We contacted Brent with Space City Lights upon recommendation of Angi's list. Actually SCL was the "only" company recommended, so that told me they met their vetting standards. They're also A+ rated by the BBB and for good reasons...professionalism, quality, and reasonable pricing. SCL had to redo our outdoor lighting and bring it up to industry standards. Five months ago, a company installed our lighting system which began to fail within 30 days. Each time the owner would come out and do something to rectify the problem. Not until the circuit breaker began tripping and shutting off immediately, did we call an electrician. (The guy who did the initial install buried a household extension cord over 100 feet and left the receptacle end and plugs to the transformer and lights in the open and rain.) We're happy our house didn't burn down. I can't recommend SCL enough. We are very satisfied with the excellent workers who came out and the quality of their work as well as neatness of the job. We had three green spaces at our townhome and the outdoor lights were completely nonfunctioning. In just a few hours, Space City Lights had all lights working, several lights moved for better spacing, a transformer replaced and some loose hanging wires safely installed in conduit. Space city lights was quick to respond to my inquiry, scheduling was a breeze for the quote and project, Brent was personable, professional, and overall just a great person to work with! I'm so glad we went with space city lights for this project!! They scheduled about a week out from the consult/quote (we had limitations for scheduling this wasn't on them and even with our limitations we were able to get in quickly). Even though it was raining they came and got the job done and our home looks phenomenal. A once dark set back home now pops, feels so much safer, and draws attention to the beauty of not only structural components of our home but the giant oak trees in our front yard. Brent's vision was spot on, if we would have went with my initial inquiry (about 7 lights) I would have been so disappointed in my choosing to do less lighting... after seeing the final results (about 15 lights, two sensor spotlights, and bistro lighting) I know exactly why Brent is in this line of work and so successful! They pulled a fast one me last year - sold me lights they said were LED (which they weren't) that I didn't want but promised to re-hang my lights for years to come at a discount . . . to only 'cancel' my contract for no reason after the season. I have used SCL for two years now and have been very happy with their work during the holidays. The owner and his crew are very professional and prepared for the job. They schedule their visits in advance also show up on time. They really make holiday decorating painless by doing all of the work for you. You own the lights and fixtures but they do the installation for you which is great. When they take everything down, they store it neatly in a bin with installation instructions for the next year. read more
