Pork with brussel sprouts and savory bread pudding
    Rachel B.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely little upscale restaurant in an old house. Very cozy autumn decor, romantic low lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was wonderful, she helped me choose my entree when I was torn between two. I ended up having the pork with brussel sprouts, savory bread pudding and maple glazed apples. Delicious and a good portion, which was needed because my husband got the fish and his was a much smaller portion. Luckily I had enough to share so he didn't leave hungry. Just be aware if you order a fish entree, it may be a smaller portion. Dessert was an apple crisp using apples from a local farmers market that we like to go to, so of course it was delightful.

My wife and I came here for our (un)lucky 13th anniversary. It was very busy so a reservation is definitely advised. We both started off with the French onion soup. For an entree, my wife chose the parsley crusted cod. It was very light. The crust added some nice texture to the dish. I went with the 15oz ribeye cooked medium rare. It was very juicy, requiring little work with a steak knife. The Parmesan crusted potatoes were excellent. For dessert, we split the apple crisp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very old, with hardwood floors and exposed bean ceilings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cellular coverage is almost nonexistent inside but they do provide guest WiFi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Enjoyable evening with friends. Beautiful old upscale restaurant. Polite & efficient but not really friendly service. Very good food.

Always good food, didn't deviate from my usual, Rueben and onion rings. I did however eat the whole thing this time. Reservations are nice to have.

Love this place my honey takes us here to treat us to oysters which we love but we finally try some new dishes. The beef carpaccio was delicious. The poached lobster freaking melts in your mouth. The steak, the marinated steak with the frites was amazing however had to take it home too many appetizers make me full quick !

Have been here a great deal and used to enjoy it. Arrived at the almost empty restaurant for our reservation and kindly asked for a new table after being brought to a very undesirable one. Asserting that other tables were "reserved," the staff grudgingly offered us a table in the main area with the condition of vacating within an hour to an hour and a half, despite our reservation. This and the disingenuous claim on their Resy regarding the inability to honor seating requests, left a bitter taste of dishonesty and preferential treatment. An unwelcoming atmosphere and dismissive service-- we will not be back.

There is new ownership recently, and they kept much of the original menu as well as adding some new dishes. Recent experience wasn't great... Service really suffering, took 20 minutes to get our first drink. Also - the cocktail pours are extremely light for what they are charging. Food was OK... Pizza has always been very good here but recently they just don't seem to season it at all. Two of us ordered the fish of the day @$39...small piece of cod, and just four pieces of potato ...meaning two small potatoes cut in half...and mine was actually missing the sauce. I'm not sure how that dish leaves the kitchen in a restaurant that is supposed to be of high caliber. They need to do better.

We had a 7 PM reservation on a Wednesday night, and the place and parking lot were packed! Good sign to start! To begin, I enjoyed the Ruby grapefruit mocktail. Although I'd love trying new and unique cocktails at different establishments, I was in the mood for something light and refreshing and nonalcoholic. This hit just a spot. For food, we started off with the margherita pizza to share. Then, I opted for the crispy, buttermilk chicken sandwich with malt vinegar, potato wedges/fries. It was very delicious. The sandwich was crispy and fresh and the bun looked like it was handcrafted. The malt fries were unique because they had a vinegar powder on them. I've never tasted malt vinegar before, and it was a unique texture. Our waitress was very friendly, but I wish she had been a bit more attentive. She only stopped by to ask us for our drink order, our food order, and to give the check. My friends wanted to order more drinks, but because she did not come around as frequently as we would have liked, they were unable to place another order. I will give her the benefit of the doubt, however, because the restaurant was bustling from start to finish. Overall, very nice setting and meal. Cute decor, including an Anthony Bourdain abstract portrait.

The interior is bright and contemporary with a farmhouse vibe. Plus plenty of perfectly positioned screens to watch your favorite game. The service was on point for the most part. Our server was great but I think he was working too many tables bye himself so we kinda missed the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. We are definitely adding Black Rabbit to our regular rotation. Give it a try.

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!
