We used to enjoy TRH however, tonight's visit was obnoxious! Some guy was face-timing his buddy & got louder & louder! We were there to celebrate our son's recent accomplishment & couldn't even enjoy our meal. All tables around us were equally annoyed. We let the manager know upon our early exit! They don't do anything about it. That 1 customer is more important than the other 4 tables around this blabber mouth. I have been enjoying this location for years and enjoy the food service and atmosphere. I especially like their early bird menu on Monday - Thursday. I have tried many of their meals both steak and chicken. My wife and I come here once or twice a week and find it clean and friendly. We went there for our anniversary. The wait was only about 10 min. @4:45. I had a filet and my wife had a ribeye, both steaks were cooked perfectly, the filet was super tender, and the ribeye was perfect. Service and side dishes were also excellent! This restaurant is so much better then the Outback that we ate at last week, I feel the quality of the steaks at Outback was of a much lower quality then the Roadhouse steaks. The Roadhouse restaurant is our go to place for good steaks. The only drawback is the noise level when the place is packed, but I can overlook that for a good meal. read more

Had the most terrible experience of night full of racism and roaches. On Monday, we went to celebrate my daughter's pink disco cowboy birthday. When we were waiting, and in the middle of taking a picture an older gentlemen slammed his walker down at us to aggressively move us out his way with his golden girl looking wife. There was a slight exchange of words but the staff just blankly stared at us . Second as we were eating and dinning, my toddler which was at the inside the booth started screaming and getting startled. Turned around, boom there were roaches crawling out the wall!!! (Please see picture) The server got his manager, and the manager gave us the most nonchalant response. He stated that he called the exterminator before and they are clean. So apparently this is like a common issue?! The server was awesome, but I am not going to let a roach issue just be swept under the rug, like hundreds of people don't dine here everyday. This is unclean and unsanitary. So hopefully further investigation and inspection will happened because this is absolutely disgusting! Health services have been notified. read more

Haven't been here in years but I must say they are still good and consistent. Had the fried pickles as an appetizer but we could finish them because they were really salty. I got the rib and chicken critter combo with mash and a bowl of chili. Ribs were tender and falling off the bone. Chili with no beans is the best and of course who doesn't like those sweet buns with the cinnamon butter. Service was great quick and very attentive. My one complaint is the loudness. The music is up so high which makes all the people speak louder and it all just becomes too much. read more

The Pros: I thought I'd help this business by updating my review. Seems like some other yelpers have had some unfortunate experiences here lately but I think those must have been isolated incidents because in my experience, the food is really good here. Today I came here for the third time and my son, my husband and I all enjoyed our meals. My husband had ribs which he said were delicious and tender, my son had the giant grilled shrimp (two large skewers over seasoned rice) and I had barbecue chicken and steak. As sides we had chili, mashed potatoes, and broccoli and steak fries. They should seriously consider bottling their barbecue sauce and selling it-that's how good it is! My chicken was so tender, smoky and savory: definitely made with love. My steak was nicely cooked too. Please note that the pics were taken after we already started eating so our portions were bigger than what you see. The Cons: ordered a mango margarita on the rocks which was perfect the last time I came but this time it was kind of watered down-they added too much ice. I don't know if that's their attempt to save on liquor but I wasn't thrilled about that of course. Texas sized drinks are supposed to taste strong to the last drop:we customers pay enough for it. All of the portion sizes were generous except for the mashed potatoes-why such a small bowl? They were so creamy, too bad lol...Also this is a small detail but it would be helpful if they provided wet wipes considering most of the food is barbecue and can get messy. read more

I decided to go to TRH tonight for a take-out order. I ordered two 12 oz. Ribeye Steaks (Medium Well), a Cactus Blossom, Baked Potatoes, and two Salads. The food was excellent, as always. Cooked just right and was very tasty. The wife and I usually dine in maybe 3 times a quarter. However, this evening I decided to order via the take-out service. I was greeted by an employee named Yarelis. She was very mannerable, paid close attention to every detail, was engaging, and was super efficient at what she did. She was very knowledgeable and when my order was ready, she delivered it with a smile and provided well wishes. Management needs to pay attention to this young employee. Many of the youngsters employed, have no social skills and don't make the customer feel valued. They are frequently on their phones while working and rarely engage with customers. Food allergies can be scary or intimidating for people working in the food service industry. I understand being overly cautious, but when a patron tells a manager they have an allergy to dairy, and the manager replies "you can have a salad" and tries to leave without offering any other options, offense will be taken. Table of 5, one food allergy, and Sam was willing to watch us all leave because she couldn't be bothered to learn the menu at a restaurant she manages. It's probably time for this place to revamp their manager training and getting process. read more

Back to Roadhouse this evening. This time for take out. I was warned not to order take out because it's not the same. I definitely saw why it was said. The catfish was overcooked and crunchy. Side salad was delicious. Also ordered a child's meal of steak tips to try them. They were nicely sized for a child's plate, well seasoned but dry. I'll heed the warning in the future. I'll sit at the bar enjoying a beverage and then place my order. That way I'll enjoy the ambiance as well. read more

Stop being racist! We went today on Saturday, May 17,2025@ 3:45pm. Upon being seated they gave us half done rolls.Then they walked us past at least 7empty booths, before seating us in the rear area where ALL the Black people was sitting. It was hot and very uncomfortable! We walked to the front where it was cooler and told we couldn't sit there because there was NO server. Less than ten minutes later they had 4 white people sitting there! I asked my server can I have soften vegetables due to medical issues. We decided to try this location again after a terrible experience several months ago, bad choice! My steak came out blue raw which would have been evident if they had felt it even a little bit. Waitress disappeared and didn't come back until everyone else at the table was finished eating despite asking for a water never received. When I asked for it to be taken off the bill since everyone else was clearly done eating by then I was still charged for a side salad I only ate half of. This restaurant is under strict Covid protocol and that's a good thing. If you're visiting you should try to call ahead to let them know when you're coming. They say it's not reservations but they give you preference when you arrive. Also, when you arrive they only want one person to ask for a table then they want you to summon the rest of your party? I think this is too much but their hearts are in the right place. On to my experience with my kids. The server was great! Very attentive and friendly. The food was also good but took a while for us to get. I don't know the reason but I'm extending a little Covid grace. The server was quick to refill our drinks and get our appetizer out but our entrees were delayed. About the food: We ordered the Fried Onion appetizer and it was legendary! Just what we remembered last time we were here. For my entree, I ordered the catfish and it was delicious. The only problem I had is that one of my sides never came out until I was leaving, but oh that sweet potato...(more on the leaving part in a moment). My son ordered the Critters, fries and applesauce and loved them! No problems. My daughters ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers well done. One was perfect while the other was severely undercooked (see image below). This was a problem because the table across from us had a similar problem with their entree. The kitchen didn't cook it right twice. This was unfortunate. To rectify the situation the manager took our messed up order off of the bill. Also, after the waitress sincerely apologized, she finally brought me my side of chili that was neglected, and a whole new Bacon Cheeseburger entree for my daughter go. With the good comes the bad and we had some of both for this outing. If you're in Delaware I would still recommend this place. Had an early lunch shortly after it opened. Our meal was excellent until a cockroach ran across our table. That killed our appetites.I would have given a 5 star rating if not for that incident. Everything they say about butter biscuits is true! Had a wonderful time here in Monday evening. A 20 minute wait was not bad. The service was good and efficient I had a grilled chicken sandwich topped with sautéed mushrooms and it was juicy and delicious. Our server was super nice and attentive. The managers are mean, the food isn't anything insanely good, there are much better locally owned restaurants with better staff and clean environments. Initially walking in, I encountered a rude hostess/to-go staff member instead of being greeted politely. I did not get her name but she was a young Caucasian girl with long straight brown hair. I walk up to the host desk with my party of 4, while waiting for the hostess to finish speaking with another staff member for about a minute. She finishes, then turns to me and says the most phony "Hii." She does not even bother to ask how many is in my party or if I had a to go order, etc. The next young lady who helped us choose our steaks and guided us to our table was amazing, I did not catch her name either but she was a young black woman with long braids. I've been goin there for years and in the last view months I've noticed the portions are getting smaller and smaller. I was so pissed off Sunday when the manager stopped by my table I told him this tiny piece of steak was unexceptable. He gave me a excuse hes been using the same cutter for over 2 years. So what this piece of meat was suppose to be 6oz. I know meat shrinks but this was down to 2 oz it was child size ribs are cut down to 4 ribs now. Super impressed with the food that we got! Came here to redeem a free appetizer and go the blooming onion, and a full rack of ribs. First, I was super impressed by how busy this place is. I liked that when you walk in, you can choose which piece of steak you want. We didn't get a steak that day I went, but will next time! Second, the super soft bread with the cinnamon-honey butter was absolutely amazing. The bread was so soft and sweet. Omg, I couldn't get enough of it and I wanted more! Third, the blooming onion was super flavorful. Coated and deepfried with an amazing crust that had flavor with every bite. Onion and seasonings and call, especially with a really good chipotle dip. We did a giant take out night on 1/22. We ordered wings, steak kabob, a T-bone, chili and it came with 3 bags of bread! spent about $80 and it was everything you'd expect with takeout texas road house. Nothing to write home about. I was presently surprised about the temp after of the meat. I was afraid the steak would be over cooked or dried out but it held up pretty well. My one grip with the take out was the lack of butter. We had 3 bags or rolls but none of the famous butter. That was a let down for us and our friend who wanted our left overs the next day. But this is your classic run of the mill TRH, I have never been inside to eat personally but if you're craving it this isn't a bad stop! read more
