I'll keep it straight to the point: they do great work, professional all the way, and have exceptional service. If it weren't for Yelp Request-A-Quote, I would have never known about them, but it was a personal recommendation from a friend (#1) that sealed the deal. I needed help with a Tesla Wall Charger unit, it's been intermittent with the charging and constantly failed due to faulty wires and breaker issues. Since it was a friend who helped me the first couple of times, I decided to finally go with a real professional, and I'm glad I did. I'm outside of their service area, which revolves around Katy and the westside of Houston. They still went out of their way to help on a moment's notice. Rebecca was good about giving me a callback and was even better at relaying the information to me about the charges. It would be $149 for a service fee, along with any equipment purchased on my behalf. After a quick assessment of my wiring and setup, they went out and purchased a breaker for me and installed it flawlessly. They were good about reattaching my Tesla wall unit and were thorough with the installation. Shawn and his right hand man were diligent about breaking down everything and even spoke in layman's terms to get me to understand. There was no attitude or complaints about how hot it was outside, just professionalism and a can-do attitude. They charge 3% for card use and invoices were provided electronically. They don't accept any of the cash apps, but I was lucky to have enough cash to pay them on the spot. $200 might seem like a lot for a small job, but I appreciated that they were available on short notice, the fact they trekked to me from far beyond the loop, and did the job well enough to where I have nothing but peace of mind. I highly recommend them and above everything, appreciate their stellar professionalism. ___________ (#1) You're the best, J R!

If you seek ambiguous communication, a lack of transparency, electrical work performed not to code, dishonesty and incompetence - hire Beekman. Our experience: 1. I acquired a cost estimate of 5 hours for some electrical work. I scheduled to be home for that amount of time so that the work could be performed. 2. When the Beekman electricians arrived, I inquired about whether permitting was required for the work (permitting insures that any work performed is inspected and to code, etc.) I was informed not once, but twice that a permit was not required (thank goodness for porch cameras that record audio). 3. Work was performed in less than 45 minutes. When I asked why my estimate noted 5 hours for the work - I was told "that's the way we do it." I then called Beekman's accounting department and inquired about an adjustment for the actual time it took to perform the work. After a few minutes of "that's the way we do it" the time was adjusted approximately 25%. 4. The next day - I happened to have a conversation with someone who works in the permits department. The conversation steered towards the work I had Beekman perform the previous day. And I was informed that a permit IS required for the type of electric work that was performed at my home the day prior and that Beekman would have known (Beekman has worked in this area before). I then contacted Tom Beekman directly. He acquiesced that they got caught, knew a permit was required and that he would handle the proper filing for same, etc. I even sent him a text with one example of the work that was performed, e.g., "hole" left in our panel where breakers used to be (See photo). Almost 2 weeks passed - and nothing. 5. A permit was finally filed - 12 days after the work had been completed. Beekman then attempted twice to get into my home to "fix" things prior to the inspection so that they would not get dinged (and fined/charged). One visit mandated my husband being home for work on one of those days. I have a video/audio recording of the Beekman electricians on our porch - after ringing the doorbell again and again - complaining about the amount of time it took for my husband to answer the door (he was on a work call) - it took less than 136 seconds. 6. In the interim, Tom Beekman unilaterally texted me to apologize for the work. He "looked over the entire situation" which he believed was handled "incorrectly". And that he wanted to "refund the entire cost" for the work that was performed. I picked up the phone and called him. After apologizing again - he offered that he would have someone come by with a check post inspection. I agreed. 7. I relayed to the inspector that Beekman acquiesced that their work was faulty and that Tom Beekman profusely apologized (See photo.) After 4 visits and several weeks - the issues that would have failed an inspection were fixed. 8. The electrical work performed (and subsequently fixed) by Beekman passed inspection. 9. A refund check signed by Tom Beekman was delivered to our home. Life went on. After a few weeks and after discussing it with my husband, we decided to deposit the Beekman refund check. Tom Beekman's refund check bounced (See photo). Sent Tom Beekman a text re: same. No reply.

Needed a power outlet installed outside on a brick wall. They arrived on time, completed the job in just over an hour, and left no mess. The job looks very professional and now I am ready to watch the Astros on the patio!

Wow I'm so impressed! I had an in-home estimate from Mr. Beekman himself (such a kind man) for a new breaker box. It was easy to schedule my appointment afterward with Rebecca the next day. My technician Larry handled everything from there! I was told it's an all-day job, so I could go back to work. But I coordinated everything at my home with Larry & he was so professional in getting it done. I asked A LOT of questions and he answered them all. I highly recommend this small company for their efficiency and attention to detail. Also, my estimate was lower than other companies, so I'm happy I could save some cash.

Mr. Sparky has an excellent process or system of dealing with customers. I got online completed a short needs analysis, push the button and within minutes I received a telephone call and we set up an appointment for the next day. When the job was complete gentleman called to check with my satisfaction. 2. I dealt with two electricians and a supervisor who is a master electrician. I was very pleased with their skill levels and especially with their customer relationship skills. 3. Their prices were competitive. They gave me a fixed cost thus taking the risk of unexpected loner ghourly charges out of the equation. 4. Their guarantees are impressive. However, one never knows about guarantees until one has to exercise a guarantee. Time will tell on this one. Except for the pain of paying out a lot of un-budgeted money, it has been a very pleasant experience.

In addition they tried to do a major upsale. I tried to get an estimate before they came and inspite of the fact that they had my history, they didn't. If I had known that it would be double the cost, I never would have used them again. I do not recommend them. I think that the latest rating of less than 4 stars is probably accurate. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied. So even with a senior discount I have a $1548 bill. When I asked why I wasn't given the full senior 20% discount, the answer is that the job was not big enough. Of course that was not in either the large or the small print. I do not recommend them at all. I think that you can get better service, more transparency and a better price elsewhere.

I asked for an estimate to install a Tesla Charger, Generator Inlet, and whole home surge protector, thats all. I told them I was competitively bidding the work and this is what they gave me. BTW, I was able to get three competitive quotes for this work that were all in the $1,900 - $2,300 range, so it really was just this company being way out of line with the rest of the market. Then he tried to use scare tactics to get me to do things like spend $10k to replace all my outlets and light switches since the house was built in 2005. He also wanted me to sign a document after receiving the estimate that had not-so-fine print that removed all liability for their work if I didn't do all the upgrades they suggested, including the $10k for replace all the outlets in my house. After I reminded the estimator three times that I was competitively bidding this work and that $23k for all these unnecessary items would not be winning him the job, he pushed for the $23k option again and began telling me about their low financing options. I asked him to leave at that point. I cant imagine how many elderly people or widows are taken advantage of by these types of scare and pressure tactics.

I hired him to install Govee permanent lights for the holidays. I contacted him early in November. The first bell rang when I was told he wouldn't be available till after Thanksgiving. But Geo Electrical had good reviews, so I had no reason not to trust them. I waited. In early December Geo finally came to install the lights. I provided the lights, the splitters and over 50' of extensions with compatible connectors. I also provided detailed diagrams on how and where to install the lights, so that no splicing would be necessary. (You are not supposed to cut and splice these lights). Geo disregarded my directions and cut and spliced the lights. Well, he's an electrician, I thought, he probably had done it before. I had to come outside and supervise him most of the time to make sure he does what he is supposed to. He charged $400.00 for the job. That night I noticed that the end string of lights that runs over my garage flickered intensely, whereas other lights were steady. See videos. I contacted Geo and was told he's booked all week and the next and then out of town till New Year. He did everything possible to get out of it. He told me to buy an amplifier (did not work). He told me it's not an electrical problem, but the length of the lights wiring is over 100' (which is nonsense, my set is only 100' and one string was left unused. 25' of extensions also left unused and controller supports 150 feet.) Then finally he conceded that it might be his connections in drop (see photo) that were loose and agreed to stop by and check those.. Next Year. So Next Year came and guess what? He is booked till January 26th. And then he told me that I'd have to pay extra money to fix it! When I said no, he wished me good luck! Just an unscrupulous guy who does not stand behind his work and evidently does not care about his reputation. Good Luck!
