Went here with my mom when she moved back to Newark. Cannot believe the quality of the food here! Ambience is great, food is top notch, and the drinks are out of this world. It's busy so expect a fun, lively crowd and bring your appetite and sense of adventure! Wednesday is $2 oysters, so get ready to shuck!

This place is excellent for celebrating special occasions. The service is spot on and we were well taken care of the entire night. Really appreciated the recommendations for the night. All plates were well presented and the well balanced. It was very cozy and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We would love to come again to celebrate the next occasion. The Long Bone Ribeye is definitely the way to go.

Snuff Mill is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful--upscale without feeling pretentious, making it perfect for everything from date nights to celebrations with friends.

Wow, Snuff Mill is way beyond a 5. We don't typically have places like this in Delaware. Everything is stellar from the moment you step up to the front door, the decor, the staff, the food. This is true 5-star dining and every bite is magical. The most delicious filet mignon I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

We had a great experience at this small, intimate, upscale restaurant for our wedding anniversary. First of all, reservations are needed as the establishment only has about 10-12 tables. It's a great spot to go for a nicer occasion, fancier cocktails, and truly delicious food!

Visited last night for the first time and it was delectable! Highly recommend the escargot! The garlicky sauce and toasted sourdough are the perfect combination to complement the texture of this perfectly cooked appetizer! Also had the venison tenderloin special, and it was like slicing through butter and had zero gamey taste! Exceptionally prepared! Can't wait to visit again and try a steak next time.

I absolutely loved Snuff Mill Restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. However, my friend and I decided to eat outside because it was such a beautiful day. Unfortunately, I forgot our waitresses name but she was amazing! So friendly and cheerful. She gave us recommendations and explained everything on the menu in great detail. And finally the best part of the dining experience... the food. Every item that we ordered was incredible. The crab bisque was a perfect appetizer, so creamy and flavorful. We also ordered their house-made focaccia bread for the table and let me tell you... it was the best focaccia bread that I have ever tasted. So warm, crisp, and buttery and it was accompanied by a brown sugary butter that was both sweet and savory. Our entrees were absolutely delicious. My friend enjoyed a Spicy Nashville Chicken Sandwich with French fries. I ordered the house-made ricotta gnocchi which was prepared in a delectable peach and prosecco compote mixed with heirloom vine-ripened tomatoes and crispy prosciutto. My mouth is watering just from typing this. Snuff Mill also had an extensive wine and cocktail menu however my friend and I went with their local beer from Wilmington Brew Works which complimented the meal perfectly. I finished the meal off with their peach cheesecake that was highly recommended by our waitress. I haven't been dining out much lately because it's so expensive and the quality of food has gone downhill at many places but Snuff Mill had me falling in love all over again with dining out. Snuff Mill is reasonably priced and the meal was not only delicious but memorable.

I went to Todd's Salon and asked Todd what is a great lunch place in the area. He referred me to this restaurant, and told me to get the burger. I took out from here and very friendly Michelle K. took my order. My burger was an excellent quality burger 5/5. My fries were about a 4/5. I look forward to returning every time to this restaurant after getting my hair done. I am excited to try different types of meat, because I don't eat meat that frequently. The decoration inside the restaurant tasteful.

My friend and I had lunch at Snuff Mill a few weeks ago when we visited Wilmington for the day. I absolutely loved our lunch. The restaurant is such a hidden gem. It's located in a sort of strip mall - although one with some charm. But then you walk into this tiny restaurant, and it has so much charm and great ambiance. It has tiny, cozy bistro vibes. And when I saw that butcher counter, I knew we were in for a great meal! We shared an order of their carpet bagger (flash-fried local oysters, shaved filet mignon, thick cut bacon, Roquefort cheese, and jalapeno ranch - 3, served on soup spoons), the special soup of the day (it was a chilled soup, but I can't remember the ingredients now), the stone fruit salad (arugula, radicchio, stone fruit, bacon, marcona almonds, watermelon radish, pecorino, cherries, and apple-lemon-poppyseed dressing), and their signature beef burger with bacon, sauteed Vidalia onions, American cheese, dill pickles, and special sauce). All the food was really good - delicious from start to finish. And their menu is so great, we really struggled with what to order! (I'd happily return to try more off their menus after trying these four dishes on our first visit!) They also had great drinks. We started with two of one of their summery cocktails, which were so refreshing with lunch on a hot day. We also had a couple of glasses of wine from their great wine list. The service was so great and really added to our experience. We didn't have a reservation for lunch, and they were really packed (it was a Monday holiday, so there were a lot of people out and about for a weekday, plus it seems like a really great place for a business/work lunch), but they found a table for us. And the service was so amazing from start to finish. We had intended to visit a museum in the early afternoon, we were having such a good experience/meal that we hovered and didn't make it to the museum. But we didn't mind - we were having such a great time at Snuff Mill, we didn't want to leave. I'd absolutely return for another meal!

What a gem in Wilmington! A friend and I stopped in for lunch sans reservation on a holiday and it was bumping! The staff was so friendly - they set up a table for us and got us seated rather quickly. The interior was a contrast to the strip mall it's in. We had planned to make it a quickish lunch but we were having so much fun we were there for an hour and a half. But we weren't the only ones that lingered. It's also a smaller kitchen and restaurant so the food took a bit of time but the staff coursed the items out perfectly. We started with the carpet bagger, a fried oyster and pieces of their million dollar bacon, and their soup of the day a chilled cucumber and melon and jalapeño soup. The gin cantaloupe cocktail was refreshing on the hot day. And we each got a glass of white wine - I loved their Chablis (it was $23 a glass! ). The burger was the highlight and one I would eat again and again. It was a perfect sized on the smaller end but perfect for sharing since we also got the stone fruits salad to share. The salad lacked in fruit and was more greens which was delicious as it was perfectly dressed with bits of watermelon radish. My only complaint is the pecorino cheese pieces were too big. Wonderful cozy restaurant with the cutest table setting - I would for sure some back and evidently the burger is $13 on Thursday for lunch!

Wow - this is truly a 5-star dining experience. I want to start with shouting out the staff because they go above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly and I appreciated that the owner came around and talked to us! The food stole the show though. I'm still thinking about the caviar linguine - WOW. And the steak frites - I typically am pretty disappointed (even in Paris) but this was perfect cut of meat, perfectly cooked, etc. definitely better than anything I've had in NYC! I would highly recommend!!!

Great little restaurant we found off of I95. Food and service were top notch. Our waitress Michelle made the dining experience so enjoyable. She was personable, patient and knowledgeable. Explained all the entrees, specials and offered suggestions. Would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again passing through.

The food we had was fine. The mussles and frites were good, I would have thought the fries come with the sauce but they didn't. The risotto was slight malt under seasoned. The beet salad was really tasty! This resturant is always thorough when it comes to allergies. They have a hard time with the two server communication aspect. I've been here twice and both times they seemed one beat off from each other. Also for having two servers they don't check on you often enough. That could also be a communication/timing thing. (if you think someone else was there or not) we only ordered one drink because we didn't want to wait after we finished our food to order another. The drinks here are fantastic though. We dined for 2 hours and only was able to order one drink and apps. We probably would have enjoyed more but personally I didn't have to time sit any longer. I would give them one more try but 202 is a pain and this might not be worth the drive with so many comparable options of fine dining in Wilmington.

However, I had found myself at a Longhorn Steakhouse in Orlando...and, unhappy with being there, ( yep, I'm a food snob when I dine out) chose the cheapest steak on the menu, believing the chain would likely ruin the meat anyway. Much to my surprise, they served me a perfectly cooked flat iron nicely seasoned that wound up being my new favorite go to cut. Glad to have been wrong. So despite my usual reservations, we came to the Wilmington location, where I once again felt that I just could not trust going for the higher priced cut. I wound up with the Sirloin and red rock shrimp combo with upgraded sides of crispy Brussels sprouts, and my wife opted for the Flo's Filet. We both ordered our steaks medium rare. She ordered a decent glass of wine, nothing to write home about, and I managed to find a nice Dogfish beer. Not the best place is you are a connoisseur of fine wine and beer...but serviceable at least. To get right to the point, the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and seasoned nicely. The upgraded sides were worth the upgrade, crispy and delicious. The shrimp were more of a surprise as they were also perfectly cooked and seasoned...something I really didn't expect. So, nice surprise. And the fact that I'd ordered the cheaper sirloin did not mar my enjoyment...they cooked it in a manner that made it taste like a better cut! Service was good...but a slight glitch with my wife being brought the wrong salad, which the server apologized for, and then left up on the divider and disappeared never to return with the proper salad. I flagged down our waiter, who was mortified by this, and corrected the matter quickly Unfortunately, I'd already finished my salad and our hot food had just arrived. Normally this would have set me off and ruined my dinner, but our waiter was so gracious and polite...and corrected the matter in seconds. Then, the really nice meal arrived and we were both happy with our steaks, so overall it was a small glitch. This location has plenty of parking and I really like that you can JOIN THE WAITLIST before you get to the restaurant. This allowed us to arrive shortly before we could be seated without having to wait too long. If you are looking for high end steak, this isn't the place...they serve CHOICE steaks, really nicely cooked and seasoned at a reasonable price. The sides are good, service is good and you will have an enjoyable meal. I won't think twice about eating here next time. The chain proved to me twice that I can order a lesser cut of meat and STILL be quite happy and satisfied.
