The True Protection alarm system gives me a sense of safety and security in my home.  The alarm system is just as safe as the burglar bars that were on my windows and doors before the new windows were installed which on the same day the alarm was installed. Alonse G installed my alarm system and I was really pleased.  He is indeed a professional subject matter expert.  Ask for him. When my husband and I bought our first home we knew we wanted home security asap. We researched all the top companies and couldn't find anything we liked. There was never one company that stood out from the rest. There were either very high installation fees or DYI installation with cheap products and always very mixed reviews. They were quick to follow up with me but the only thing thet cared was to sell me monthly subscription with 3 years contract. Asked them to come and fix exsting old system in return of a service fee they said they can't. Anyways all good, using Ring now and I am happy with it. So, this installation job was absolute trash. Among the problems, 1) he ran the UTP cabling(not UV rated) in the gutters exposed to the sun and debris that may wash down, 2) no drip loop was used causing rain water run into the home, and 3) two different cameras models were installed. Not mention that he pulled up shingles to run the cabling underneath! Ended up reinstalling everything properly. read more

Searched on google yesterday for the best local home security company & this company's name came up. I decided to leave the name & phone number on the website for a call back. Tim called back within 5 minutes, I was very impressed since I was extremely dissatisfied with the old company we had for the past 12 years (trying to get someone to come fixed faulty alarm and no one called back). Tim came by around 6pm, walked us through the system he had to offered, signed up with him right away & the new system was up & running by 10pm, talking about service!! And while we waited for the technician (Jes)to come since he was running behind from the multiple accidents on the way to our house, Tim texted me to let me know the entire time of what was going on. I really appreciated the personal service I received from him Now talking about the alarm itself. The service came with 3 different tiers, the basic ($35), the basic home automation($40) and their top of the line (over $100). First I was thinking of getting the basic but decided to go the $40 package for the ability to arm & unarm the alarm from the iPhone. Later on I'm planning to add the A/C control & front door lock to the package for a $1 more per month. I'm extremely satisfy with the value & service the I received from Tim & Jes, this is the only company I will recommend anyone who are in the market from the service. We needed an upgrade to our security system, so I did my research and chose 3 to call and shop. Homestar had the best price with local service. Given all of the positive reviews, I chose to have Tim come to my home and price it out for me. After meeting him and hearing more about the company, I called him back on a Saturday. Jes came to install their system on Monday. He was very careful and tested our old system completely. I also had him install 2 thermostats and light switches to automate my home. The wiring for the switches was difficult, but he did not complain and got everything running perfectly. It's been 8 months and the system has worked flawlessly. The home automation is awesome.
