Excellent job. Arrived on time and let me know what was needed to solve my problem. Left to get necessary supplies, returned to start job and completed it to my satisfaction. Would certainly recommend this company and will use them in the future. Thanks, Karen read more

I have used Nextdoor Electric once for actual work and also obtained three quotes from them. My usual electrical company, Blue Electrical Contractors, was super busy so I decided to try Nextdoor based on their Yelp reviews. I had them take down an old outdoor ceiling fan from my back porch and install two new ceiling lights: one in the same spot as the ceiling fan and the other over the seating area to provide more light (see photo). The job cost $572 which I thought was a little bit high, but I wanted the work done. Two big issues with the job: First of all, the technician didn't install the round ceiling light insulation discs in each fixture (see photo) which is to my understanding required to meet Underwriters Laboratory requirements. (The insulation is used to reflect heat from incandescent bulbs.) He also cracked one of the plastic conduit hangers so that it was actually broke. I found the insulation thrown in the garbage and had to dig them back out and have the technician come back to put them in and replace the broken hanger. Also, wasn't really keen on the fact that he used plastic hangers vs. metal to hang the conduit. Another issue was that I wanted a multi-outlet switch in my garage changed out to a standard outlet; see photo. Nextdoor quoted me $187 to change it out. Caido, from Blue Electrical Contractors stopped by and I had him look at it. It was only a cover; Caido unscrewed one screw and the regular outlet was underneath. I could have done it had I known this. It took Caid 5 seconds to take the multi-outlet cover off and he didn't charge me a thing. Okay. This is ridiculous! $187??!! This shows me the technician from Nextdoor Electric didn't even know what he was quoting. I was speaking to Caido from Blue Electric about Nextdoor and how I will never use them again, but can't understand their great reviews. Caido was telling me that Nextdoor's reviews could be fake and/or purchased. I really am questioning these reviews. I will never have them do any work for me again. Go with Blue Electric the next time you need electrical work; I have used them for years. read more

We initially reached out to get a quote to install a 240V receptacle that supported an electric car charging plug. Salat and Muk were so knowledgeable and friendly that we decided to immediately hire them for the job. They setup everything quickly and as neatly as possible. We really appreciated the time Salat took to answer some of our other questions for future projects and would seriously consider calling Nextdoor Electric again. read more

Couldn't recommend these guys more! They've been out to our home 5 times or so in the past several months and each visit has been very pleasant. Both Fuad and Salat are super friendly and down to earth guys. There's always a little bit of discomfort when repair technicians come to your home but I'll be honest, I always feel very comfortable when they're here. On top of that, they're fair and honest and strive to make sure they do quality work. Pricing seems reasonable for what it is (electrical work ain't cheap). They don't charge for the diagnosis and come out for free which definitely helps! I also appreciate how courteous they are. They always wear shoe covers and are respectful of our space. Thanks again for all your help around the house. I hope we don't have to call again but if we do, you're always welcome! read more

I'll start out with that the technician, Muk, was fine and professional. However the pricing was ridiculous and I don't really understand the company's diagnosis process. We were unfortunately in a bind and had to get our dryer fixed right away and there was a breaker tripped. The diagnosis was basically might be a breaker or a dryer issue so it's 410 (later negotiated to 380) to fix without any other assessment. Lo and behold - all it was a breaker. Took him 30 minutes to replace two breaker switches. Really feeling gouged and next time if I'm not in a bind will get more bids. read more

I was looking for an electrician to install my EV charger, generator inlet with interlock kit, and a whole home surge protector. Like everyone here, I wanted a licensed and reliable electrician so I did quite a bit of research. Sal was the first to respond to my project request, he offered to come at my convenience to give me a free estimate on my project. He knew exactly what I was looking for and he explained and answered concerns I had. He was very transparent and pricing was straight forward. The day of the job he showed up on time and the work was completed within the estimated time window. I'm very happy with the job and I believe we have found a new go-to electrician for our home. read more

Good and reasonably priced service. Came Out and diagnose the problem for free and replaced it read more

Awesome service. Repaired my antique baritone ukulele. Work done in a timely manner. Reasonably priced. Support local business!

A long-overdue review: We have used Nextdoor on a number of occasions, on jobs both big and small. They have delivered and then some. I get the impression that this company is run like a well-oiled machine. Shoutout to Fuad and Mukhtar, our favorite trusty electricians. Unfailingly nice, friendly, responsive, communicative, and good at what they do, they have let us effectively fire our old electrician, who incidentally was very good but wildly inconsistent. read more

Nextdoor Electric will always be the first call to handle my electrical needs. From the first contact to job completion, it was obvious that I was dealing with professionals who were going to provide a great customer experience. Muk was able to give me an estimate quickly and then complete both projects effeciently. I highly recommend Nextdoor Electric. read more

Are you like me? Do you pore over reviews and ratings before deciding on whom to consider for your next job? If so, you may be asking, "Is Next Door Electric, really that good?" The answer is an unqualified YES! Sal, Muk, and his team replaced a worn-out breaker box with corroded connections, as well as the shorted-out line from a transformer to that breaker box. While the lights upstairs in my house had been blinking furiously before the fix, now they are perfectly fine. Sal and Muk are so good, so conscientious, so caring, so competent; if they went any further above and beyond, they would be in orbit. Even better, from my own experience, I found their prices extremely competitive. Check the other guys if you want, but don't agree to anything before you talk with Sal at Next Door Electric. Take it from me, you won't be disappointed. read more

Working with Nextdoor Electric has been very easy. They came out to give me a free quote, they were on time and it was a very reasonable price. They also suggested using Lutron Smart Light Switches to solve a couple of my annoyances that would have required way too much invasive Sheetrock to be worth doing. No one else I had out for a quote suggested them. They were knowledgeable and confident in their work and said it even came with a 3 year guarantee. They were able to come out to do the work rather quickly and gave a few hour window they would arrive in. They completed all the work I needed (changing some light switches, installing some smart light switches, adding a couple of outlets) in a timely manner, and all the workers were kind that I interacted with. Overall it was a good experience, and I would both recommend and use again. read more

I changed out a light switch and could. not make it work. My wife was out of town and returning that afternoon, so I needed a quick solution. I called and was able to schedule an appointment and two young men showed up a couple hours later. They were courteous and respectful. and prompt. I explained the problem and asked a few questions and then asked to see out box. Immediately, they saw that I forgot to turn on several breakers and the problem was immediately solved. I asked how much was the trip charge and they said, "Nothing, glad we could help and please call us again anytime.". What an embarrassing and great experience. read more

Salat & Muk were so great! They were timely, thorough, and kind. They installed my EV charger perfectly - I'd highly recommend them!

They were easy to schedule and arrived when they said they would. They explained everything to me and had everything fixed quickly.

Great service, reasonable price, knowledgeable technicians, prompt, and on-time service. Highly recommend.

Very responsive, was able to come out quickly and address a minor problem, found other issues that were more significant and gave us great feedback on how to address. Salat was fantastic, and even helped my father-in-law across the street with a quick check of a breaker box and more solid advice. I would give six stars if it were possible. And we will use Next Door Electric again when needed. read more

I just found my new electrician! I was so happy to have Nextdoor Electric in my home today to help me with an issue I was having with my bathroom lights. The technician, Salat, was super helpful and diagnosed my problem with ease. He came up with a simple, inexpensive solution and got my bathroom back in it's best light :-). I will be going to these folks for all my future needs. Thank you Salat and Nextdoor Electric. read more

Nextdoor Electric was absolutely fantastic. We had them come out and replace a breaker panel and run more power into the house. They were very courteous, punctual, professional, and most importantly, an amazing value for the work we had done. I will absolutely be calling on them in the future for all of my electric needs! read more

Sal, Fuad and their third team member did a fantastic job. They took their time to ensure the job is done correctly and to the satisfaction of the customer. They are responsive and flexible, which is clearly important when they address such a wise variety of applications: different home types, electrical needs, existing electrical work, etc. In my case, they hooked up my generator to my home's panel, installed a bathroom vent fan, and added a 240v line. This group has personalities that are easily likeable, which is always nice when you have people in your home for extended hours. Sal does a nice job of educating the customer about the work he is performing. I will hire them again in the future, and I recommend them highly to anyone looking for fairly priced work with a high level of service. Great group of people. read more

We needed an outdoor outlet repaired and our old electrician was no longer in business. We chose NextDoor based on reviews on Yelp and Google. My wife was originally told there were no Saturday appointments open, but after a short negotiation, one magically appeared. Our electrician was early and got to work immediately. There was no attempt to upsell unneeded parts and informed us there was a 3-year warranty on parts and labor, which was nice. We'll definitely call for future electrical needs. read more

Parts of our home's electricity, especially the big appliances like the fridges and the air conditioner wouldnt come on so i contacted center point who ofc didnt do anything and left saying we would have the power back but it came on and went off again pretty quickly then came on and went off again saying lies and charging me $109. So i found Nextdoor Electric on Yelp and Sal was at our house within 3 hrs which is pretty quick imo and gave us a free estimate. And let me tell you, the work that they did i know is supposed to way more than what they charged us but Sal gave us an extremely good deal and we said yes right away. They came out the next morning at 6AM!! To start on the work so it can be done asap. Sal was very kind and understanding of our situation and was very diligent. My husband and I are satisfied with the outcome. Ac is back on and fridges are working now. In this texas heat, digging up the dirt, all the wiring and etc, they were nice till the end. Muk who also waited for us to come home stayed till the end to finish up the job. Cant thank you guys enough. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Ps. They have a total 8 yr warranty. Which i love if anything were to go wrong in the future. (Probs not). read more

I have nothing but high praises for Sal. I am blown away as to how incredible him & his partner Andres just fixed up our home in no time. We had half our house shorted and lost power for more than a week. First I had someone recommended from family that came out & couldn't figure out the problem. Then I had John Moore come out and all they did was upsell. JM is extremely expensive and after trying to upsell, they told me it may or may not fix the problem. They were very disappointing because they scared me to death the way they presented the issues. I am extremely disappointed with that company. I found Next Door Electric on Google seeing that they have five star reviews. It's was a little hard to believe anyone would have a perfect "five stars". But once you meet Sal, you realize exactly why. Their prices are reasonable, they are genuine people who care about their customers. This is a rare trait to find in this line of work. Sal came out and fixed the problem that day! I'm beyond happy and beyond grateful that I found Sal through NextDoor electric. They will do all of our future work! :) read more
