I wasn't able to be present(wish I could have) due to work and needing to get this project completed. He relocated and upgraded our main panel, ran an exterior plug for a water softener, fixed a couple interior plug issues, ran an additional circuit(required trenching), and added multiple plugs in the 3 car garage for us, two garage door opener on the ceiling, and extra wall plugs, which also included a 220V(50 amp) for future EV charging. Yovani responded to my request right away, which I really appreciated since my smoke alarm had been chirping loudly and announcing "Low Battery" every minute since 2:30 AM! He arrived within the timeframe he gave me and was polite, informative, and helpful. He advised me to replace all smoke alarms in the house because once one goes, the rest aren't far behind. I was quoted $109 per alarm. That sounded high, but I thought the 10-year battery alarms cost around $50 each, so I agreed. I needed the chirping to stop. He went to the store to pick up the alarms and returned about an hour later. It took him a little less than an hour to replace all 7 smoke alarms with Kidde Worry Free 10-year Battery alarms. No more chirping!!! My only complaint was the amount he charged me. After he left, I looked up the cost of the alarms at Lowe's and Home Depot. Turns out they can be purchased for $20 per alarm. I'm not opposed to a business making money and being paid for their time, but $600+ profit for two hours work seems exorbitant. In any case, I'm happy to have new smoke alarms that I shouldn't have to deal with for the next 8 to 10 years! And I was relieved to get the work done the same day I reached out. read more
