Texas Roadhouse has always been consistantly good, not a fine steakhouse, but quality meat at a reasonable price. It has become one of our "go to" places when we travel because we know what to expect and we've never had a bad meal. We had never been to this location but glad we stopped. Service was quick, attentative and very friendly. I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was very tender with the right amount of breading, the beans had a smoky bacon flavor with just a touch of vinegar. It was a solid choice. Wife had the 6oz. Sirloin, ordered it with "a little pink", it was grilled perfectly and she said very tender. Sirloin tends to be tough and sometimes grisly, she said it was perfect as was the sirloin in the country fried. Her dinner salad looked great as well, tomotoes, hard boiled egg, etc... Came back here again with some friends -- still good as ever, despite the 45min wait. Thankfully, Target is nearby and can walk over to kill some time. We tried the fried onion blossom as an appetizer with the Cajun sauce and it was pretty delicious! Unfortunately, we take basically our whole entree home because we were so full from the bread, cinnamon butter, the fried onion blossom, and our salads. We gave them a chance again and still have the same issues, put a name in for table was told 10- 15 mins waited 45 mins all while watching group after group get seated, when I ask about it they told me they take the wait list first and we still had a ten min wait time. Finally after we sat down waited another 10 mins for server to take drink order, 20 more to take for order thanks goodness the kitchen brings food out when ready or we would still be waiting. Their Ambiance is that of a Texas Style Eatery. A Laid back dress code and Country and Western style Music being played makes for a very relaxed and unrushed dining experience. I have yet to personally hear anyone complain. I am impressed at how exacting their Cooks are when it comes to Meat preparation. I haven't yet used a thermometer but my eyes my nose and my taste buds say it's perfect ! The Wait Staff seems to run like a well oiled machine that really wants your experience to be enjoyable, with very little time to wait from the time you're seated to the time you receive your bill ! It's Texas Roadhouse. They are pretty much the same no matter where you go. I personally really like Texas Roadhouse. I mean, who doesn't like their bread with cinnamon butter??? My favorites are the herb crusted chicken or the steak kabob. I really like their rice and the salads. Also love the peanuts. This location has good service and good food. Texas Roadhouse is the one and only steakhouse left we usually go to, unfortunately both locations in our area are always very busy. But hopefully soon another one will open 5 minutes from my house. Yesterday was the day I deeply regret ever going to Texas Roadhouse in Elyria, OH. I used the app to get on the waiting list, and that was pretty much the only part that worked out well, we came in and got seated immediately. We ordered the Cactus Blossom, a 12 oz Ribeye (medium) with sides and the Sirloin (medium well) and Ribs combo with sides. We also ordered a Diet Pepsi and an iced tea. I was not asked if I wanted sweetened or unsweetened, got unsweetened and had to add that artificial sweetener to it. The Ribeye was well done and actually so thing that even the best cook could have never made it medium. The sirloin was rare. My husband cannot stand raw or undercooked meat, so we had to switch steaks. I noticed the undercooked sirloin being very tough to even cut. I had corn as a side, it was not sweet and not buttered. In the meantime the manager stopped by (we did not call her) and we told her that we aren't happy, she took a bit of the check. The atmosphere was almost unbearable, certainly not for someone who wanted to have a conversation. It was extremely loud, apparently several birthday parties went on at the same time and the staff yelled, sang and clapped over and over again for these parties. In addition the music blasted very loud. At the end I was told to use that small table device to pay, but I had not seen the check, so I asked for one, the waitress printed it out for us. I told her I am paying with a gift card and/or cash and I am not using that device, that would be her job to take my money. She did, but never got me a receipt with the remaining balance of my gift card. She walked away to print a receipt, which still did not show my remaining balance. She had to walk back again to print me the remaining balance. I will give the new Texas Roadhouse in North Olmsted another chance once they open some time in the fall. read more

Definitely your average American chain restaurant. Lots of people. Always busy on Fridays and Saturdays. They do not take reservations but do accept a waitlist. You can do this on the app or on their website. You cannot do this by calling. You text a number and then once you do so you will get a reply saying how many minutes until you're likely to be called. You text "here" when you arrive at the restaurant. Since we knew the time limit they had texted us we just walked around Target so we didn't have to wait inside the restaurant. They no longer do the peanuts on the ground but if you ask your waiter he or she will bring you some free bags! The complimentary rolls and cinnamon butter are a fan favorite. july 16....we had a larger party for a celebration..arrived at 5:45, waited a while to be seated. unexpected for a thursday. the place was packed. after half hour wait they seated us... in a large booth but it was too small....2 of us had no place to sit! server went to check around, found 2 tables in another room; one was occupied. manager spoke to us. took well over 30 minutes, wait, for those diners, who had finished a while before, were still there. finally table cleaned. but as we were ushered to the new tables; we were stopped abrputly half way there. another waitress who knew we were waitiing on those tables, sat a group of people there!!! we went back to the too small booth , some of us standing, & waited for an adjacent booth to open. another 10 mins 3 of us were seated at that one, and ignored. no drink order taken, no silverware, no biscuits. an appetizer ordered at the large booth was never received. i'm diabetic & my sugar was bouncing. by that tme it was well over an hour of waiting. we weregiven 2 bags of peauts for 3 of us. food order finally taken; waited another half hour before it was delivered... umm.. us in the small booth still had no silverware! we asked for them again. i flagged another waiter for napkins; paper ones were brought. silverware came but given to large booth-- none to ours. we had to borrow forks from the others. i had to use those small paper napkins which fell apart.. never got a knife for my chopped steak, which was not cooked the way i ordered, (have had several bad steaks there so i no longer order them) it had a good taste but a bit dry. so was the other same order. could not eat vegetables for they were hard & needed a serrated knife to cut. the larger table got attended to often, ours did not. we had to stop waiter with requests. he was very friendly. midway thru dinner i remembered the appetizer! asked him where the appetizer was...he had taken the initial order when we were at the large booth. he said thought it was to take home. ??? person who ordered it made it perfectly clear it was taken with her drink order when we were first seated!! we sat a long time without food, others said no appetizers arrived for them either. biscuits not enough for all & never refilled. server said they wanted to cook the appetizers to take home as we were about to leave! those who'd ordered said no. one said to give them a coupon. did get a couple tickets for free onion. they expire next week... we left 15 mins after 8pm. that's a long time to be there also, the floor is so slippery from spilt liquids it was dangerous!i it's always like that!!! liquid laying is pointed out but it's never cleaned up. i slid several times & nearly fell. i saw 3 other diners that night send their meals back. yeah, this review is long, but not as long as all the waiting around. we usually have to wait a long time there to place order then wait & wait for it to arrive. i'm ok if i never go back. the one in st. clairsville ohio used to be the best place ever. read more

I have always enjoyed Texas Roadhouse. It seems that no matter what time you go, there is always a long wait. I called an hour and a half before we planned to be there and they said that was perfect because it was about an hour and a half wait. There was some confusion when we got there because we checked in and they said our table would be ready in 5 minutes. We went back to the desk after 5 minutes then they seemed annoyed because I went back to the front desk without getting the text message to be seated. I was only doing what they told me to do. Our server was great. The food is always good. We can never go there and not order the onion blossom and I love the Sangria Margarita. It was a great time celebrating some birthdays in our family. I wish I could give a better review. We did the call ahead wait and that wasnt followed. Our party of 4 (with 2 elderly seniors) were skipped over so the young hostesses could seat a group of 12 teenage boys who had not called ahead (they sat beside us talking about how no one called ahead and they had an ahour and a half wait). I was told we had a half hour wait yet when the boys jumped up because they were being seated. I went and questioned the girls and they lied about it. We had the strip and catfish. Catfish was overcooked and the strip was tough and tasteless. Very disappointing. Visited Texas Roadhouse in Elyria, Ohio for husband's birthday. Wasnt extremely busy as it usually is but it was a Wednesday night. Service was great. I've only been here a few times over the years and always get the Country Fried Serloin. Its a lil salty but the gravy is yummy and the mashed potatoes are good and taste homemade. They also have a nice house salad if you choose that as a side. All in all, a great experience. Came on a Friday night. Wait time was about an hour. We decided to sit at the bar and had been seated right away. The barmaids were great. The food, not so much. We started with a cactus blossom, it came out WAY over cooked (almost burnt), I ordered a 8oz NY thick steak and 25% of it was fat and gristle. No I did not complain. If you pay $18.99 for a nice steak, it shouldn't have any fat. It was cooked perfectly. Which a lot of chain restaurants don't do. Hats off the the person who cooked it. I also got mashed potatoes and gravy that had been sitting under the heat lamps so long that the top was hard. As far as precautions for Covid-19; there were TONS of people standing around waiting for a table. As soon as you walk in there were couples lined up. I don't think I've ever written a bad review and I will say, normally I have a really good experience at this specific location. But today was different. I had ordered takeout at dinner time through their website. When I walked into the To-Go section for pickup, there were 5 or 6 employees standing by the register complaining about a customer. They did not welcome me and instead I was met with glaring looks before they dispersed. I understand it's a busy Sunday night, but it had felt like they were taking their frustration out on me. While they were grabbing my order, one of the employees was yelling and cursing about a customer for all to hear. Mind you, there were several other customers waiting in the to-go area and all of them heard it as well. I have no complaints about the food, it was great as always. But the customer service was just terrible and they made me (and I'm sure the customers grabbing their to-go orders) uncomfortable. I'm not trying to be a Karen or get anything out of this.
