Not sharing leads. Brian did not show as we had arranged. He Called 11/2 hours later stating that he had been calling the wrong phone number earlier. Asked for a second chance. Same time next day. I obliged (thinking anyone can make a mistake). For a second time I made arrangements, and my daughter did also with her job. I called him back after making the arrangements as promised. I asked that he call or text to verify that we were on the same page for the next day. Brian screwed up two days in a row. He has not called back to this day!!! I had business before him for 4 tv mounts and cable installations. This company does not want business evidently. He stated The owner of Empire is his brother. He had passed on my inform to them????

We recently needed troubleshooting for our home theater system and my husband made numerous attempts to reach someone at Empire for assistance. Calls were not returned and when he did manage to speak with someone about a service appointment, all he could get was "maybe we can stop by on Friday". Not exactly what we expected given the money we initially spent. Needless to say, no one showed up on Friday. We ended up finding another company that not only returned our calls, they sent a tech out a few days later who quickly resolved our issue. Then he went through our system and pointed out some optimizations that, honestly, should have been made during the installation. When you invest in Control4, any updates/changes have to be made through a dealer, so it's extra annoying when the dealer you purchased through no longer wants your business. We look forward to working with our NEW dealer to install additional home automation and home theater components.

Nice work, professional, great customer service. Then... not so much. I called them a couple of years later, following post-storm home renovations (thanks, Gulf Coast weather), to get Wi-Fi working again and re-run Ethernet cables. Over the next couple of weeks, when I'd call to follow up, Kimberley would tell me that "the GM is working on the proposal," but never got return calls. Ghosted. Finally hired an independent IT guy to make the fixes, as well as for some followup reconfigurations on the Wi-Fi gear.

J was conscientious, knowledgeable and very responsive. Just super professional all the way around. We moved into a home that had in-ceiling speakers already, purchased two new TV's, a full system of Sonos amps and a port, a subwoofer, AV receiver, power conditioner, etc. from Best Buy, and so our disaster began. One thing after another didn't work. Essentially, they didn't really understand how to wire a complex, pre-existing setup, and it was a frustrating mess. Best Buy made 5 or 6 visits to the house. On their first, they delivered a damaged $8K TV. The replacement TV they installed later went out for handling damage, as verified by Samsung, and they just washed their hands of us. They just hung us with a non-functioning TV outside of their replacement period, and Samsung noted that it was handling damage. We are STILL fighting with the credit card company on that one. That's where TV Installation Houston stepped in and saved the day. I wish we had known about them from the beginning! We nearly didn't find them--again, due to the generic name--but I'm so glad that we did. From our first interaction, J inspired confidence that our issues would be sorted out. He said that they primarily rely on Google reviews as he's not as familiar with Yelp, but they need to be on here! I couldn't find them here, or we would've used them from the get-go. They're hard to find on Google even, due to their name. We sold us a new TV at competitive prices, handled the install and got our system working again. They made sure all of our questions were answered and that everything was functioning as it should be. There were a few buried settings that we needed him to come out and change later, and he was very responsive and addressed our concerns. We have 100% confidence that if we ever run into an issue in the future that we won't be left hanging like we were with Best Buy. Totally recommend TV Installation Houston and J!
