MLB Ballpark #27 Globe Life Field is a solid ballpark but it's in that middle range of ball parks like Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago White Sox, and Washington DC. I try to rate ball parks on 4 categories: Food, Architecture, Fanbase and something I just call Other Architecture: Kind of felt somewhat "cookie cutter" but there was a huge glass wall along the outfield lines that is cool. The roof is retractable but was closed when I was there so that may be why it felt cookie cutter to me. I like my baseball outdoors even if it is 98 degrees. Food: They have all the usual fair that you would expect. Then they have the insane! A sombrero nacho hat for 40.00. This is more of a 9-layer dip than actual nachos. You can actually eat the hat, and we did. I had another friend get a 24-inch hot dog that was more of a sauage with grilled onions and chili. He ate the whole thing! Luckily, he wasn't rooming with me that night. The beer selection didn't seem as large as I would like. They should have more local breweries like Martin House on tap. Fanbase: The place wasn't full on a Friday night, but it was probably 2/3's full and the fans were all cheering and dressed up in Rangers' gear. Lots of ladies in jerseys and cowboy boots. Other: Texas Live! is next door so you can get a crappy beer and pregame there. It's also next door to Jerry's World (Cowboys). There is tons of parking but it was 60.00 to park by the stadium. read more

I was 12 and he was 11 but same height as me, of course nothing we can do about long waiting lines had great parking because of my dads company covering for the tickets and free food there, we won 8-1 3 home runs! After a while me and my friend got bored a little bit everything just went well beautiful view from the elevator view of AT&T stadium loved the game today despite trash food at the sky porch don't get food from there but it from the standard stands but it's just so fun, roof was closed at the time and so good thing it was. Unlike my fellow Texan Yelper friend here,I'm not an MLB fan. My history on Texas Rangers Baseball Is almost the opposite of his. When I was growing up in Dallas,we were almost unaware there was a team here. Unlike the northeast,we hadn't accrued decades of baseball tradition yet. But,those initial seeds were being planted. It can truely be said until George Bush bought the team in the 1990s,got a new stadium built and poured his heart into the effort,The Rangers were also rans. Many games later, many years of seeing nothing but box scores to tell me what happened and how they did, a few chances to see them play away from home when the Army had me elsewhere, the rare chance to see them on TV in the early years and the other times I saw them play in the home stadium over 51 years, they have always been MY team. Heh, a lot of those were very lean years. There were years I sat baking under the sun with my skin matching the Ranger Red hat. Sometimes, there were a couple of stars. Sometimes, it was stars in their final years. Sometimes, there were a few memorable games during a season. Lots of players, managers, and owners. The globe life field that's all indoors is so awesome! I love that you can watch the game without the dreaded heat! It's pretty clean and very big inside. It's almost scary walking up and down those long steep stairs but just walk carefully and slowly. There's tons of shops and food all around the field and everything is very organized and well maintained. My husband and I got to get a nice jersey and we got some cute Doggy clothes too. Some must try foods are the baseball Bat beers, the baseball hat blue bell icecream, the broomstick (there's hot dog or burger but I'd recommend the hotdog because the burger patty was quite dry), the pepperoni dog, and the birrera tacos. The bat beers are a little annoying to carry and drink BUT it's a cool souvenir, and the quality of this thing is soo nice! I had like a million people asking me where I got it and how they wanted one too LOL . The baseball hat icecream was another cute souvenir we used in our pup photo when we had them wear their clothes haha. read more

Took advantage of the spring Rangers ticket sale back in Nov 2022 and scored some $10 tickets (per seat) for our first baseball game in Texas! The Globe Life stadium is new (built a few years ago) and is really like a theme park! There are food "halls" (fancy term for basically food courts lol), various vendors, gift shops, breweries, BBQ restaurant, and other eateries within this massive stadium. It felt more like an amusement park than the baseball stadiums I am familiar with up north. The food was better than expected! However, a bit pricey as expected! Parking wasn't horrible since we got there an hour and a half earlier and parked at a nearby lot (not affiliated with Globe Life) for $20 cash. It was definitely worth it because we didn't have to sit in a parking lot of cars once the game ended! The old decommissioned Rangers stadium was in great condition, so not sure why they built this one- other than the fact that the ceiling can retract on sunny pleasant days! read more

I know the Texas Rangers for two things: Nolan Ryan and George Bush. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I remember the Texas Rangers were a somewhat popular baseball team because of Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan who finished his record-setting 27-year career in Arlington. Ryan only played the tailend of his career for the Rangers from 1989 to 1993. By the time he joined the team, he was already a World Series champion (1969) and seven-time All-Star (his eighth appearance would be in his first year as a Ranger); into his mid-40s. Former US president George Bush (the second George Bush, W) was a minority owner in the Rangers from 1989 to 1998, coinciding with Ryan's tenure with the team. Even after selling his stake in the team, Bush has made many appearances at Rangers games in Arlington. Pretty cool. Since the franchise's first season in 1961, the team has made the postseason only eight times with their first appearance being in 1996, 35 years later. The Rangers' best years were in 2010 and 2011 when they advanced to the World Series in each of those seasons. In 2010, they lost to the San Francisco Giants, 4-1, but in 2011, they took the St. Louis Cardinals seven games. Some of the best players for the Rangers during this successful stretch included 2010 American League MVP Josh Hamilton, 2010 American League Rookie of the Year Neftali Feliz, Vladimir Guerrero, CJ Wilson, Michael Young, and Adrian Beltre. I know you think I don't have the balls to post this review, but what do you Base that on? This baseball park is big and pretty cool, and looks a lot like - well, a baseball park. It's kind of dwarfed by the Cowboys stadium which is funny because the stadium hides behind it sometimes in a sort of Stadium Eclipse - then even when the stadium is being eclipsed you can hear it squealing "I am a Stadium" from behind the baseball stadium. What a time to be alive!!!! I felt like singing, "Root root root for the home team" on the way to the game. LOL...such a cornball. I enjoyed my day at the Ball Park. They have food, folks, and fun. Since then, I have been a couple times, but my initial experience was crazy..... I was meeting a group. Although I have worked at the Cowboys stadium, I didn't know what to expect. I arrived early for parking purposes but it was already a mess. Luckily my friend already had a plan. Meet the shuttle at a nearby restaurant for pick up. Great!! But...this was everyone's plan. I walked about 2 blocks from where I parked to the restaurant for pickup. I knew it would be dark when returning but I was hopeful we would sort that out as a group. I got there later than my group so they had went ahead. Parking had took up a lot of time. They guided me on how to get tickets and where to meet. I still got lost. No sense of direction. Once we linked up, it was great. It is definitely smaller than the Cowboys stadium and has less food options and less frills of course, but it held its own. I was sooo excited about the food options they did have. There was a vegan, a meat connoisseur, and a picky eater in the bunch. We all ate and good!!! options for everyone... The seats we got on Groupon really cheap were not bad at all. We met new friends and they taught me a thing or two about baseball. The kids were so into it. I loved it was a family affair for some. Great laughs, great food, great atmosphere. If you in the area, you must try. Don't forget your team gear. Oh, I had better seats than the Groupon seats. Right behind the home plate, I think it was. Close enough to touch the players if you wanted. Same experience!! So, don't spend a ton of money. read more

The ballpark is beautiful. I am sad that it has a limited time left. However the park states that they have a great selection of gfree foods. They have one location at one end of the park that is a small store with mostly health food. That is great, and great that they are offering some healthier alternative to a majority of the junk food normally served. The old stadium had great food so I really didn't care that we had losing seasons , we had a great experience at the ballpark. This current food, I would not subject to a dog. And you also get to pay double the amount. I was looking forward to garlic fries today they were frozen and garlic and Parmesan were powder. Nachos gross, equivalent to a junior high football game. Hot dog was grey. I think the health department needs to take a look at this food. And the Head office of the Rangers needs to address the true abuse that fans are being subjected to. I always have a great time at the Ballpark. I'm doing the things like going to the Rangers Ballpark that my dad never took me to. I want my kids to experience the Ballpark atmosphere. I want my kids to have great childhood memories. I'm a Adrian Beltre fan. So the kiddos are somewhat of a Beltre fan. They wait with anxiety for Beltre at bat. It was hot hot hot today! But, I love the Texas Rangers. Being from Kansas City I was rooting for my Kansas City Royals today. This is a great stadium and the seats are dynamite, even in the nosebleed section. We scored some free tickets from family today and enjoyed the perks of sitting in the season ticket seats. These seats scored us seat-side service. What a cool perk. It was nice being able to order a bottle of water and ballpark food without getting up! Awesome seats! I've seen well over 200 games at the Ballpark since I ditched the snow from New England over 20 years ago. For the most part during those years, the Rangers have been a decent if not great team. A little more luck there back in 2011...and they would have had their 1st World Series trophy. Even though it's gotten a bit pricey, there are deals to be had to come see MLB in North Texas. The Rangers do their best to give a good show and when compared with other MLB teams, they are priced on the cheaper side still. Look forward to seeing what the prices are after they move across the street in 2020. But I won't miss the afternoon games where I can't even sit down, because my seat is 150 degrees. read more

Opening Day - 2019. What a disaster! Got to the gate 40 minutes before game time. Waited in line 1.25 hours! Missed three innings. They charged 3x's the normal price for the ticket and they can't do better? This was my 5th opening day and it has never been like this. It will be my last Ranger's game. An amazing ballpark! Plenty of parking available, every seat is a good seat for the price you pay. Affordable family fun. Make sure to check the calendar as they offer many different "days" such as dollar dog day, dollar ice cream day, autograph day etc. The ballpark also has several games per year where they give out merchandise such as large bobble heads, t-shirts, hats, bags, posters, etc. very generous. There are plenty of bathrooms available, with that said you do not have to walk too far from your seat for relief. There is plenary of food and beverage stands, literally all over. The food and drink pricing is compatible to most sporting events, though significantly cheaper than a "NFL" stadium that shares the same zip code. It is easy to purchase food and beverages without even leaving your seat. There are plenty of vendors that walk the stands delivering a wide selection of frosty cold beverages. When parking there are several areas to choose from. You can park on one of the ballpark lots, or park a little further away and use a "parking service lot" for a cheaper price. If you plan to do this make sure to give yourself extra time. It can get very hot during the late summer months, day games (especially in the Lexus terrace along the 3rd base line) so make sure to stay hydrated and WEAR SUNSCREEN. The Texas Rangers will be moving into a new covered stadium soon, so I suggest catching a game here while you can. You won't regret it. read more

Attended Angels-Rangers May 18, 2022. Sat in Sec 14, row 2, seats 9-10. Rangers ownership and venue/food folks: Attend a Dodgers game in the Dugout Club section and LEARN HOW TO DO SEATING AND ALL-INCLUSIVE FOOD/DRINK Sections!! Not worth the $600 total StubHub price. Save your money and sit elsewhere and get food from the concourse food stands. Seats are too narrow, especially considering these are "supposed" to be the ritzy seats (right behind homeplate and the screen). Cup holders are on armrest and too close to seat holder, so there's no way to not put your whole arm across the cup holder when sitting down. We left after the 6th inning. If the seats were more comfortable we would have stayed the whole game. They're basically Fenway Park's wooden grandstand seats but with padding. Lexus Club buffet: Access came with the tickets. Very poor buffet for the money. A joke actually. Golden Corral and Hometown Buffet are better. Taquitos and guacamole were bland tasting. Boneless wings absolutely awful, I think came from a bag in local supermarket frozen aisle. Italian sausages very big and juicy, grilled onions with it very good, but no Italian rolls, just hotdog buns. Hot dogs very good and greatly done. Prime rib had to be re-cooked, as it was brought out pretty much raw. Cornish game hen or quail was EXTREMELY SMALL, hardly any meat on it, pretty much just skin and bones. Why bother having this on menu then?? Mixed veggies had to have been from a frozen bag at the local WalMart. Mashed potatoes were bland tasting. No rice, no small potatoes, no seafood other than shrimp and small sectioned salmon fillets which were bland tasting. Dessert section was pretty much store bought I think. Nothing really original or very well made with the desserts. Brownies, some cake like thing. Alcohol was included so good if you drink alcohol, except for the fact that the waitress said they RAN OUT OF SALT when I ordered a margarita with salt and lime!!!! WHAT BAR RUNS OUT OF SALT?!?!?!? GET THE REMAINING SALT PACKETS FROM THE FOOD SIDE THEN!!!! Geez!!! I also didn't see any limes so they probably ran out of that too. For some reason the napkins and silverware (wrapped together) were in a container with ice. Hmmmm. Why was that needed??? Also, no bottled water, just a jug dispenser like you would find at a local hotel. So they can have this great bar with all different types of booze, yet no bottled water? They should have gotten a couple 32-packs of Dasani when they were at Walmart getting the bags of frozen veggies. Summary: Don't go. Sit somewhere else and save your money. My advice is to park @ a nearby restaurant that offers free shuttle service to and from the stadium. Take advantage of happy hour prices on food and/or drink at the restaurant and then head on over via shuttle to the game. I've only used the shuttle service that runs through Humperdink's, so I can't vouch for any other restaurant that provides this convenience. Their shuttle service seats 15, begins @ 5:30pm, and makes its rounds every 15min. Their ballpark food options have come a long way and are more than just nachos, peanuts, and luke warm beer. Next time, I won't eat so much at the restaurant and save room for BBQ, churros, and a vegan friendly option if I feel so inclined. If you like to keep it simple and classic, check their website for $1 Hot Dog dates (usually on a Wednesday) and for other promotional games. Any day or night of the season for a Ranger's baseball game is a great time for any age or group in size. I must say though, I will forever remember to attend a 7:05pm, Friday night game sometime in early April. It's hard for me to enjoy an outing if I'm overly hot, and I DID NOT BREAK A SWEAT! And at the end of the game, there is an OUTSTANDING fireworks show. GO RANGERS!! read more
