Well laid out stadium. Food and drink are easy to find pretty much wherever you are. Seats were good and of course the crowd is wild. Parking was easy on us but we have a pass. You might find yourself parking in the neighborhoods $20 - $40 depending on the yard. Safe and easy walk to the stadium whoever you park. Normal protocols at the gate...no food or drink except for a off the shelve water bottle. Heavy police presence as you can imagine. read more

I am writing this to WARN anyone reading this to NEVER use Stubhub for any transaction, especially electronic tickets. I purchased two tickets for an upcoming TCU football game on October 5 -- the game is November 9th. These tickets were for two out of town friends. The electronic transmission failed and we never received the tickets. I have called the last three days, each day we get a different person (not in America) with a different answer just to get me off the phone. Now they say it will take 24-48 hours for them to get back to us. UACCEPTABLE!! There are lots of other ticket services out there. Don't use Stubhub! read more

Gooooooo frogsssssss!! This is a stadium that continues to be improved on. They are building new suites on the opposite site of the stadium. The nosebleed seats may be very high and require a lot of steps, but they make for a great view of the whole stadium. I enjoy the big screen and the smaller screen to watch replays and such. Beer is available for purchase around the stadium now, you just get your Id checked at one of the designated stations. This does mean that you can no longer leave at half time to tailgate and then go back to the game. The only reason for leaving and being able to return is due to medical concerns. Their cajun brat is actually really good and it was much better than the touchdown beat. Lines for food can be long so avoid half time snacks. Last note: make sure to bring a clear bag or purse. They are very strict about the size of any non clear bag. read more

I am sure a lot of people remember the old stadium. Well, AGC, is a 100% upgrade of the old lady that needed a facelift. Having been to the old stadium many, many times (Having 20 TCU family members that are alumni, including the wife), Thank goodness TCU got it right. With the smallest Alumni in the Metroplex, TCU designed it to seat 48,000 comfortably. Open spaces and easy to get around. Only issue is if you are sitting in the 300/400 decks, you have two ways to get to the top: 1. Elevator (and a long line) 2. Stairs. Great family atmosphere and now TCU has a real football stadium. Best parking is at Paschal High School, and take the shuttle. read more

This stadium is experiencing some growing pains, but in a good way! The tailgate experience is amazing. There are so many kind Horned Frog fans ready to share. Let's talk business though: Want beer?!?! Check in at tye ID verification line. It sucks... Took me an extra 26 mins after entry, BUT it's the only way to get a beer unless you are visibly WELL over 30 (apparently, I am not!). The lines are horrible hella long. I took to getting a beer with 10:52 left in the 2nd... I even went through the "Beverage Line." Still, I missed the WHOLE second quarter. The beers runabout $7 each, the bottled water was $4 a peice. Seats were good and the place was packed, but all in all, a great experience for this neutral guy! read more

I was COMPLETELY FLOORED by how state of the art the new stadium is! The current students have no clue how #blessed they are that this is their home stadium! One thing I like about college stadiums is that they never really tear them down and build newer, shiny versions of them. The keep their class and charm, you still have to sit on metal benches but you know you are sitting in the same place someone did 80 years ago. The architecture is classic, timeless, yet updated in places. Amon Carter Stadium at TCU is like that. Sure there is a modern (80s'ish) press box and a within-5-years club section on the south end zone, but the rest of the stadium is still the way it looked when it was originally built. The prices are cheap, the product (TCU football) is arguably one of the 10 best programs of the last decade, and the experience is quality. Sure, there isn't alcohol sold, but find me a college stadium that does sell alcohol. The hot dogs are awesome, sodas cold, bathrooms decent (if you're a guy) and the tickets are cheap. Hooray for the stadium and for TCU keeping it original, small and charming. read more

Great stadium with plenty of bathroom. Games can be really cheap or they can be hella expensive. Just depends on the team. The food options are pretty stereotypical ballpark food, there are some unique vendors but I think most of those are on the lower level. If you are in the 400 section on the west side there is a dutch's (local TCU/ft worth favorite) but I have not had the opportunity to stop by here. Both west and east sides of the stadium have their advantages. East is usually more expensive because it doesn't go as high as the west side but as said before it depends on the game. Prices are not unbearable but they aren't cheap either. $6 for a commemorative cup with beverage. Hot dogs and such are similarly priced. The club on the 2-300 level west side is gorgeous and I have attended plural events there. Highly recommend if you are a TCU fan and want to host an event. I have not had the opportunity to check out the south side second floor but it looks fancy. The DJ always plays great music during a game so even if you aren't a Frog Fan you will enjoy the games because of the environment. Go Frogs! read more

A Great Place To Watch College Football I recently attended the Texas vs. TCU football game, and the experience was great (except for the 3 hour rain delay). The newly renovated stadium was a wonderful venue for a game, and the home team fans were friendly. With the newest upgrades Texas Christian University has made, the Stadium now seats about 48,000 fans. While growing, this is still significantly less than other Big XII schools. However, the more intimate atmosphere makes the action feel even closer. Parking is not easy to find around the Stadium; however, free shuttles are offered from locations around Fort Worth. Great Stadium! Bathrooms are always clean and the employees are always so gracious and courteous. Though I must warn that ladies purses have to be small in order for them to be allowed to carry them in....well, depends on who is manning the entrance gate. I was turned away at one, but noticed at another the women were being instructed to get a transparent bag from one of the sales booths and simply pour out their belonging in it and they would then be allowed to enter. read more

It's been said that "perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." I'm not saying that the new Amon Carter Stadium is flawless (I'm reserving a star for my next trip back), but there's no question it's a really terrific place to catch a football game. It's difficult for a stadium to play both cozy and sizable at once, but I'd argue that this one does: seating last weekend clocked in at somewhere around 47,000, and it's a pretty nifty arrangement for tailgating too. The stadium itself sits elevated from the parking lot, and while I'd not spent much time here prior to the renovation, it looks from here like money well spent. Expect most Saturdays a sea of purple, vigorous cookouts, good cheer and hearty cheering by the home folks. Definitely what a Fort Worth sized college football experience is all about. So I hate football. Yup sorry but im not a fan I work at a place that im inundated with having to watch it and all the screaming blah blah blah. But Eric went to TCU and wanted to see a game. I had free tickets on Stubhub so we got tickets to see them play Kansas State. The Stadium itself is beautiful. Very large and well maintained. We each got a free Pepsi for some promotion and a program. We got our seats. Let me tell you something. Im old. Like old. Walking up to the seats which mind you were 4 from the top I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. I never realized I was that fucking out of shape. Holy fuck. But we got into our seats and settled in for a fun time. He explained everything that was going on and they have a lot of fun little games they play with the crowd throughout the game. I don't write many homeriffic reviews, but I can't help myself with this one. It's that time of year again, Horned Frog fans!!!. I can already smell the smoke from the pit at Gino's tailgate, hear the band playing the fight song, feel the rush from the opening kickoff, and see the hands raised as the west side of the stadium yells "GO!", then the east side follows with "FROGS!!!" The spirit, the pageantry, the people, the action, the fun, and the camaraderie are just a few things that make TCU football one of Fort Worth's emerging attractions. I can't wait to post a bunch of pictures of the new renovations to the stadium. The new light fixtures and seating are up-to-date, and the sound system is out of this world. It's great to put a new shine on the sacred turf that played host to Davey O'Brien, Sammy Baugh, Bob Lilly, LaDanian Tomlinson, Andy Dalton, and a whole host of other respectable men who were also great athletes. This season has an extra height of anticipation, with Big XII implications. Let's make this something to remember. read more

Amon Carter is as of now an okay stadium. It is pretty indicative of stadiums built in the era (1930's). The amenities are zilch. Not a beautiful place in terms of design. But they must have done something right since it has been in action for over 80 years. I have no serious complaints other than typically shite parking. I am looking forward to going back after the renovation for the Armed Forces Bowl. Here's to hoping they have improved and not ruined an old standard. read more

This football stadium is large enough to be home of a team in a Power 5 conference. Yet it is not gigantic to get lost in. The stadium is newly renovated, with free AT&T wifi throughout. The arches in the walkway are architecturally aesthetic. Workers in the concession stands are friendly. If you don't want the traditional stadium food (hotdog, burgers, pretzels, etc.), other food vendors (such as chick-fil-a, barbeque, taco stands, food truck, etc.) are available throughout the stadium. Some of those vendors are on the 2nd and 3rd levels. So if you don't find them, keep going up. Sound systems are good. You can hear bass and treble clearly from any where in the stadium. Compared to other Big 12 football tickets, TCU tickets are more affordable. So that's a plus. It's always a great game day experience when I visit this stadium. read more

Beautiful stadium. I wanted to write a review on the arena but it looks like the foot ball and basket ball stadium are together. Jeers for not letting us take signs for the high school graduation presentations. They said it was to prevent trash, that was a lie we threw it away anyway before or after made no difference. And the way they moved the guest felt like we were cattle. Not a fan of the event staff. Maybe I will have a different experience during an actual game. read more

A cozy stadium, every seat has a good view. I have been going to games since the early 70's when I was a little kid. Now I take my kid's. We have sat in the end zone, upper balcony (does get windy) on the 10 yard line. If you sit at the North end zone, be prepared for the fajita smoke to hover over you. It's a tease to get you to buy some. If you listen closely, you will hear the echoes of O'Brien, Baugh, Lilly, Renfro,Tomlinson and of course the old Southwest Conference. read more
