Nevertheless, the stage lighting and setup is beautiful, and the area surrounding the square is astounding, especially the AT&T PAC! There was a temperature check and metal detector at the door, with staff members checking the contents of bags/purchase. We brought a blanket in a backpack (with literally nothing else inside), and the staff almost didn't let us bring it in because it was "too big" of a bag... So that was a bit of a surprise, but they eventually agreed to let us bring it in. Anyways, just making a mental note to myself to be more prepared for cold weather in the evenings! We walked to the square, but I'd assume parking can be pretty tough to find in this area!

Granted, when we went we hit the weather lottery and it was a PERFECT night. Seating is on blankets or bring-your-own low-legged folding chairs on a lush lawn. In fact I was wondering how the hell they got this grass so soft and green. It was good for srunching your toes in it. The pavilion is between the Winspear and Woodall Rogers Freeway. Clean restroom facilities are behind the seating area, although the women's room capacity probably could have been increased somewhat based on the lines I saw at the sold out Old 97's show. Bars along the right hand side of the seating area are raised up and afford a nice view and had outdoor lounge furniture for comfortable seating. In fact you can go up to the bar area and watch the performers from the side of the stage...always a good thing. They were selling food as well and the wafting smell of grilled meats was enticing. Best part was the people watching. I suggest getting a lawn position near one of the stairways leading to the lawn so you can ogle and bust on all the people you see. We were laughing about the perv-stache on this one guy who was vaping while hanging out on the stairway to the point where he looked at us and then walked up the stairs and away. "Damn it" I thought-"maybe we drove him away by staring at him". As it turned out, 20 minutes later he was playing bass on stage with "Black Joe Lewis" he probably just assimed we were admiring fans! There's also a mechanical bull and alcoholic drinks available...fun in theory, but as a tired pregnant mom just trying to sit down and eat, that part was more for everyone else Indoor areas are pretty cramped but manageable. Most food vendors are located behind Lofty Spaces and are only accessible by stairs, so it's not stroller-friendly (or pregnancy-friendly when you're already exhausted). Seating is mainly out front with limited shaded tables, so finding a spot to sit and eat without overheating felt like a mission. Food is on the pricier side: the stuffed turkey leg (with yams, mac & cheese, and collard greens) was about $36, but honestly the best thing we ate and worth it in that moment. The oxtails from one vendor weren't fall-off-the-bone, but they were well seasoned. Restrooms ran out of soap and didn't seem to be maintained, so definitely bring your own or hand sanitizer (which, as a mom, I luckily had on me). Parking is mostly on grass but wasn't too bad to navigate with a stroller. Getting to the actual food is the harder part. Overall, this could be fun for older kids, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a child who needs a stroller...or if you're pregnant and just want an easy, comfortable place to sit and eat. Free early-bird tickets are available on Eventbrite; otherwise, admission is $5-$10 at the door.

The right most line was for t-mobile only (no signs beyond the first 5 feet of the entrance) and a lot of people didn't know that and were trying to move lines halfway through. The upper levels of the stadium weren't accessible without a ticket to those areas. There is a good variety of food at the ground level. Seats are very tightly packed together - you will be shoulder to shoulder with the person seated next to you.

So this is the new field for the Rangers replacing Globe Life park. While I think it's silly and a waste of $$$ to get a new ballpark considering Globe Life Park is less than 25 years old, I give this new ballpark some props for the fact that it has a retractable roof to make ball games more bearable during those hot Texas summers. Plus they've built around this area which include the Texas Live! venue nearby for entertainment and lodging purposes. As for the views of the ballpark, each time I've been here was in section 303 cause tickets are cheap at around $20 per head. You get a nice overview of the diamond and the outfield and the seats are very accessible via the elevator. As for concessions, I saw on Instagram that they have some special concoctions but it's on the first floor somewhere. Plus I have no desire to pay $7-8 for a hot dog or $14 for a beer; both of which are highway robbery. Some tickets do include credits you can use toward food depending on where you're sitting and how much you pay. But for now, the $20/ticket is fine with me as far as all I need to pay. I'll be sure to catch more games here whenever I find myself in the DFW area.
