this locale. The food lacked as did the service here. read more
