If you are looking for a top-tier network and cabling company, I cannot recommend Structured Cabling Pros highly enough. I hired them for a residential project, and Dan Penny and his team were true professionals from start to finish. While my project was residential, I know they also handle commercial work, and based on my experience, I would confidently recommend them for both residential and commercial projects. From the initial walkthrough to final installation, their level of knowledge and expertise was immediately apparent. They took the time to understand exactly what I wanted with my network and security camera setup and then made thoughtful recommendations to improve performance while also keeping costs in check. What really stood out was their efficiency and attention to detail. They found smart, clean ways to run cabling that minimized disruption while maximizing long-term reliability. Everything was done neatly and with a level of precision you typically only see in high-end custom work. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent--clear, timely, and proactive. They showed up when they said they would, stayed on schedule, and delivered exactly what they promised. It is rare to find a company that combines technical expertise, honesty, and craftsmanship at this level. Dan and his team exceeded expectations in every way. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, clean, and reliable installation. read more

I cannot emphasize enough how incredible Daniel and his team are. We are renovating our home and wanted to install security cameras, updated Cat6, indoor and outdoor speakers, a smart home system and seamless wireless with access points throughout the house. I found Daniel's excellent reviews on work he did in West U and River Oaks from when he was with Automation Destination and I was sold. Truly the reviews on Yelp did not disappoint. Daniel is an awesome communicator and he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He loves what he does and it shows. He doesn't just recommend the most expensive products out there. He recommended quality hardware for us in our budget. Moreover he is prompt and responsive. What I appreciate the most however is his attention to detail and commitment to his work. He is one of a kind. Before and after pictures attached. read more

Terrific, professional residential service! Daniel works with both commercial and residential clients. I needed help connecting and fixing a Smart TV with a Zvox soundbar, and making sure an old, but good, receiver worked with our turntable (for vinyl), etc. Daniel did all this work, plus got me down to 1 remote, and addressed a bunch of questions I had with good cheer and patience. He is sending me a list of suggested tube amps to help our turntable sound. Just a great resource for a homeowner. Neat, clean, professional. Trustworthy! read more

Daniel did a great job of detangling some preexisting Cat 5. I feel like I'm pretty tech savvy and when I tried to undo the mess previous home owner left, I was stumped. We had some A , some B cat 5, some dish network, some XFinity, and just to add complexity - some FIOS and Vivant! It was a mess and Daniel didn't flinch. Thanks so much for getting this nice and neat. We will be calling him soon to re-wire our TV surround sound set up. read more

I came to Daniel with an idea of what I wanted, but open to changes in plans. Upon his suggestion, we planned out in-ceiling Polk 90-RT speakers to compliment my existing RTi series tower and center speakers. This was versus a ceiling bracket to hold a traditional bookshelf speaker. The results are fantastic. The UHD Blu-ray of Planet Earth II is extra-amazing, being able to feel the sound around you. Daniel also mounted two outdoor speakers that are awesome. We went with his suggestion of Definitive Technology AW6500 speakers and I couldn't be happier. My neighbors... maybe not as thrilled... read more

After having my home flooded and needing to get the sheetrock cut open, there was an opportunity to wire my house for ethernet and audio/video. Daniel Penny with Automation Destination responded quickly, showed up early to our appointment, and gave me great ideas at an affordable price. He wired cat 6 cabling throughout the house and also gave me options for my entertainment center that wouldn't break the bank. He really cares about the quality and look of his work. You can't beat Automation Destination. I would refer everyone I know to Daniel going forward. read more

Structured Cabling Pros - New A/V box installed by Automation Destination. - Home Network Installation Near Me - Houston, Texas

I do no write a lot of reviews but I have to write one for Daniel and Automation Destination. So, I had an internet service company install service at my home. They came out and installed one port and WiFi. Unfortunately, this was not sufficient for my house. We were receiving very poor service at the other end of the house. I was feeling ambitious and tried to hook up the other Cat5 cables that were run to the other portions of the house. I spent about 3 hours in the attic and after losing about 10lbs of sweat, I decided that I should leave this up to the professionals. Granted, I did go down a pant size after the attic ordeal, so at least there is that! I contacted Daniel through Yelp and he responded immediately. We discussed some basic trouble shooting, he gave some recommendations and came by that night! He looked at the current setup, identified what he thought should be done, and provided a quote on the spot. The price was very reasonable. He was going to have to undo the mess I made, run some extra Cat5 and add an wireless access point. He moved the switch to a closet so it wouldn't overheat in the summer. Just an FYI... The work was meticulous! My wife has "minor" OCD and she was ecstatic. The wires were well organized and beautiful. We also added a wired access point, which is so much better than it was before. He did all of this is about 3 hours and cleaned up after himself. No sign that he was here except for great internet throughout the house and a lasting impression of great customer service. I will have Daniel back to mount my TV's and as we are looking for some security cameras, I will have him do that also. He has gained a loyal customer. Thank you Daniel! Dominic in Conroe read more

Outstanding Service!!!!!! which is a hard thing to find these days. Daniel was professional from start to finish, went above and beyond in my install, had Sonos amp with Bose speakers installed around pool and an outdoor TV installed. He also fixed my entertainment console inside, had a ga-jillion wires everywhere, now it's looks like less of a fire hazard,LOL..... His work was on point! I Highly recommend!!!!! read more

My local cable provider initially did a terrible installation job (they ran the cable through the outside wall, into the bedroom, over the door jam rather than droppig it through the attic). When I called them out to fix it, the technician basically made a bunch of excuses why he could not do it, and told me I would need to have a third-party contractor fix the problem. I found "Automation Destination" on a random internet search and it ended up being a Godsend! I called on a Saturday, expecting to leave a message on a voicemail, but to my surprise Daniel answered my call. I told him about my predicament, and he ended up giving me a quote over the phone. I text him my information and three days later he was there doing the installation. Daniel showed up right on time and went straight to work. He was quick and efficient from the get-go, and very personable. I was blown away by his attention to detail and meticulousness. He dropped the cable through attic, and got rid of all the excess wiring that was hanging everywhere, neatly bundling up what remained. He even moved the cable equipment to a less conspicuous place on the wall that the provider failed to do. Even with all the extra work, his final invoice was the same as the original quote. Daniel takes a lot of pride in his work and it clearly shows. I would use his services again in a heartbeat if need be, and would definitely recommend him to others. read more

Daniel installed 9 high resolution cameras for me and I couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the system. He also just finished fixing a automation system someone else put in (never worked correctly). An honest guy, quality, great technology and he stands behind his work. Highly recommended. read more

I can not say enough good things about Daniel Penney at Automation Destination. I recently upgraded my home internet system because my service was so slow. Daniel installed Ethernet ports in every room and tied all the cables into a patch panel so the whole house is connected. The work he did was just outstanding and the rate he charged was absolutely fair. If you are thinking about having this kind of work done, you can not go wrong with Daniel. read more

Daniel was prompt to come by and provide me an itemized quote for my wired home network installation. He completed installation the following weekend. My home was pre-wired with CAT5E but consisted of cut-off cables in the attic and telephone jacks throughout the house. Daniel installed new Ethernet wall plates, added RJ45 ethernet adaptors to the cut CAT5E cabling, and ran all the ethernet cabling down into my master closet to a hinged patch panel along with a new electric outlet [from there, I simply bought a network switch, plugged in power and ethernet cables]. Daniel's work was very clean-looking and clearly labelled. He left no mess behind and we verified my wired internet was running at full speed before he departed. Daniel worked hard and fast, and I thought his price was fair. I can strongly recommend Daniel for all your home network needs. read more

Daniel is essentially a magician. He wired my three story Victorian home with fiber and CAT6 cables to 10 devices including 4 cameras, 3 TVs, and 3 WiFi access points, including my back alley which is 35 feet behind my house, all perfectly and out of sight (no exposed cables or unsightly holes anywhere). He even made sure to seal up all holes with spray foam insulation. I still don't understand how he did it. It may have something to do with his crazy instrumentation which includes a little snake camera that he uses to get wires to go into places you've never even seen in your house (like the small attic inside my porch roof--pretty cool). His work is clean, tight, professional, and meticulous. It took him 4 days of work to wire my home. This is the first time I felt undercharged in my life. He's phenomenal. Notice that for his two negative reviews he didn't actually have a chance to do any work for the reviewers -- he's so good that everyone wants him, so he is stretched thin. This guy is freaking amazing. read more

We really enjoyed working with Dan, he was really quick to communicate with us and stayed in touch about his schedule on the day he came, he had clever ideas about how to wire our house and he performed the work very effectively. He cared about the way things looked and he made sure we were happy with his work the whole time. He was extremely knowledgeable about his products as well. He was also just a really pleasant person who was easy to work with. read more

I have used Daniel and his crew at Automation Destination three times now, to fix a variety of issues that were giant mistakes of other subpar contractors. They were punctual, professional and experts at their craft. Automation Destination's staff has incredible knowledge of high end audio/video, networking and IP surveillance camera systems and equipment and will steer you in the right direction. They don't push the most expensive products they sell you the RIGHT products the FIRST time. read more

Daniel is legit. He upgraded security cameras (11) throughout our house, added new in-ceiling speakers, wired our TV to stream throughout the house and networked our desktop, laptop and network-accessed storage drive. He also converted all the non-functional wired ethernet plugs to active ports. It took him about three days to get all the work done and his pricing was fair and honest. No surcharges when he didn't get it done in the estimated time and he held to his estimated pricing. As others have stated, at the end, it all was nice and clean-looking. As a bonus, he was also available to troubleshoot after the job was done. Really top-notch service. Only small/minor issue (as no one's perfect), he didn't fully clean up between visits, so we had some cabling ends and drywall dust on our floors. We have a baby that likes to eat stuff like that, so we did the clean up after he left. That said, I'd hire him again in a heartbeat if needed and made three referrals for him. Great service, nice guy and excellent skills. read more

Since I had a good experience with Daniel previously, I contacted him regarding the purchase and installation of Z-wave switches and outlets. He gave me a quote - and although I should have known better - paid him for the work and equipment upfront. The install obviously wasn't quite the simple job he expected it to be - he was unable to get certain of the switches & outlets to work as they were supposed to. He came back a second time to see if he could finish the job but still couldn't get it to work. Also, in the course of the install, he actually caused certain lights that had been functioning previously, to stop working. Now that he has been paid, he won't return calls or texts, and I'm going to have to hire an electrician to fix some of his work. Not a happy camper at this point. read more

Amazing service, communication, and knowledge from Daniel! He helped us get our office finished up with all of the A/V equipment and it could not have gone more seamlessly. Daniel ran ethernet cables in my house and installed security cameras for me. He was prompt, courteous, responsive, knowledgeable, and provided outstanding quality. Daniel and his partner from Automation Destination took care of me from start to finish. They arrived on time and were polite. It has been six months since they did the install and I must say everything works just like it did from day one so I am impressed. I like to use Automation Destination because they hold their selves accountable for what they say to me. They gave me a warranty which I'm sure they would stand behind if I needed to use it but I haven't needed it so far. They have earned my trust and they have fair pricing. I couldn't ask for more. read more

Bad business I call to get wiring for my home business and he came out for estimating but never got back with me. I forgot about it and several months later I call for my parents business and he answered and said he send him the info and he would give me an estimate and come the next day to install. Never returned my calls poor business ethics. He says he never received information but this is his M.O it's not the first time. read more

Daniel was exceptionally nice and easy to work with! The ethernet wiring in our home is complete chaos, and after switching to AT&T Fiber recently, we wanted to enjoy the fast internet everywhere in our home, not just on the third floor where the modem is located. I messaged Daniel through Yelp about extending our wifi signal, and he responded within the hour. He came over a few days later to look at the house and give us an estimate for installing the Eero mesh wifi system for all 3 floors. He was very friendly and casual, and he loves dogs! :) Once we were ready for install, he came over and set everything up. When I wasn't happy with the speeds I was getting in one room, he tried moving the 2nd floor Eero box to different locations, and then called Eero customer support and helped me get all of my questions answered (and got the speed up to what I wanted). He spent a lot of extra time after completing the install to help me with the signal in just that one room and to make sure I understood how to use the system so I could troubleshoot by myself in the future. And, he was so pleasant the entire time he was here. I don't have a single negative thing to say about Daniel! I would enthusiastically recommend him to everyone! Bonus points: it was so easy to communicate with him throughout the process (mostly via yelp messages, which I had never used before), and to pay for service via the online invoice he sent after installation. No hidden fees, nothing unexpected, no upcharge for the equipment, complete transparency and streamlined process. Just a super nice guy who knows what he's doing! Thanks again Daniel! read more

Daniel was the best! He did an excellent job. What impressed me the most even though my tv was installed impeccably. Was that he did not leave a mess behind.
