This required very long screws that were not painted and this was handled as well. The second task was to repair/replace and existing fan, again in a peaked ceiling of about 14'. Initial job was to test whether power was reaching the fan. It was not. Net step was checking the switches and it was not. On to checking the switch which turned out to be faulty. Upon replacement, fan actually worked. I was very impressed that one of the owners and a helper showed up on time (acutally a bit early). Job required both a 24 foot ladder and a 16 foot ladder. Price was exceptionally reasonable (less that cost of new 400 fan I was able to return via Amazon. These folks are the true deal with service, great attitude and bi-lingual. Do not hesitate to hire these folks. Angel and his team are exceptional, quality human beings.

I asked for an estimate to install a Tesla Charger, Generator Inlet, and whole home surge protector, thats all. I told them I was competitively bidding the work and this is what they gave me. BTW, I was able to get three competitive quotes for this work that were all in the $1,900 - $2,300 range, so it really was just this company being way out of line with the rest of the market. Then he tried to use scare tactics to get me to do things like spend $10k to replace all my outlets and light switches since the house was built in 2005. He also wanted me to sign a document after receiving the estimate that had not-so-fine print that removed all liability for their work if I didn't do all the upgrades they suggested, including the $10k for replace all the outlets in my house. After I reminded the estimator three times that I was competitively bidding this work and that $23k for all these unnecessary items would not be winning him the job, he pushed for the $23k option again and began telling me about their low financing options. I asked him to leave at that point. I cant imagine how many elderly people or widows are taken advantage of by these types of scare and pressure tactics.

I called back and JNL said they could do it for $428. Wait I thought we HAD TO DO the $1,600 job because of "safety and regulations". I told the lady I would be going with another electrician. She sounded irritated with me and ended the call. Then I got an invoice for $250. Do not believe their website when they say they offer free quotes this is a lie. Kudos to Sugar Land Electric…read more I just can not tell you how impressed I am with Sugar Land Electric. I was first introduced to them about a year ago when my wife and I needed an electrical inspection for foster care. Dave who turned out to be the owner of the company and master electrician, came out to do our inspection and while he was here I decided to ask him to do a couple last minute projects. He happily obliged and installed a dedicated outlet and breaker for my compressor and welder. Then he installed a gfci outlet on an exterior wall so I could install landscape lighting. Finally, he installed a timer switch and cleaned up the wiring for my front porch lighting so that they all would come on at the same time with one switch. A few months later I decided to call On SLE again about installing some extra lighting in my garage. Once again Dave stopped by to discuss my project and provided several great ideas. While he was happy to do the work for me, also suggested that I was more than capable of handling the project myself and described in detail how to do it properly. Like he said, I was able to buy the materials and do the work myself in an afternoon. I now have plenty of light and a few bucks still in my pocket. This month we we decided to install a hot tub. The hot tub company gave me a quote to have their electrician install the power and I immediately called on SLE to validate the price. Yet again Dave called me and said he would swing by to take a look. He called me later that day and gave me a quote that was a little cheaper than the original quote, but we also discussed future expansion and he suggested while we were at that we consider installing a sub panel with additional capability just Incase we ever installed a pool, outdoor kitchen or some other structure requiring power. So for a few bucks more I was now prepared for just about any future project I could think of. The next day the SLE dig crew showed up and got to work. They trenched the yard laid the cable, replaced the dirt/sod and cleaned up. The following day when the tub was to be delivered another electrician showed up and worked with the hot tub crew to get the tub cabled up and powered on. Everything went off with out a hitch and with out me being there. All of this leads up today when I decide to move the tub to a different location and realized the power cable was now to short. I made a quick call to SLE asking to be put on their schedule for next week. To my surprise they just had a guy finish a job near by and was able to send him to me right away. I had an electrician at my house within 45 min! Talk about service, or luck, or maybe a little of both, but I am continually impressed by these guys. A few months after their maintenance, the generator crashed and showed a message which said an oil pressure issue. My warranty company came to check the issue and discovered the engine had excessive oil. The next day I called Sugar Land Electric to notify them of the problem of too much oil.
