Job well done and technician was a good guy. Came in to inspect the situation before heading to home depot to get the supplies he needed without additional charge. read more

I'm giving 4 stars because the technician genuinely tried his best to get the fan installed and was professional throughout the process. Unfortunately, after cutting a couple of holes in the ceiling, it was determined that the fan couldn't be installed as originally planned. My biggest disappointment was the condition the work area was left in. Electrical plates were left off with wires exposed, there was a mess that wasn't cleaned up, and the boxes/materials were placed on the street when I had expected they would be hauled away. I also would have appreciated having things put back the way they were before they left. I understand that not every installation goes as planned, which is why I didn't rate them lower. The technician made a good-faith effort, but the cleanup and attention to detail at the end of the job fell short of my expectations. read more

I hate truly having electrical issues and panic to be honest. I put an inquiry on yelp for an electrician to look at our breaker since it was tripping due to our fridge. Tedrick was responsive, gave me a time frame of when he'd arrive, was up front about cost and kept me in the loop by explaining what he was doing when he was fixing the issue! As of right now, things are going well with our fridge and I have no complaints. Thank you for answering my questions while my husband was on a work call and helping us fix our problem! read more

I solicited an estimate to have a transfer switch installed via Yelp. Tedrick was one if the few who responded quickly, AND the only one to provide an estimate upfront. I appreciated this and booked his services. At the time of service, all work was done carefully and very meticulously. Greg (electrician) was great to work with, and he helped me select which circuits I wanted to use the transfer switch for and also walked me through the safe process of how to power down my main circuit board and transfer power via a generator. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a qualified electrician! read more

Tedrick did amazing from start to finish. I told him my specific issues and he was able to set up an appointment next day. He gave me a timeframe which he arrived within, and even let me know when he was on his way. He had to change 2 outlets to GFCI and 1 breaker to GFCI, he reviewed the outlets to see what exactly was needed, picked up the parts, and came back and installed them quickly. Quoted exactly what was charged, no bait and switch. Hands down the BEST electrician that I have dealt with in this area. I will recommend him to everyone who needs an electrician! read more

Excellent and prompt service. Tedrick was terrific. He not only installed my outdoor circuit breaker but also replaced outdated outdoor light with flood light. His pricing was reasonable. I'm am so pleased with the end result and will use his service in future projects. I am a single female and contractors often try to take advantage of that. Tedrick appears to be honest, Upfront, trustworthy all with a friendly smile. Thanks for helping remove one to do from my list. read more

Tedrick and his team did an amazing job for me! I needed some underground wiring ran and they got it knocked out in 2 days going into a holiday weekend. Reached out on Friday morning, he got someone out there within a couple hours to assess and give me a quote. We agreed, they started digging that afternoon. Saturday morning they were there early to get working and they were finished by 1:30 that afternoon. His pricing was good and the informed communication was much appreciated, will definitely be using him again for my electrical needs! read more

He quoted me $100 for updating the outlet for a new dryer and would do the job the next day. I agreed and his associate came the next day. Upon his arrival, the associate, Brian, told me it's $100 more cause he is coming from Houston. I was surprise but I guess he saw my reaction and he changed the charge to $50. I wanted to balked but I needed it done. So, I relented. The job was done but WILL NOT use this company again. Very deceiving practice!!! read more

I had a switch here in my home that I'd been putting off replacing for some time. So, first, let me say, the work was fine. The guy who came out to do my work was great, the work appears to have been done well and the price was reasonable. But, communication has been touch and go. My initial message back from TMU said they could get to me "today", but then a technician reached out to me to say "tomorrow", which was a little annoying, but not actually important. Over the last two days I've contacted by no fewer than three people all identifying themselves with TMU who all seem unaware of what they others are doing. To their credit, they've all been very polite about the fact that the job is already done. I would readily use them again, but the experience has been a little weird. read more

Hired TMU for several projects. I was initially pleased with their work until I had major problems over the summer with my breaker box. Tedrick came out and replaced some breakers; however, we continued having issues. I was finally told that we needed to upgrade our entire panel as well as upgrade our load. The price we were quoted was very high so we had to shop around before making a decision. Another electrician came out and explained that the load upgrade was completely unnecessary and that it looked like the work we paid TMU for previously wasn't done correctly. One of the breakers was replaced with a used breaker (we were charged full price as if it was new) and it was the wrong amp. I reached out to TMU about this and was told that their used parts came with warranties. I am no expert but is it normal to charge full price for used parts that you never even discuss with your client? He said he'd come out and replace it with a new part after I expressed my concern. He then ghosted me and I never heard from him again. We eventually hired another electrician and everything was resolved (without the expensive load upgrade TMU told me I needed). Honestly, I was super disappointed because I put my trust and faith in this company and in the end, I feel like we were preyed on because it was a house full of women at the time without the knowledge to question things appropriately. Shame on you. read more

I replaced an electric water heater and needed an electrician to bring the heater wiring up to Houston city code and then connect it to the heater. I requested quotes through Yelp and seven electricians responded. TMU responded the fastest and was the only one that gave an estimate. I decided to go with TMU. It was easy to communicate with Mr. Tedrick Underwood, the owner. He showed up on time and charged me $200 less that the quote. He was very friendly, respectful, and informative. Although I was extremely satisfied with the work done, I even gave them a Christmas gift. I was quoted $125 Flat Rate via message (which is also posted on his page). I was first told the boss would email me a bill, then told they requested cash and told the boss said $150. I asked for a receipt as this was home improvement and was told the boss would send in email of which I have yet to receive. Thrilled with the work, VERY disappointed with the office and paperwork follow up. read more

Communication is key! I went against my gut because the ratings were good. Come to find out, the day of our scheduled appointmnet the communication was poor. I had an 8am to 10am window that was scheduled on Tues for Fri.
