Reaching out to this business was straight-forward, I emailed them and a kind woman called me by phone to setup an appointment. With any questions that she didn't know the answer to, she redirected me to email it so an electrician can better answer my question. I had my appointment scheduled and the gentleman, Doc, was assigned to perform the inspection. Doc arrived on-time, was detail oriented in his inspection, and was very patient to explain his findings and recommendations on what were a safety concern first, and what could be addressed later. He explained things over the phone thoroughly and explained his thought process and was open to any questions I had without being annoyed. Within a day, I received his inspection report, a quote for the project/repairs needed, and pictures of the inspection. He was also easy to reach by text. Doc was professional, courteous, and responsive. The cost of the inspection, I think, was a decent value. I highly recommend Veteran Electric to anyone seeking a safety electrical inspection and I hope I'm able to say the same about their quality of work when I hire them for electrical projects. After getting to the issue he calmed down and explained the issue to me. Right about when the crew was leaving I pointed out that many plugs where not covered by face plates which they happily did. It wast until a few days later my wife informed me of a loose light switch socket, and a missing Dimmer switch ("DIMMER" 4/18/18 --RIP) that had been swapped to a regular light switch, I even checked and found a couple of loose plug covers and one plug that had been stripped and re-drilled it. Every where work had been done there were wire bits and copper pieces in some amount. Billing was even strange since the work was done 4/18/18 and the bill was not received until 5/3/18. Jessie even failed to follow up on about ~$2600 worth of Fuse box work. I mean who doesn't want to get money? My Dimmer was to be replaced when the Fuse box was installed, so I guess I'll have to take that loss. All in all they got the job done and for the man hours the owner billed fairly. You should give them a chance as I felt my situation was different and according o the other reviews most likely an anomaly.

I was very pleased with their skill levels and especially with their customer relationship skills. 3. Their prices were competitive. They gave me a fixed cost thus taking the risk of unexpected loner ghourly charges out of the equation. 4. Their guarantees are impressive. However, one never knows about guarantees until one has to exercise a guarantee. Time will tell on this one. Except for the pain of paying out a lot of un-budgeted money, it has been a very pleasant experience.

However, only Andrea from Unity Services suggested for me to check the GFCI reset button in the garage that might have tripped which caused my outdoor power outlet to stop working. Well, did just that and after unplugging everything, resetting the GFCI and drying up the Christmas light connection that tripped the GFCI in the first place, the outdoor outlet worked again. It was a simple but smart suggestion by Andrea, the owner. It also is refreshingly honest. At the risk of potentially losing a repair job, she showed me how to try to fix it myself without spending money. Needless to say, we will hire them for our next electrical service project.
