Reaching out to this business was straight-forward, I emailed them and a kind woman called me by phone to setup an appointment. With any questions that she didn't know the answer to, she redirected me to email it so an electrician can better answer my question. I had my appointment scheduled and the gentleman, Doc, was assigned to perform the inspection. Doc arrived on-time, was detail oriented in his inspection, and was very patient to explain his findings and recommendations on what were a safety concern first, and what could be addressed later. He explained things over the phone thoroughly and explained his thought process and was open to any questions I had without being annoyed. Within a day, I received his inspection report, a quote for the project/repairs needed, and pictures of the inspection. He was also easy to reach by text. Doc was professional, courteous, and responsive. The cost of the inspection, I think, was a decent value. I highly recommend Veteran Electric to anyone seeking a safety electrical inspection and I hope I'm able to say the same about their quality of work when I hire them for electrical projects. Fantastic company. This was a small job but it entailed a risky approach to simply installing a…read morecover plate above a very high ceiling above a stair. Mission accomplished. This required very long screws that were not painted and this was handled as well. The second task was to repair/replace and existing fan, again in a peaked ceiling of about 14'. Initial job was to test whether power was reaching the fan. It was not. Net step was checking the switches and it was not. On to checking the switch which turned out to be faulty. Upon replacement, fan actually worked. I was very impressed that one of the owners and a helper showed up on time (acutally a bit early). Job required both a 24 foot ladder and a 16 foot ladder. Price was exceptionally reasonable (less that cost of new 400 fan I was able to return via Amazon. These folks are the true deal with service, great attitude and bi-lingual. Now i will not have to worry about my computers tripping breakers all the time. My main system if fully up and running will use over 1300 watts. That is why my breakers kept tripping. I asked them to use 10aug wiring for the new plugins. with 20amp breakers. Which would seem like over kill to some people but for me it's future proofing in case I have to shift to 240 plug ins at 30 amps. So they may have quoted me high because they didn't want the job or they use unicorn paint. They were transparent and upfront about the cost and quick to respond, so I'll give them that.
