I was never told a price upfront. Nice older guy but he removed my breakers and said he would be right back. I had to call him and ask him what was the price after he had already removed the parts. The first call was unanswered. He called me back about 10 minutes later to tell me the breakers were 80 bucks each when Lowe's had them for $20 cheaper. Also told me he wasn't going to charge me an extra 50 bucks for additional time when all he did was walk around and make sure everything was working properly. read more

After getting 5 different electrical estimates I ended up choosing Aim High Electric because they were the only electrical estimate that offered to install my new awning breaker line through my attic instead of around my house from the garage breaker box. In the end this led to less electrical line on the exterior and will allow them to come back out and patch into the breaker to power my awning electrical. Yeah I liked their services so much I'm calling them back out in about a month for more work. Jim is the owner and he does electrical by code which is great and will listen to your ideas to give you the best by the book solution that will be the safest option as well. Many of the electrical estimates by awning companies were handymen that would just tap into my existing porch light line. Luckily Jim explained how in the long run it could lead to constant breaker trips and some fixtures not working because there was too much demand on the circuit. Now I feel safe plugging in my new ceiling fans, lights, and maybe some electrical heaters on my patio in the winter. I can do this because I have an entire breaker added now just for my new zone. Another reason I like Aim High Electric is they are problem solvers. I really wanted my floodlight on the middle of my garage because it would look better and the lights would provide better lighting. The electricians noticed an issue when trying to complete my Floodlight install because my main garage support beam was in the way of their center electrical line install and drilling into that is not recommended or safe. They brain stormed though and found another way to install the floodlight using a bell box and coming in from the soffit ceiling above. The light looks and functions great. My last praise would be the quality of their work. The conduit lines that were run on my exterior are works of art. The hug my siding great and do not standout as an eyesore. When they are painted they will look even better. If you are looking for an electrician that can take on tough jobs and do them right Aim High Electric is the company for you. Second visit, tech blamed the issue on our range, We were in the process of having an appliance upgrade so we did just that. No change. Called AHS. Told them the situation. Wow just wow !!!!!!!!!!! This has to be the worse service I've ever received !!!!!! I will never recommend this company to anyone , I made the worse mistake giving this company my money ........ if your considering American Home Shield ..... please RUN ! And don't look back. Here is my story, We starting having problems with the lighting in the living room, our reset lights were having some issues when we first moved in. There were mitch match bulbs in the socket but we left it because they were still working fine, But just like any other new homeowner you're going to have issues. The lights would cut back on when they were shut off, and flicker on and off even whenever the light switch was off . We thought maybe it's because the lightbulbs didn't match. So like normal we changed the light bulbs ...... it was fine for a couple of days then it began again....... so just like normal ....... we called American Home Shield, BIG MISTAKE ! They sent over a "mom&pap, chop shop" company by the name "Aim High Electric", they did such a shoddy job! I came home to sheet rock all over my floor and my couches disheveled and nothing was done and my fiancé angry . I was so upset I Immediately contacted this company because the lights were still acting up and I don't know where we started smelling a burnt plastic smell in the living room. I tried to get in contact with this "mama pop chop shop", and I swear you could not get a hold of anyone! I started getting text messages from the technician that was at my house and he basically told me that it was my lightbulbs ????? WHAT ! which makes no sense because that doesn't explain why your lights continue to cut on; when off ? I even went to the extent to look them up on Google and buy my surprise they're working out of their house. So we called American Home Shield right after they finish the job and boy of boy was that a big mistake to. I was on the phone for two hours and did not get a hold of anyone in the states it was someone overseas and after a whole hour on the phone with that person they sent me over to the supervisor she told me we had to wait for aim high electric to send the invoice in , then proceeded to say that it's gonna take up to 24 to 48 hours for them to send the invoice so I waited. Seven days later I called American Home Shield back, because I didn't hear a peep out of them. I was on the phone for two hours!!!!!! Once I finally got someone on the phone it was someone AGAIN from overseas!!!!! You could not hear or understand him and after a whole hour on the phone with him to I immediately asked to be transferred over to a supervisor because I was tired of going in circles with him ....... so he transferred me over . I regret being transferred over , sweet baby Jesus that was the worst mistake I've made in my life ! Paula got on the phone and let me tell you that woman deserves to lose her job because of how awful she was. Paula was the nastiest person I have ever spoke to she had the worst attitude!!!!!! I'm honestly shocked that she's a supervisor . That woman was absolutely disgraceful and the way she conducted her self was shocking. We tried to explain to her the situation and she completely cut us off , then my fiancé tried to explain and holy moly she cut him off as well! We could not get a word in ! She even said to me that I was disrespectful because I was calling her ma'am !? ....... WHAT !!!!!!! And she demanded me to call her by her first name ! Which I didn't even hear when she first got a phone because she didn't even give me her first name !? This woman was so unprofessional, she would speak over you would not even let you get a word in. Paula was extremely aggressive and just had the nastiest demeanor that I have ever dealt with, it was like talking to a rabid pitbull in a human form. She was not worried about saving anybody's account. So! At the end we ended up canceling our account which was the best decision I've made. So if you find yourself dealing with the same people I dealt with beware because you're going to end up not getting your money back and getting the worst service you've ever had! read more

Had a new washer/dryer installed today after going in circles with the store but that's for another review. After having a connection issue with the dryer I reached out to several electricians and aim high was the only one that called back. Told him my issue and he was kind enough to talk me through the wiring process. Saved me at least a couple hundred bucks. Will definitely call back when I need more electrical work done. I called my warranty company and my warranty company called Aim High. I just needed my doorbell to work. Aim High stated that they needed to call my warranty company to get approval to fix the issue. Aim High never called my warranty company and they took my deductible. After several phone calls to the company, I spoke with an elderly gentleman who promised to come by several times but never did even after I told him that I was getting off work for his visit between 12-4pm. If you want a company to steal your money, time and not get the job done then do business with them. If you want a company to lie to you about coming to fix an issue you have paid them for then call them. I just wish I could give them negative stars!!! read more

We were put in touch with Aim thru AHS due to electrical panel surge. Panel was 26 years old and multiple breakers had fried due to AC surge. They were able to replace the entire panel within 24 hours as it is August in Houston so high temps. Very pleased with the work and prompt attention to our challenge. Called my home warranty company about replacing ceiling fans. Home warranty stated they were covered by insurance. Aim high saying it's not covered. Home warranty attempted multiple times to call aim high and no answer. I left messages and no one returned call. Very poor communication between the office and there staff. Finally got approval from tech that warranty covered ceiling fans and then tech couldn't install that day. Had to schedule another appointment to install. Waste of time. We had lightning strike our house around 5:30pm and were in a bind, we googled electricians on our smart phone and Jim's name came up. We went ahead and hired him to fix our underground wire that needed replacing. He was able to get the job done in one day which was great but before Center Point would turn the power back on he needed to redo some of his work. He gave Center Point attitude and they left without turning our power back on. And the next day when we went to fix our torn up yard we realized Jim and his crew took one of our shovels and a rake from the backyard. We called and didn't get a reply...no big deal I think, just $20 to replace the both of them. But then a few weeks after the raining stopped and we need to run the sprinklers they don't work. Jim Jackson is a nice, kind hearted army veteran who identified my electrical issues and resolved it within 1 1/2 hours if arriving to my house. I have never written a review before, but I felt that others should know about my experience with Aim High. Like many others, they were dispatched by my home warranty company. The technician arrived on time and seemed to fix the problem. However, I had to call back within a day or two because the problem came back. He then came a second time, and his solution was to REMOVE my GFCI and install a regular outlet. I was not home and immediately contact the company to make them aware of his actions. After several unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem, they finally sent the owner out, and he confirmed that the technician did in fact violate code and that he no longer worked for the company. Fast forward 8 months my problem has still not been fixed! Worst service EVER!! I would give them no stars if possible. read more

He was a clean, friendly, very nice guy; he solved our problem (fixed wiring in a GFCI) and made sure that everything connected to that wiring was working before he left. My husband called this company to come out to check why our oven was not working. Jim came out and told us without even looking at the hard wiring of the oven, that it was definitely the oven and not the electricity. We sent away for a new part to fix the oven. One hundred and fifty dollars later the part was not the problem, it was indeed the hard wiring. We had to have the hard wiring redone and what do you know, it works. What a joke of a company. Jim and Scott installed three ceiling fans in my house. They were punctual, professional and thorough. One of the fans was on an angled ceiling and two of them needed an extra switch to operate the fan and the lights separately. All three had drop rods. In addition, Jim replaced one of my wall outlets that had sparked. They did all of the above with ease. read more

I am quite surprised at the negative reviews for this company. They contacted me in response to a request for service by my home warranty company. They showed up when they said they would, repaired a problem created by a prior remodeler, and left my place unscathed. They had to climb around in a hot attic to locate a problem that wasn't apparent. I appreciate that they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.
