I needed a brass hanging lamp rewired and a repair. They are wonderful and did it in a couple of days. I can now use an antique piece knowing it is safe and was done quickly. I definitely recommend them when you need a repair. Super nice folks. read more

STAY AWAY. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I brought a new chandelier to Noel over 6 months ago to install an extension rod. We tested the light out before I dropped it off and it turned on without a problem. A month later he gives me a call to let me know that the light would no longer turn on after he installed the extension but he would be working on getting it operational again. After months of me following up and getting repeated apologies/non-updates, I went by today to get my light so I could take it somewhere that would actually be willing to help their customer. He had the audacity to try to charge me for the extension. I'm worse off now than I was before I put my new chandelier in Noel's care. Buyer beware I suppose. If you're looking for somewhere to repair or modify your fixture or lamp, find some place else that values their customers. read more

Lights in the Heights is more like private parties and bands on the front porch in the heights with minimal Christmas lights and crowds in the streets. Riveroaks is much better for Christmas lights. read more

This store is the kind of store you dream about. The owner is incredibly kind. He does beautiful work and he does it at a very reasonable price which is so rare these days. Shop local and grow together! Whether it was our craftsmen inspired outdoor deck lights or our just right bathroom replacement light, Heights Lights and Things can help you find the right light! It is a showroom that has examples of a variety of lighting options, but if you can't find what you want they have books and books of lights you can order. For our bathroom fixture I found the style I wanted on the showroom wall but it was too long. The owner helped me find the same style number but with the length I needed. The customer service is good and I'm happy to give my money to HL&T over Home Depot any day. It is a little hard to find and seems almost like a house, but walk in and give a hello. Life savers! Francisco and Don are an amazing team! I bought a antique chandelier that unbeknownst to me was not properly wired (whole other story) and needed to be completely rewired. I took the chandelier to the shop and they both worked on the wiring while I waited. Francisco really knows his stuff. He educated me on the chandelier and the various types of crystals, bulbs, etc. They even had the correct bulbs to fit the European sockets (another annoyance) so I didn't have to search all over the place for the proper bulbs. On top of the great customer service, the price was more than reasonable. If I could give the guys at Heights Lights & Things 10 stars I would. They went far above and beyond to repair a broken lamp base. They tried MANY fixes and finally engineered a remarkable repair. They drilled a hole into the base and stabilized it within with a large metal screw. Amazing. Creative. Repaired. Best customer service ever. read more

So... they don't have a high powered web site, that's because its not Home Depot. I have used these guys on a number of projects, the last one was a retro-fit to LED for my entire house. Not only did they find what I needed with more Lums and much better quality, when I came up 2 short, they went and got them and dropped them at my house. I also like to see things up and decide. Don and his gang encourage that. I am no relative of these guys nor do I normally do reviews, but when I saw the negative one from someone who hasn't evev been to their shop, I had to chime in. If its customer service you want... face to face....talking to real lighting experts that provide you with products of better quality than the mass box stores, then this IS the place. Oh... and so they don't stay open on Saturdays, but give them some notice and they will meet you at their warehouse. They have opened up for me twice. Always ready to help me out. read more
