Finally, we've found a right electrical company that is not send a subcontractor to do the work. Backup Electric, the owner, Albert was on-time, professional, true pleasure, detailed, informative. we could not ask for more. Totally satisfied with our new electrical panel when he finished, he cleaned-up, made sure everything was working properly and demonstrated to us. It is hard to find a company as friendly and courteous, as well as skilled and trustworthy as Albert. Outstanding! Definitely recommend! read more

I hired BackUp Electric to add an interlock to my home so that I can use a portable generator for power. They assessed my old breaker box and replaced it with an upgrade along with the interlock for a very affordable and fair price. It was thousands less than other options and it works like a charm! The electricians were very professional and knowledgeable of the work which they did and they explained everything done and the purpose. Upon completion of the job they tested the systems and gave me a brief and easy training on how to utilize my generator during an outage. Very happy customer here!!! read more

Great job, well priced and safe. Had a new panel installed and a direct line for my new electric oven. Did the job within a week and provided great information for parts/service needed. Did an over the phone price quote which helps during these times and saves having to take a day off for a quote. Sent pictures and he was able to formulate a quote and communicate what was necessary. Had a few questions in the end but he was able to answer all. Definitely recommend and will higher for future electric problems. read more

Not sure how these reviewers gave him high ratings. There was someone in our community that recommended him to install generator inlets for only 450.00. I called him and he did quote me for it. Everything sounded good until he makes you purchase all the equipment and then never returns your call or text to confirm a date of service. I read some replies posts on my community fb page and others complained about the same thing too with Albert. He doesn't return text and phone calls only when he feels like it. He made me purchase all the equipment and I'm sitting here waiting for him to just confirm a date. Called many times and text he doesn't return again the next couple of days. If he were to come out and do the job and if something goes wrong with his work I doubt he will even come out to fix it. I wouldn't recommend this guy seem very sketchy and unprofessional. Not sure how he was able to get good reviews from others but I feel I didn't say or do anything to him besides listening to what he told me to buy and then he just went offline afterwards. read more

Finishing up the kitchen from the February Freeze a year or so ago, we called in another electrician to fix a couple of issues that cropped up - two switched that stopped working. They looked at the old box, and told us everything needed to be updated, gave us a couple of option $5200 or $6800. I called Backup Electric. The Backup Electric electrician came out, and I repeated the history. He made a call to the owner who asked if the light switch worked before the cabinets went in. Turns out it is a common problem since the screws for the cabinets are long. So for fixing this, and swapping out 220 circuit breaker for a 110 circuit breaker, I paid $240. read more

Albert and Arturo did a great job. I had some issues in my kitchen with breakers triggering and also needed a power source added in the ceiling for a light i plan to place. Great job, reasonable price, extremely professional and responsive. Thank you! read more

I had can lights installed on the front and sides of my home. The brightness and hue of the lights matched perfectly with my existing porch lights and ground landscaping lights. The lights are programmable to turn on automatically through a switch installed in my garage. The lighting looks very beautiful; not too bright and gives a good accent to the stone exterior of my home, as well as provide extra security, especially on the sides of the house. I am very impressed with their customer service and installation. They even came out the next day after the installation to adjust the intensity of the lights, since I wanted the lights set on the warmest/ dimmest setting. The price for the installation was very reasonable and competitive with other companies. I highly recommend the services of this company. read more

Alberto was awesome to work with! He was able to come out bright and early within two days of me messaging him for a quote. He was quick and did an awesome job communicating with me since I couldn't be at home while he was working. Looking forward to working with him again in the future! read more

Cannot say enough about Backup Electric. Alberto was very easy to communicate with on the Yelp app. He gave me what I believe was the most fair deal. He sent out on of his electricians, Luis, to install my ceiling fan. Unfortunately, Luis got sick the day he was suppose to come out, but Alberto was communicative and gave me multiple options. When he came out the next day, Alberto was on the phone with Luis throughout the installation to ensure smooth installation. When a problem did arise, Alberto again gave me multiple options. These guys are talented, respectful, and conscientious. They have my full endorsement. If any other electrical problems arise, I will be giving them a call. read more

We are generally do it yourselfers and don't hire contractors.. but when I needed to have can lights installed in a 15 foot ceiling without attic access - we decided to call Alberto at Backup.. and what a find he is!! First of all the rate was extremely reasonable- they showed up ON TIME and cleaned up after themselves. He listened to me and we got exactly what we wanted! I would highly recommend Backup Electric!!!! read more

It is SO hard to find an electrician who can actually take things apart and fix them - FOUND ONE! I did not want an electrician to just walk in and say - " just buy a new ceiling fan, etc.". I had a list of all minor electrical issues - prioritized! He worked the list and did what he could - helped me order the parts (on Amazon of all places) I needed and he will return when they are in to fix. Polite, on time, clean worker. Highly recommended! 832.335.5548 Alberto Martinez - backupelectric@gmail.com read more

I was using my 1,000 kW vacuum sealer in the garage and it tripped my circuit breakers. Albert was able to come the next day, a Sunday morning, and diagnose the problem. It was a simple resetting of the breaker, but I wanted a dedicated 20 amp breaker and outlet for the machine. He was able to work with the drywall and finish the job very cleanly and quickly. It took about an hour and was $140, including supplies, for the last minute job. He was super nice and friendly to boot. Highly recommended! read more

I called back up for a problem with a light that didn't want to turn on, Albert came and in like 20 min. Fixed the problem, and he even put the light fixture back together. He did a really clean job, fast, and he's also a really nice person. I will call them again for sure read more

I called Albert and scheduled him to diagnose two different electrical issues I had. He was able to schedule me within a few days, arrived on time, and completed work in just an hour. He was professional, thorough, and patient with all my questions. Never tried to upsell and resolved both issues for what I consider to be a more than fair price. Highly recommend. read more
