I needed a brass hanging lamp rewired and a repair. They are wonderful and did it in a couple of days. I can now use an antique piece knowing it is safe and was done quickly. I definitely recommend them when you need a repair. Super nice folks. read more

I took my lamp in to Heights Lights Company to correct mistakes that were done by another lamp company. I gave my checklist of what I wanted done. I picked my lamp up today and it was all done as I had asked. Everyone is so nice and accommodating and I will be using Heights lights company again. read more

STAY AWAY. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I brought a new chandelier to Noel over 6 months ago to install an extension rod. We tested the light out before I dropped it off and it turned on without a problem. A month later he gives me a call to let me know that the light would no longer turn on after he installed the extension but he would be working on getting it operational again. After months of me following up and getting repeated apologies/non-updates, I went by today to get my light so I could take it somewhere that would actually be willing to help their customer. He had the audacity to try to charge me for the extension. I'm worse off now than I was before I put my new chandelier in Noel's care. Buyer beware I suppose. If you're looking for somewhere to repair or modify your fixture or lamp, find some place else that values their customers. read more

This store is the kind of store you dream about. The owner is incredibly kind. He does beautiful work and he does it at a very reasonable price which is so rare these days. I had a lamp which needed to be fixed and the repairs were perfect and exactly as I wanted and very cheap so please do not pass up an opportunity to use this store for any needs you have with lighting or lamp repair!!! read more

Love this store . Such a huge selection and the owner knows his stuff! Also great re-wiring and expert repairman Francisco can solve your fixture problem. Unfortunately, the store is closing by the end of July 2021 and everything is on clearance, priced to sell. Amazing items and prices. Disregard the hours posted. They are open SEVEN DAYSAWEEK until they close for good July 31. About 8:30-3:30 or 4:00 every day read more

Dropped off a lamp for repair to the stem and fittings. Finished and ready for pickup in a few HOURS ! Very nice service and oh so convenient in The Heights. read more

Noel was fantastic. He was helpful figuring out what lights would work in our space and was very flexible and accommodating in terms of getting the products delivered to our home very quickly. Highly recommend!! read more

Great service and very reasonable. My cat chewed one of my favorite lamp's cable. Francisco fixed it on the spot for a very reasonable price. Lamp came back to life! So happy to have found this place not to mention they have beautiful lamps! Will be back and my cat loves chewing cords. read more

Shop local and grow together! Whether it was our craftsmen inspired outdoor deck lights or our just right bathroom replacement light, Heights Lights and Things can help you find the right light! It is a showroom that has examples of a variety of lighting options, but if you can't find what you want they have books and books of lights you can order. For our bathroom fixture I found the style I wanted on the showroom wall but it was too long. The owner helped me find the same style number but with the length I needed. The customer service is good and I'm happy to give my money to HL&T over Home Depot any day. It is a little hard to find and seems almost like a house, but walk in and give a hello. Someone will greet you! Don't be scared. read more

Great customer service! I was in the area and needed help with a lamp fixture bought in Europe that wouldn't work...the guys here took the time to diagnose and fix the problem. They apologized profusely for making me wait (a couple of other people were in store), and then wouldn't take my money for their time/effort! Too kind - go here to support a great small business! read more

Took in a lamp to fix the knob...in and back out with my lamp in less than 10 minutes. The man that helped me was so kind. I was about to drive to memorial to get it fixed when I decided to give this place a shot. Glad I did. So much more convenient and great service! read more

Life savers! Francisco and Don are an amazing team! I bought a antique chandelier that unbeknownst to me was not properly wired (whole other story) and needed to be completely rewired. I took the chandelier to the shop and they both worked on the wiring while I waited. Francisco really knows his stuff. He educated me on the chandelier and the various types of crystals, bulbs, etc. They even had the correct bulbs to fit the European sockets (another annoyance) so I didn't have to search all over the place for the proper bulbs. On top of the great customer service, the price was more than reasonable. I had such a great experience that I want to buy more antique lighting just so I can deal with these guys again :) Thank you, Francisco and Don! read more

If I could give the guys at Heights Lights & Things 10 stars I would. They went far above and beyond to repair a broken lamp base. They tried MANY fixes and finally engineered a remarkable repair. They drilled a hole into the base and stabilized it within with a large metal screw. Amazing. Creative. Repaired. Best customer service ever. read more

Selected this business based on great reviews and it was worth the drive all the way from Porter. Good, honest, knowledgeable and quick. Will definitely be using from now on. Highly recommend! read more

I am all for patronizing local businesses, but when you look at their web site, and it says "under construction," and then you call their business number, and the message just says, "No one is available to take your call," that shows such a lack of customer service and professionalism, I don't even bother. read more

What a great little local shop. I stopped by for a lamp repair and was very pleased with the service. They are very reasonable and easy to work with. Not only do they do repairs, they ahve a whole showroom of lights available to choose from. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a lighting need. read more

I took three lamps in and thought they would all have to be retired. Francisco fixed two on the spot (it was LED bulbs going out). He also repaired the floor switch on a lamp for a very reasonable price. I love local businesses that take time to solve your problem. read more

So... they don't have a high powered web site, that's because its not Home Depot. I have used these guys on a number of projects, the last one was a retro-fit to LED for my entire house. Not only did they find what I needed with more Lums and much better quality, when I came up 2 short, they went and got them and dropped them at my house. I also like to see things up and decide. Don and his gang encourage that. I am no relative of these guys nor do I normally do reviews, but when I saw the negative one from someone who hasn't evev been to their shop, I had to chime in. If its customer service you want... face to face....talking to real lighting experts that provide you with products of better quality than the mass box stores, then this IS the place. Oh... and so they don't stay open on Saturdays, but give them some notice and they will meet you at their warehouse. They have opened up for me twice. Always ready to help me out. read more

Darlin little shop! Very nice people. And very helpful! I had a problem with a lamp that needed repair, and they fixed it on the spot! For next to nothing! Anxious to go back and buy some lighting from them! read more

Nice little shop. Don and Francisco are very knowledgable and always very helpful. Customer service is through the roof. I'm building a house and they helped me pick my light fixtures, and very importantly, gave me great advice about what size of light fixture was appropriate for each space. I wouldn't have been able to figure that part out myself. read more

Walked into this store to get a part for my lamp. He took one look and fixed me right up. He explained everything that I needed to do. What a breath of fresh air. Love the feeling of home grown retailers. Will shop there more. Looked at several big box stores and left frustrated at the lack of help. Hello Houston. Shop local mom and pop stores first.
