I'm giving 4 stars because the technician genuinely tried his best to get the fan installed and was professional throughout the process. Unfortunately, after cutting a couple of holes in the ceiling, it was determined that the fan couldn't be installed as originally planned. My biggest disappointment was the condition the work area was left in. Electrical plates were left off with wires exposed, there was a mess that wasn't cleaned up, and the boxes/materials were placed on the street when I had expected they would be hauled away. I also would have appreciated having things put back the way they were before they left. I understand that not every installation goes as planned, which is why I didn't rate them lower. The technician made a good-faith effort, but the cleanup and attention to detail at the end of the job fell short of my expectations. read more

I hate truly having electrical issues and panic to be honest. I put an inquiry on yelp for an electrician to look at our breaker since it was tripping due to our fridge. I appreciated this and booked his services. At the time of service, all work was done carefully and very meticulously. Greg (electrician) was great to work with, and he helped me select which circuits I wanted to use the transfer switch for and also walked me through the safe process of how to power down my main circuit board and transfer power via a generator. Tedrick did amazing from start to finish. I told him my specific issues and he was able to set up an appointment next day. He gave me a timeframe which he arrived within, and even let me know when he was on his way. He had to change 2 outlets to GFCI and 1 breaker to GFCI, he reviewed the outlets to see what exactly was needed, picked up the parts, and came back and installed them quickly. Upon his arrival, the associate, Brian, told me it's $100 more cause he is coming from Houston. I was surprise but I guess he saw my reaction and he changed the charge to $50. Hired TMU for several projects. I was initially pleased with their work until I had major problems over the summer with my breaker box. Tedrick came out and replaced some breakers; however, we continued having issues. I was finally told that we needed to upgrade our entire panel as well as upgrade our load. The price we were quoted was very high so we had to shop around before making a decision. Another electrician came out and explained that the load upgrade was completely unnecessary and that it looked like the work we paid TMU for previously wasn't done correctly. One of the breakers was replaced with a used breaker (we were charged full price as if it was new) and it was the wrong amp. I reached out to TMU about this and was told that their used parts came with warranties. I am no expert but is it normal to charge full price for used parts that you never even discuss with your client? He said he'd come out and replace it with a new part after I expressed my concern. He then ghosted me and I never heard from him again. We eventually hired another electrician and everything was resolved (without the expensive load upgrade TMU told me I needed). Honestly, I was super disappointed because I put my trust and faith in this company and in the end, I feel like we were preyed on because it was a house full of women at the time without the knowledge to question things appropriately. I had a switch here in my home that I'd been putting off replacing for some time. So, first, let me say, the work was fine. The guy who came out to do my work was great, the work appears to have been done well and the price was reasonable. But, communication has been touch and go. My initial message back from TMU said they could get to me "today", but then a technician reached out to me to say "tomorrow", which was a little annoying, but not actually important. Over the last two days I've contacted by no fewer than three people all identifying themselves with TMU who all seem unaware of what they others are doing. To their credit, they've all been very polite about the fact that the job is already done. I would readily use them again, but the experience has been a little weird. read more

Although I was extremely satisfied with the work done, I even gave them a Christmas gift. I was quoted $125 Flat Rate via message (which is also posted on his page). I was first told the boss would email me a bill, then told they requested cash and told the boss said $150. I asked for a receipt as this was home improvement and was told the boss would send in email of which I have yet to receive. Dishwasher keeps tripping breaker, dishwasher is brand new, it worked at other apartment, Issues Is still unresolved with breaker box. Breaker box seems to be the culprit with GFCI switches becoming sensitive. I ran dishwasher on a another outlet and worked.
