The Convention Center in Fort Worth is really nice. It is spacious, clean, and well organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are interested in everyone having a successful conference, exhibit, or show. My daughter attended a week long national conference for CW (Customer Service) a week or so ago. The seating was comfortable, and the acoustics were good. There was food available for everyone provided by the Center. Everyone enjoyed themselves and hoped to go again next year. The best part of the CC is that it is centrally located and close to restaurants, shopping, exhibits, and hotels. She was able to walk to and from the Sheraton each day. The water gardens are walking distance also. She said she had a great time. read more

I'm in Dallas Fort Worth for a Stream enconvention and Fort Worth Convention Center has become my second home for the las three days. I've had the pleasure of seeing Gloria Mayfield-Banks and Eric Worre as they both packed the Fort Worth Convention Center. Although the center is old and a little outdated it is pretty clean and easy to navigate. They had a few food kiosk open but the menu was kind of basic. The ballroom when properly decorated with the right lighting is pretty nice. read more

This is a big convention center. Parking can be a pain in the rear and us expensive. They charge around $18 for a few hours and is located across the street. The staff at the convention center is very nice and helpful. read more

This is a nice venue for conventions. I was here for a Mary Kay Career Conference and the auditorium was large. It was also freezing. It's a large area spread out over several floors but it was a good size. There was room for vendors, for the convention, for talking. read more

I have people that I grew up with who go to school districts Eagle Mountain-Saginaw and Birdville. I had to go here because their school districts assigned their graduation ceremony to be at this place, what kind of a disgrace. Lemme start with the place, the parking here is A MESS and the booths selling the parking tickets didn't even work that day. Too expensive. Walking in, the place is unclean, ugly tiled brown floors, some of the light fixtures are broken, nasty stains on the ceilings, and the seats are SO UNCOMFORTABLE that you would rather stand. Not only that, but the seats are DISGUSTING with sticky stains on them and trash everywhere. They had vacant unused venues with windows and had ridiculously little venues and stands that served not good food. So if you're looking for a feast to celebrate your relatives graduation, there's really not much in this fart worth so just drive over to more affluent nearby communities like Arlington or Hurst. The bathrooms here are FILTHY and outdated. The people who work here or the venues ATROCIOUSLY keep defending the city and this filthy place. If you're wanting to grab a soda or water from a vending machine and do not have cash and you want to use your debit card, you're out of luck because you have to go to the venues and wait in the long lines to simply get a drink. Also moldy air vents, its no wonder why this place smells horrid. I am glad that I did not graduate in Fort Worth, but the American Airlines Center in Dallas and Park Center in Arlington is better than Fort Worth Arena. Not sorry and stay pressed Fort Worthians, this place is a disgrace, glad Madonna never had a tour at this fart. Also no guest wifi. read more

I went to the Ft Worth Convention Center (FWCC) for the first time this weekend. The location is pretty good, walking distance from the Dart rail. If there were a convention in Ft Worth that Dallas folks wanted to attend, it's very easy to just Dart over for $2. It's also next to the re-opened Ft Worth Water Gardens which are beautiful. There is a lot of meter parking in the downtown Ft Worth area and it is free on the weekends. I went there for a bridal show and all the meter parking was taken so I had to park in the parking garage....$7 to park! Other than meters, there is open lot parking and the garage, and both charge you money, even though it was a Sunday. I was there about an hour so $7 is a little high to me. Other than the parking issue, FWCC is a really nice facility. It's large and there appeared to be lot of restrooms and no lines! read more

Went to this venue for daughters graduation. Got there an hour early to hold one seat for my daughter. Was forced to give it up to others running late...even when there were still several seats available. Usher then tried to make us leave only 10 minutes after it ended, while there was still a crowd. I told him my 75 yr old mother can't stand long periods of time, we were just waiting for crowd to die down. He said we had to leave anyway. All I can say is trashy, filthy, gum on seats and floor, rude employees who seem to find pushing elderly women out into crowds only 10 min after ending acceptable. First and last time I will go to that venue! Horrible! Ruined a memorable day. Do NOT rent if you want a nice event!!! read more

Been here for various events and concerts and I think it's pretty good venue. Saw Muse here, which was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! Great sound, open space and a fair amount of seats. Don't like the narrow hallways in some areas and parking/traffic is a nightmare, though. read more

I'm sick of going to these huge arenas with my handicapped (yes I say handicapped) daughter and not being able to use any of the ADA modifications. First of all, parking is a nightmare. We get there, and can't go in because ALL of the doors are locked. So we have to stroll around to the one and only one unlocked door for a huge arena. Guess what? Their blue button that automatically opens the door doesn't work, or they have it turned off so that everyone has to come through the one door so that they can monitor tickets? Capacity? I'm not sure. Thank goodness Charlee isn't pushing her own wheelchair around on her own here by herself. She would be stuck because you can't wheel yourself through and hold the door open at the same time. It requires all four of my working large appendages to get through the door with her wheelchair if the button doesn't work. (Wait a minute? Is the handicapped situation so bad that I just thanked goodness that my child can't freely decide when and where she wants her body to go?) So we are in!!! Now let's find the elevator..oh there it is...waaaaay in the back. If we can just can make it through this herd of people yes! Something works! Off the elevator. Ok now where are we? Still in the convention center? I'm not sure. Ooo maybe this long dark hallway leads back to the arena. Walk aaalll the way back... here is the stage...umm what's this? The handicapped and handicapped attendant section is already full? But there is only 1 wheel chair here... oooooh. I see. You're just taking pictures? You're just sitting here cause it's easier than going down stairs? Or up the stairs? Your knee hurts? You just can't get that baby stroller down the stairs? (BTW, please don't EVER compare the struggle of your baby stroller for a few months or even years to living LIFE in a wheelchair!) Meanwhile the event staff is very busy locking the exits as we try to leave the building because we dare to exit through an open and unmarked door through the designated "staff area." By designated I mean the lady said "this is the staff area" when we were walking through. I could have respected that if you had been half as diligent at protecting the handicapped viewing area as you were your lounging area. As far a cheer competition goes, if all your legs work, it serves it's purpose. But it's too big of an arena for that size completion. read more

I went the convention center for a conference and had a great time. The room where all the large presentations were had adequate air conditioning the food served was good considering it was a convention center. The staff was helpful. Plus, the location is not bad. It's at the edge of downtown and I don't mind walking so a win. Plus, it's not far from the water gardens which is always beautiful. read more

Most uncomfortable seating EVER! Unbearably hot due to lack of sufficient air conditioning. I attended the Gaither's Texas Homecoming Concerts here Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Both concerts were 4 - 4 1/2 hours long. Friday night we didn't have the air conditioning issues that were present on Saturday. Everyone was fanning themselves, the performers were standing in front of the fans on stage when they weren't the ones singing. Luckily I keep a spray bottle of water in my purse to spritz on my face or my mother and I might have passed out. We were both so dizzy from the heat it made it impossible to enjoy the concert. Not to mention the "smokey haze" they were pumping into the arena in an attempt to create atmosphere only added to the miserable situation where I had to keep my eyes closed most of the 4 1/2 hours we were there Saturday. Unacceptable! read more

Talk about a large convention center! Make sure to bring comfy walking shoes to get you from one side of the center to the next. It was great space for our conference, but at times seemed too big. I guess it's better to have more than less in this instance. It was definitely dated, but not uncomfortable. There were plenty of lounge chairs, open areas, and it was well lit. There were even nice places to catch some sun and soak in a little warmth outdoors. As in most cases during conferences, it's difficult to find the right balance of comfort. Definitely wear layers since there were times when it was freezing during sessions and others seemed stuffy. The larger/main room was warm, while the smaller break-out rooms were chilly (the exhibit hall was really cold too). The bathrooms were the highlight! They were placed everywhere and there were lots of stalls in each one. However, some of the stalls didn't close correctly, but it wasn't a problem to find another one that worked since there were many to choose from without ever having to wait on others. read more

I haven't been to many convention centers but this one was huge and so clean! We had our Scentsy Convention here and it held at least 10,000 people! The rooms were huge like half the size of a football stadium maybe bigger and the auditorium was the biggest I have ever seen. The staff was helpful and even though there were so many people coming in and out they did an excellent job on making sure the place was still kept nice and clean. There was only one thing I didn't like and that was the temperature inside the facility. It was super hot outside so the sir conditioning was definitely a nice change but after being inside for 5 minutes it became extremely cold and people were wearing sweaters to help keep warm while we were in our sessions. Maybe turn the A/C to 75 instead of 65 degrees to make it a little more comfortable. All in all I had a wonderful experience in this facility and hope to back! read more

Absolutely the worst venue for a concert as far as staff and organization. It took 3.5 hours to get 1800 people with GA tickets through the doors and security for the BTS concert on Saturday night. Terrible, especially considering it was storming during that time. Lots of kids were absolutely drenched by the time they were allowed inside. Also, there appeared to be no one emptying all the trash containers surrounding the venue through the day - Seemed like a security hazard. In addition, as soon as the concert started, the food stands inside closed. With so many venues in the Metroplex available, I'm curious as to why anyone would choose this place for their event! We go to about 20 concerts per year, and I can confidently say this was the worst experience as far as organization and respect for customers. read more

This is a pretty good venue to see a concert but I can't speak to other types of events. I've attended an annual concert at this convention center for the past three years and have always had a positive experience. The arena is big but even the seats at the top have a decent view of the stage. The seats are comfy and I like the seating layout. However, I would not purchase floor seats because they're not elevated so if you're on the shorter side (like me!), you could easily find your view blocked. It can also get pretty cold in the arena so bring a jacket! Yes the facility is older than other venues like the AAC, but you can't expect everything to be brand spanking new. My only complaint is the elevators in the parking garage. They are very slow and after a big event, you will find a long wait for the elevator if you park on the top floor of the garage. So take the stairs if it's an option for you or find somewhere a little further away to park. Parking is $10 which is pretty standard for downtown areas and large events. read more

Most events here, like this weekends car show appear to be after thoughts or trial runs for better shows in Dallas and other cities. The addition did nothing to improve the old dump, where large venues are still held. And don't get me started on the restrooms... What a miserable thing to be proud of in this otherwise charming downtown area. read more

Went here to see a friends daughter gymnastics competition. It very large convention center. Easy to walk to and bonus there is a water features next to it. You can park on the street for free after 6 and on the weekends. Also, make sure you take a picture of the huge star with cowbow hats. You have to look up to find it! It was so cool! read more

The Fort Worth Convention center was only A-OK. The venue was clean and functional, but the decor is a bit outdated. It also on the smaller side. Restrooms small and cramped- the MEN had to line up on breaks in the main exhibit hall. The hall was kept quite chilly on a hot May day, and I had to leave to go outside to heat up- bring a sweater or good jacket. And, for goodness sake, Fort Worth! Put someone who actually likes helping out of towners in the the Fort Worth Guest info booth! The woman I "visited" with was a venomous crotchety old grump who clearly hated people and was not in the least bit helpful. Me: "Where is the Kimbell art museum?" Grumpy: "4.2 miles from here." We had to come here to attend a graduation. Pros: None to speak of. Cons: The bathrooms were nasty. The seats were tiny- I am a size 16 and it was tight. There were unidentifiable stains all over the seats. There were hardly any concessions open, and what was open was ridiculously expensive. The parking structure here is subpar & the elevators are in terrible condition with the doors not even closing properly. The manager on duty there today was terrible & unwilling to help when I was not given the paper I needed to get out. She refused to listen that parking was comp. She suggested the only way to resolve it was for me to back up all the way back up the ramp & then walk back to the hotel to get the proper paper. This place is NOT baby/family friendly! I attended a graduation ceremony there with my 5 month old baby. The baby got fussy so I went to stand in an area that wasn't as crowded in an effort to not disturb others. I was told there was no standing allowed! I either had to go back to my seat or go downstairs where I was unable to watch the graduation. There was nowhere to put the baby while I used the restroom, the stairs were extremely steep and difficult to climb up or down while carrying a baby and the seating was so close together there was absolutely no arm room at all. The facility needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt and their staff need serious attitude adjustments. A little compassion for a mom fighting with a cranky baby goes a long way! read more

I really do like the openess of the space they provide. There are multiple floors and tons of office spaces you can use if needed. They do have restrooms on all the floors so ladies if there's a line, hit the escalators. It seems like restrooms are hidden all over this facility. It's a nice locations as well. Tons of eateries within walking distance and lots of bars and lounges in the evening. I've been here twice for weekend long conventions and the amenities were great. Also the sound and visual departments were ggggreat! Parking is a downfall. Would really like to see either cheaper options or more street parking cause it gets full fast. read more

The facility is great, the ushers in their yellow jackets are the worst!! As a senior citizen also I really was shocked and appalled at a senior man and woman usher at lower section 203 do nothing but be rude.. the woman even stood by with her supervisor watch as a young woman was screaming and inciting a fight over seats!! Of course the people starting the fight didn't arrive to the graduation ceremony till 15 minutes before the start! The useless usher and supervisor stood behind us laughing and saying well you are only supposed to save one seat! They were laughing while the filthy mouthed woman was screaming vulgarity and threats!! Now this convention center is huge. So many many people like ourselves have family flying in, driving not from other states so they save seats. Nothing posted that you can't!! Was an exhibitor at a conference being held at the Fort Worth Convention Center. A convention center employee approached my booth and said that if I wanted to keep the laptop plugged in, I would have to pay $82.50 per day for electricity. WOW! So I guess when a conference is book there, it does not include electricity!!!! read more

I really wish our school system, Weatherford ISD would stop having their graduations at this awful place. Overpriced, inconvenient and overcrowded parking garage starts us off, then they won't let us in for an additional half hour after the graduates had to be there so it was either take two cars wait around. Only one small concrete bench in the outdoor waiting area and it was of course occupied making the wait time extremely hard on my 77 year old mother. When the (very rude, unhelpful) ushers finally let us in they don't even try to help with crowd control or seating only to say can't sit there can't sit there. We finally found a place that worked for our group, and my daughter looked to her left only to see a dirty diaper in the seat next to her. I took it and found a (overly full) trashcan. The nearest restroom had a line as it was only three stalls and no changing table, which maybe explains but does not excuse the person who left the diaper on the seat. I guess why bother paying people to actually clean the place between events, after all it would cut into profits from parking gouging. When the ceremony was over the ushers were practically pushing people out the door and actually sticking their heads into the restrooms to rush the people out. They locked us out, again with no place to sit. Apparently no one told the convention center staff that elderly people exist. They made all of the graduates go out one door with no walkway or standing space so that over six hundred kids were pushed directly into the busy street with honking horns and screeching brakes. Overall a miserable experience. Double thumbs down to the Weatherford school board or whoever in the district decides to make these events that should be a joyful time overcrowded, miserable, and far from home. All they would have to do would be to divide it up and hold two ceremonies for it to be doable in a local facility or on school grounds. read more

A horrible experience every time. I despise this place. I only go for graduations and I'm finally done. (Everyone has graduated!) The parking is a joke. $10 everywhere---if you can find a spot. The alternative is to park and hike. It's easy to drive for 15 minutes in an attempt to park. Ten dollars to park for a two-hr graduation. The parking nightmare is the biggest turn off. But, there's nothing redeeming about the inside, either. Dirty. Disorganized. Poorly air conditioned. I graduated there 15 years ago. It was nasty then and it's still nasty. read more
