It's disappointing that these guys didn't measure up to the hype that the other reviewers raved about. We chose then because of the great Yelp reviews. Somebody came last week and checked the list of electrical work we needed done. He told my husband he's going to text the quote the following day. Fast forward to today (over a week later), we still haven't heard from them. My husband has called a few more times the last week and not a blip from them. I texted the owner's number last night and told him my hesitation in posting this negative review due to their extreme lack of communications. Still no response. As much as I like supporting local businesses, I'm also one who leaves reviews based on our experience (negative or positive). SES is the only business that I reached out to that called me back - and it was a quick call back. The young lady who returned my call was extremely kind, patient while I explained my outlet issue, and knew what I was trying to explain. She dispatched Dustin to look at the outlet issue and in less that 20 mins he had it fixed. I stressed about all this for nothing! Dustin is amazing! 5 stars to him and 5 to SES. *Edit* I'm updating the review to 4 stars per the quick response I got from the business owner and refund promise. I'm not going to give a 1 star review out of a fit of petulance because the guy did actually solve our two problems, but I really want to. We called out an electrician to look at a few problems. I was told "free estimates" by the lady on the phone. We had the electrician (Dustin) change out a burnt out outlet for $150 which we were told was the price before hand. Fair enough. We had also called him out to look at another problem of a buzzing light fixture. He took this down, basically said there was nothing wrong with it, and then we get told after the fact it will be $180 because he took it down to look at it. What part of that is "free estimate?" At a bare minimum free estimate should include advance warning of "by the way it's going to be $180 for me to touch this fixture and tell you if it's broken or not." But more accurately, free estimate explicitly means I'm *not* paying for someone's opinion. What else can it mean? If diagnostic costs something, you don't actually have free estimates because you can't give an estimate on repairs when you don't know what the needed repairs are yet! No matter what, it's beyond obnoxious to tell me only half the costs up front and then spring something that more than doubles the price at the end! If you guys want to charge a "come out" fee or a "diagnostic" fee or whatever, just be honest and charge that like everybody else does! And admit you do this! read more

If you're looking for electrical work, look no further! We had several lights that had gone out in our older home, including an outdoor security light. The fixtures were just old and worn out and needed replacement. Dustin is THE guy you want for the job! He was extremely nice and quoted us a reasonable price. From the time he arrived, ran to the store for parts and completed the job was less than 2 hours. I ask a LOT of questions and Dustin was very knowledgeable, polite and patient in answering them all. I'm always nervous hiring a new tradesman, but I will definitely call SES again for any electrical work. I imagine that SES would like to clone Dustin...he's that good! read more

We are really happy with these folks. Dean does a top-notch job and arrives on time and does the work quickly. The costs are extremely reasonable and I would not consider using anyone else for my electrical needs. I had a very good experience with SES. I needed a breaker replaced, and not only did he replace that breaker, he pulled all of the breakers off of my panel and inspected them, replaced a couple of additional breakers (at no extra charge) and rearranged some of the breakers to help extend the life of my panel. When it is time to replace my entire panel I will definitely call Dean! read more

Josh came out to look at a troublesome light fixture - actually a very expensive chandelier. All the circuits and power checked our - we were worried about an electrical arc or fire because it has intermittently failed to operate. He pinpointed the problem to suspect wiring in the fixture itself - in the fixture where the wires are all split to run to separate bulbs. He finished so quickly that he did not even want to charge me for his services, but I insisted I at least pay something for his time - he charged me for 1/2 a service call. He even took a look at my breaker box to give me some advice on a completely different question regarding voltage and current spikes that we have had in the past - and the pros and cons of a breaker box surge protector. Might be a good electrician, but don't bother calling if the job is more difficult than changing a switch or outlet, he may not respond. I needed a new underground cable installed, when he looked at the job, he acted like he wasn't interested. Then he didn't even bother to call back or send an estimate. I don't like being treated that way, all he had to do was be truthful and say he wasn't interested. I recommend going elsewhere. read more
