BEWARE of this company they will try and scam you! Got a quote for $1,600 to replace 350 ft of wire. They said it was for safety and regulation reasons. I was suspicious and was shocked because the issue did not seem that extreme. Started calling other electricians to get their opinion and they both said it was unnecessary and to instead simply splice the bad wire right at the box, easy fix shouldn't be more than $100 total for parts and labor! I called back and JNL said they could do it for $428. Wait I thought we HAD TO DO the $1,600 job because of "safety and regulations". I told the lady I would be going with another electrician. She sounded irritated with me and ended the call. Then I got an invoice for $250. Do not believe their website when they say they offer free quotes this is a lie. Please stay away from this shady company, get another opinion or consultation somewhere else. So sad how careful you have to be these days to not get scammed... read more

I can't believe that the same company did work at my home. Called to get a generator outlet installed. We got a verbal estimate Technicians said that we need a new panel. We requested an estimate but never got a written one, in fact we were charged almost twice what Teree quoted on the phone. Teree would always have to check with LaCora on details. The invoice was sent 2 months after the work was done and we were shocked at the amount. Numerous phone calls asking for explanation were never returned. Eventually we went to their office and agreed on a more than generous amount. In the meantime, our double ovens would not heat. Having faith that the electrical works was done properly, we purchased new ovens at great expense. When the ovens were installed, the large oven would not heat. Troubleshooted everything except the breaker amp. Returned the ovens to the store and replacement ones were installed... same result. This is unlikely to happen twice. The installer suggested that we contact an electrician. Called JnL, spoke with Teree saying that we wanted this corrected sooner than later. TaCora sent an electrician from a different company to replace the breaker. He confirmed that the one JnL technicians installed was not enough amps. We never had contact with LaCora, even thought we requested a call. Unacceptable service. I did not need to replace the old ovens after all. Unnecessary expense. read more

This guys are very unprofessional, a real electrician came to check a problem in my house and found a bunch of electrical issues, 1- breaker box not grounded properly 2- didn't install connectors to enter pipe in the panel 3 double tap hot wires in breakers 4 double tap neutral wires and mixed with ground wires 5- didn't use bushing for main wires coming from meter box, one of the wires it's a little damaged already you can see in the picture and this is the one that got me very pissed off, now I have to pay a real electrician to come out and fix your mess Jacob and Francisco shouldn't be doing electrical work, because either they don't know or just don't give AF read more

She was able to answer the questions we had, tell us what to expect, prepared us for minor sheetrock repair after install and made recommendations to make sure we received the results we were looking for. So, I got a hold of this electric company thru a friend, actually thru a group of cub scouts. I first one to say, I had Tacora come out. A lot of energy, and a lot of knowledge... and I never felt more comfortable with her doing her job. I feel like I always think I know a little, but when she came around, I was just listening and felt like I got the exact right person. I know what a shock from a circuit is, but she explained why it shocked. All in all.. I do appreciate what she did and come out and tested my panel for one of the houses we were looking at. I have seen some of her work, I back up small business, but I more back up great and confident people. These guys are great! Fast service. Friendly and professional. My electrical panel was giving me issues throughout the night. My electricity was out in parts of the house including my air conditioner. I called at 7:40am in the morning and they had my electricity up and running 100% at 3:00pm the same afternoon. WOW! JN'L electric is the real deal of a well run business. In about 10 years of home ownership we have probably had around half a dozen electricians rewire homes, install lights, get new boxes, etc. We have had so many companies because we were never satisfied. Our AC stopped working, and we were referred by the AC repair worker to have JnL Electric come fix a wiring issue so the central AC would work again. AC stopped on July 3rd. Used my home warranty to secure help. JNL Electric was contracted. Given the holiday I was not able to be serviced until July 5th. I was the 18th stop in a long hot day. I used JNL to do some electrical work at my house back in the spring of this year(2016) this is my second time I've used them and it will be the last time. The crew that was assigned to do the work was quite possibly the worst crew they ever hired. I received a request from yelp to give JNL a review, so I did and not a favorable one at that. A short while later I got a call from JNL's foreman asking me about the review and wanted to come to my house to see what the problem was and he did. He assured me that the problems would be corrected, He also apologized and informed me that crew has been terminated , that was the last I heard from him or the company. The reason I am writing this is I just took down my Christmas decorations from the attic and was totally in shock to see the terrible work that this crew did with the wiring im sure if an inspector saw it it would have failed. I understand that the crew has since been terminated but Im still waiting for the work to be fixed. I dont think its going to happen. I wont recommend this company. read more

I used JnL once before and they were good. I called them again to come and give an estimate to fix a simple yard light that had a tree limb fall on it. They had me "on the board" for two weeks and then out of the blue I got a call from the worker who was in my back yard, with no one home and no notification saying he was fixing the light. He said the bulb was not right and the bulb cover was broken. Neither one true. I told him I had not been notified that they were coming and had not been given the estimated cost. I called the office and the rep, PAM, was rude and told me she would call me back with the cost. The cost was over priced for the 30 minute job at $500.00. I told her no. Pam then told me if that they would just "take it down" if they had already done the work. When I got home my garage door would not open. It has worked fine for 10 years. So now, no light and my garage door does not open. I will never call them again and when the other electricians come and determine that the garage door is something JnL did, I am reporting them to the BBB and will request that JnL pay for the damage for a job they were not authorized to do. read more
