BEWARE of this company they will try and scam you! Got a quote for $1,600 to replace 350 ft of wire. They said it was for safety and regulation reasons. I was suspicious and was shocked because the issue did not seem that extreme. Started calling other electricians to get their opinion and they both said it was unnecessary and to instead simply splice the bad wire right at the box, easy fix shouldn't be more than $100 total for parts and labor! I called back and JNL said they could do it for $428. Wait I thought we HAD TO DO the $1,600 job because of "safety and regulations". I told the lady I would be going with another electrician. She sounded irritated with me and ended the call. Then I got an invoice for $250. Do not believe their website when they say they offer free quotes this is a lie. Please stay away from this shady company, get another opinion or consultation somewhere else. So sad how careful you have to be these days to not get scammed... read more

I needed to get an Inlet installed for my generator. JN'L was awesome. Their prices were reasonable (they too have to make a profit). In the end you need three things, a company that is efficient/effective, a company that is dependable, and a company that stands by their work. JN'L was all that and more. They became a trusted advisor. JN'L was so I recommended them to two friends, and both ended up going with JN'L and are very happy they did. I have no hesitation recommending JN'L to you. read more

Left a message and got bavk to me quickly. Traveled 20 miles to take care of us after 5pm. Reasonable cost and very kind and knowledgable. Will call them again read more

Been using JnL Electric for years now and wouldn't use anyone else. TaCora helped me in looking for the right size portable generator for my house and had the guys come and hook up the house plug for the generator a day prior to lights going out for a week. She even texted me the day after the storm to see if everything was working for me. Everyone from the office team to the guys working in the field have a great attitude and great customer service! read more

I can't believe that the same company did work at my home. Called to get a generator outlet installed. We got a verbal estimate Technicians said that we need a new panel. We requested an estimate but never got a written one, in fact we were charged almost twice what Teree quoted on the phone. Teree would always have to check with LaCora on details. The invoice was sent 2 months after the work was done and we were shocked at the amount. Numerous phone calls asking for explanation were never returned. Eventually we went to their office and agreed on a more than generous amount. In the meantime, our double ovens would not heat. Having faith that the electrical works was done properly, we purchased new ovens at great expense. When the ovens were installed, the large oven would not heat. Troubleshooted everything except the breaker amp. Returned the ovens to the store and replacement ones were installed... same result. This is unlikely to happen twice. The installer suggested that we contact an electrician. Called JnL, spoke with Teree saying that we wanted this corrected sooner than later. TaCora sent an electrician from a different company to replace the breaker. He confirmed that the one JnL technicians installed was not enough amps. We never had contact with LaCora, even thought we requested a call. Unacceptable service. I did not need to replace the old ovens after all. Unnecessary expense. read more

David and Victor were out today to fix my 'attempt' at DIY-ing a GFCI outlet and bathroom light-switch change. I am throughly pleased with their courteous behavior, quick work, and that they even went above and beyond by looking at the other GFCI I planned to replace and give me tips on how to do it correctly! You made me a JNL lifetime customer today! Great work!! read more

JN'L Electric were an absolute dream to work with. Our initial meeting with Tacora was informative and helpful. She was able to answer the questions we had, tell us what to expect, prepared us for minor sheetrock repair after install and made recommendations to make sure we received the results we were looking for. We were provided with a proposal and fair estimate for the work we needed done. Eric and Victor made an outstanding team. They arrived on time and completed the multiple tasks we needed to have done. They installed 4 canister lights and light switch in a room with no lighting, replaced a gfci switch in our kitchen, removed an ancient alarm system and wiring from a closet and attic, installed an outdoor outlet with switch to our patio, and added a plug in our garage. Eric and Victor did excellent work, minimized the need for sheetrock repair, and were so neat that you would never have known we had work done. We could not be any happier with the work we had completed and we will certainly use them again for future jobs. I highly recommend JN'L Electric!!!! read more

So, I got a hold of this electric company thru a friend, actually thru a group of cub scouts. I first one to say, I had Tacora come out. A lot of energy, and a lot of knowledge... and I never felt more comfortable with her doing her job. I feel like I always think I know a little, but when she came around, I was just listening and felt like I got the exact right person. I know what a shock from a circuit is, but she explained why it shocked. All in all.. I do appreciate what she did and come out and tested my panel for one of the houses we were looking at. I have seen some of her work, I back up small business, but I more back up great and confident people. She was more worried about me, and if I was comfortable on what she was explaining than trying to make a check. Respect is respect. I am looking at a house now, she is my pick. read more

I used JNL to replace a ceiling fan that wasn't working, replace a bathroom vent fan that quit working, replace a bad breaker on my breaker box, and install a whole house surge protector. They were very professional and did a great job. I will definitely use them in the future if I need an electrician. read more

These guys are great! Fast service. Friendly and professional. My electrical panel was giving me issues throughout the night. My electricity was out in parts of the house including my air conditioner. I called at 7:40am in the morning and they had my electricity up and running 100% at 3:00pm the same afternoon. They had to move some of our plants and patio furniture to get to our electric panel. When they were finished, they even cleaned up after themselves and put everything back. I would definitely recommend JN'L Electric. read more

I was very impressed with their communication the most. Up front about the estimate and they did a pro job. WOW! JN'L electric is the real deal of a well run business. In about 10 years of home ownership we have probably had around half a dozen electricians rewire homes, install lights, get new boxes, etc. We have had so many companies because we were never satisfied. Tacora with JN'L has been more then easy to work with but also a joy and it has made this nightmare situation of rewiring an old house a pleasure. This was a very large job, maybe about 2 - 3 weeks total and almost everything seems perfect. We are working on a few issues we need to get ironed out and through this she has been communicative, available and diligent. JN'L does quality work, is extremly professional and timely and customer service goes above and beyond. THANK YOU JN'L for letting me put our trust in you and delivering!!! read more

Great service. I got a call the same day after asking for service. Electricians came out and were quick and efficient, cleaned up after themselves, and were professional. Our AC stopped working, and we were referred by the AC repair worker to have JnL Electric come fix a wiring issue so the central AC would work again. They were extremely kind, arrived quickly, customer service was courteous and responsive to my questions. The repair included a warranty on their service for one year, they will return to fix electrical issue if it ever becomes an issue again. Trustworthy, nice and a good bargain for the service and included warranty. read more

We recently had electric repairs performed at our house. My wife was at the house during repairs and informed me the contractors were extremely helpful in understanding required repairs. I later talked to them on phone to evaluate other conditions (and whether we would need additional work). I too was impressed with their desire to make sure all questions were being answered thoroughly. Tacora was helpful throughout the entire process as well. You guys are on my 'will recommend' list. I could not locate an open neutral in my dining room wall outlet. The circuit also covers an outlet on my front porch. My wife called them on Friday to get an appointment. She talked to tech and he told her he would be out Sat Jan 4, 2017 between 10 and 11 am He showed up on time and quickly found the problem. He fixed it for a reasonable price. He was very knowledgeable, professional and cleaned up afterwards. He has earned very satisfied customers who will repeat and tell others of their experience. Thank you! read more

AC stopped on July 3rd. Used my home warranty to secure help. JNL Electric was contracted. Given the holiday I was not able to be serviced until July 5th. I was the 18th stop in a long hot day. Both techs after 6 PM...they were both professional and ready to engage as if I was the first stop of the day. Problem was fixed and explanation given on the defective part as well as tips for future maintenance. Company and these 2 techs deserve a shout out for their professionalism and expertise. We use JnL for all our electrical work on our commercial property. TaCora always quotes the jobs fairly, and when we've compared her pricing on occasion, it's always the best value. They have done all manner of jobs for us: installing new energy efficient shop lighting, adding 3-ph 240v outlets, and installing emergency fire code lighting, plus more. An excellent team that does great work. read more

I was left hanging by another electrical contractor who did not finish the job. JN'L came out assessed the situation and started work the next day. They apologized for the poor work the first contractor did saying, "His work reflects poorly on all electrical contractors". Their work was quick and done well. The guys handled all the permits (which the first EC said he had), coordinated with Centerpoint and had our electrical feed hooked up in no time. Highly recommended. read more

I used JNL to do some electrical work at my house back in the spring of this year(2016) this is my second time I've used them and it will be the last time. The crew that was assigned to do the work was quite possibly the worst crew they ever hired. I received a request from yelp to give JNL a review, so I did and not a favorable one at that. A short while later I got a call from JNL's foreman asking me about the review and wanted to come to my house to see what the problem was and he did. He assured me that the problems would be corrected, He also apologized and informed me that crew has been terminated , that was the last I heard from him or the company. The reason I am writing this is I just took down my Christmas decorations from the attic and was totally in shock to see the terrible work that this crew did with the wiring im sure if an inspector saw it it would have failed. I understand that the crew has since been terminated but Im still waiting for the work to be fixed. I dont think its going to happen. I wont recommend this company. read more

This outfit is top class. I live in the heights and I had an emergency. We came home to no power with hot weather and fridge full of fresh groceries. I used JnL once before and they were good. I called them again to come and give an estimate to fix a simple yard light that had a tree limb fall on it. They had me "on the board" for two weeks and then out of the blue I got a call from the worker who was in my back yard, with no one home and no notification saying he was fixing the light. He said the bulb was not right and the bulb cover was broken. Neither one true. I told him I had not been notified that they were coming and had not been given the estimated cost. I called the office and the rep, PAM, was rude and told me she would call me back with the cost. The cost was over priced for the 30 minute job at $500.00. I told her no. Pam then told me if that they would just "take it down" if they had already done the work. When I got home my garage door would not open. It has worked fine for 10 years. So now, no light and my garage door does not open. I will never call them again and when the other electricians come and determine that the garage door is something JnL did, I am reporting them to the BBB and will request that JnL pay for the damage for a job they were not authorized to do. read more
