This is a corona virus happy story. Spare Rib Xxpress AKA The Spare Rib has food specials until social distancing ends. $5.50 for the cheesesteak, dollar extra for the mushrooms. This was a very good little cheesesteak. Very good toasted roll. The meat had a very nice steak taste. The cheese was good but needed a touch better melt. I love this Cheesesteak at $6.50. Nice young woman running the counter. Very good Cheesesteak experience.

The french fries came out a little fried, but the server was quick to fix this and brought out new baskets. The kids meals have a lot of food. I had the crabcake sandwich which I inhaled in a few seconds. It was delicious. The cioppino is also really good too.

Happy hour means $6 well drinks, so my standard is rum and diet Coke. Good drink, single pour of Cruzan. I chose to dine at the bar because the weather was a little steamy out. But I later took my second drink out onto their riverfront patio, and sat awhile in the shade of the building. It was lovely. For snacks, I ordered the blackened filet medallions and the garlic mussels. On a skewer, four hefty pieces of excellent beef were joined with a nifty horseradish dip. I did cut the steak into several bites per piece, so it was a good sized portion. My only preference would have been some garnish (greens maybe?). The mussels normally come with bread, but I let them keep it in the kitchen to sub my own GF bread from home. The broth was thin and lightly flavored, which I enjoyed almost like a soup (but was too embarrassed to tip the bowl). The patron to my right bemoaned the loss of a thicker broth from a previous recipe, so the bartender brought him some scampi butter which helped apparently. I really loved the light broth and found it soaked into the bread quite nicely. Friendly bartender gal cashed me out at my request before I took my drink on the patio. $30 plus tip, well spent. I could be a regular here, and look forward to another visit to Wilmington next time we are in Philly.

Just the vibe is awesome but to meet Mike. This is his place. He is the guy that was on D, D, & D. An absolute treat. Slow night so I got to talk with him. Again, more on that. The chicken skin appetizer. OMG. So good. I need to figure out how to make these at home. Had the FTC burger and tots as Mike was nice enough to dissuade me away from the Moo Caliente. Says on the menu "VERY spicy". Mike gave me the Reaper aioli for my tots. Holy hot! But tasty. If you like really spicy, take the Moo Caliente on. Now Mike is the owner, bartender, and designer of all this. I have never had the opportunity to actually speak with the guy I saw on TV but he is so down to earth he acts like just an employee. What an honor to get to hang out and speak with the owner. An incredible experience and you must try Farmer & the Cow if in Wilmington

They came out in a seashell. I don't know what that sauce was that they were covered in, but I wanted to drink it. I'm a ribeye person. I asked Marc should I get the tomahawk for two or the Porter house for two? He suggested if I'm a ribeye person to get the tomahawk It was cooked to perfection. My cousin and I shared it and we ate every bite. It came in a big plate with carrots and potatoes and green beans. It was so much food, but it was so good. We ate at all. Also got a side of focaccia bread, which was outstanding All the drinks we had were made with love, and the atmosphere was really good too Are waitress Mia also gets five stars She was great Anyway, I'll be going back there very soon and I recommend if you're reading my review that you will love it too I want to thank all the staff at snuff Mill for making our night a memorable one

What didn't do it for me at Snuff Mill: (1) The aged NY strip was just ok; I've had more tender steaks at random chains. (2) None of my 3 cocktails was a homerun. (3) Seems like the reservation system is deliberately wonky (nothing available online for the day I wanted but no problem when I phoned). (4) I've had better meals for half and even one-third the price. Service was professional and attentive. The dining room size is small and might inhibit conversation, but you'll be fine once the alcohol kicks in. I would certainly go back--there were lots of other things on the food and drink menu that looked good--but probably not anytime soon. Whereas I would gladly go back to La Fia and La Fête tomorrow.

Ohhhh, baby. This place is GOOD!…read more Upon learning that my local smokehouse had permanently closed, I went on a hunt for BBQ joints near my husband's job so he could pick up some take-out on his way home. Locale BBQ Post fit the bill. We called early to order ribs and sides, and by 1:15 they were already sold out of jalapeno creamed corn. So, we ordered a rack of ribs (to share), a side of mac and cheese, some cole slaw, and the meal came with a piece of cornbread. Everything I ate was awesome. The ribs were extremely tender and fell right off the bone. With a little sauce, they were perfection. The cornbread was also incredible. It was a little dry for my liking, but the sweet butter that came with it soaked right into the bread and made it taste incredible. The macaroni and cheese was pretty plain, but with a little crushed black pepper, it turned into magic. Even the cole slaw was good - and I am not a big cole slaw person. I finished my meal and was absolutely stuffed to the brim, and purely content. I will absolutely be eating here again!!

I came in hoping to be steered towards maybe some of their fast moving items or popular items, but no. I said I'm not sure what to get, and the gentleman walked away to go back to doing whatever he was doing. I ended up going with the 1/2 brisket. Hold on, ill be right back, I need to get a hunk of brisket out from my teeth. Phew! Ok back to my review. I was then asked what sauce I wanted. Since they have their own sauces, I wasn't sure which one to get so I asked for a recommendation and told the second guy I like sweet and spicy. So he grudgingly pointed to the list. Food - was really really really hoping the food would be amazing. Bc all they do is bbq, right? Boy was I off. Brisket was tougher than leather. How would you even serve this to someone? The strips cut were rock solid... dont even try to sell me that this is how brisket is supposed to be!!! Btw im struggling to finish this meal mainly bc it wasnr cheap and its food,, and i dont waste.. i might have to call my dentist after this struggle.. Their slaw was good and crunchy, hence the extra star. I'm good, ill stick to some of the other bbq places in wilmington. Food and service don't make me want to give them another shot. But you should give them a try, i hope your experience is better than that of mine.
