I loved this place! I am usually in the area to visit nearby farms with the kids. I had five picky kids with me and needed to feed them all. We came here and the place didn't disappoint. There was indoor and outdoor seating and beautiful views. They were also very patient with my playful, picky group of children (ages 5-10). I ordered two personal pizzas for them and they ended up finishing one of them. We took one pizza to go. Overall, we paid $80 for 3 adults and 5 kids. Nobody left hungry and we even had leftovers. It is also a nice place to watch a game. A soccer game was on TV while we were there. Overall - we will be back and highly recommended if in the area! It's not in the pictures, but we also ordered a burger, wings and mozzarella sticks. Everyone enjoyed the food. read more

I really wanted to like this place, the service (witness was very kind and helpful. The food however seemed like it was heated up and not great. It does have outdoor seating if it's still nice out and it's very easy to get to. Wish I could say it's great but will be looking at other places in the area. Maybe focus on less items and specialize in a few things to make it better in the future read more

Wonderful placem.. friendly good service. And willing to modify preparation based on dietary needs (dressingvonvthe side, gluten-free fiets). We will definitely visit sgain! read more

I keep hearing the food here is good but that wasn't my experience. I ordered a salad that came with grilled chicken but it was pretty gross. The chicken was old, or overcooked, or something. It was rubbery and had no flavor. The prices are good, luckily, so I only wasted $20 bucks on a disgusting salad (which was really 99% lettuce) with 'grilled chicken" read more

Food service and ambulance is great, super fast bartender, he has a great memory, highly recommend the place.

Food is pretty much the quaility you expect for price so it's really not bad at all. Probably more of a football bar night restaurant more than a family sit in (it gets pretty loud), overall tho enjoyed it service and atmosphere was good. read more

Food was exceptional for a local pub. The burgers and wings were delicious. Service was good but still has a bit of room of improvement for attentiveness. The ambiance was better than expected - newer, clean and no bad odor. read more

First time trying the restaurant and was very disappointed. Our appetizers included mussels with beards and very undercooked calamari. The tomato sauce on the pasta and eggplant was bland and almost straight from a can. read more

I went here with some friends. We grabbed a table in the bar area. There were no servers in the bar area. You had to walk up to the bar, order your drinks and carry them back to your table. The bartender was friendly but I'm not sure why there wasn't a server. All the patrons were friendly also. We did get some food to eat. The menu had many options. For an appetizer we ordered the boneless buffalo wings. They were good except the bartender told us they did not have any more boneless wings and we had to substitute regular wings. We went with the regular wings and they were good. My dinner came with a salad and I ordered the house dressing. The greens were fresh and crisp and the dressing was good. For dinner I ordered the blackened chicken with pasta. It was on the special menu. What impressed me most about the dish was the pasta was cooked perfectly. The dish was much better than I expected. The guys I was with enjoyed their dishes also and agreed a 3 start rating would be appropriate. read more

Stopped in this place for the first time last night. Really liked the vibe, tremendous pub food, told my girlfriend this is easily a place I'd come back to. Met the owner Tim, he was cordial, i liked him. Finishing our meal at the bar my Girlfriend asked me a political opinion and in normal soft conversational tones answered her question. Now here's where the night fell off a Cliff. Tim very seriously told me the bar is non political and I was not to discuss politics there. I honestly waited for the laugh as I though it was a joke. It was not. I was and remain shocked. The country was founded on people in bars discussing politics. How dare he tell me what to discuss while patronizing his business. Never again. I suggest you spend your shrinking dollar wisely. Off to Google review. read more

I have never been here before but what a perfect place to stop at. Our waitress was amazing and had a great attitude; also, quick and great with recommendations for food. Awesome atmosphere and seriously amazing food. The rolls they give you are heavenly, once you get those you know you're in for a treat. 100% would recommend! read more

We come here for the awesome bartender. Happy Hour & Sundays are great. Affordable, tasty food. Cheap drinks. Clean place. I like it. But beware... as another Yelper said, it's definitely a "regulars" place. You *WILL* stick out... read more

Gordon Ramsey... please come and save this place. I am convinced the food was gathered from another crappy restaurant's dumpster. The waitress was attentive and professional but there was no point in her asking us how we wanted our burgers. They came out overcooked and tasteless. We spent 1.5 hours in the place and I did not see the manager speak to his staff once. They all just seem to avoid and not make eye contact. Go for the locals bar, but eat before you go. Do not recommend. read more

After spending all day in the nature, visiting beautiful lake, river and parks in the area, we were starving. Officer in the state park recommended Long Valley restaurant and we decided to give it a try. The menu looked promising, it was hard to decide what to order. For appetizer we shared mozzarella sticks, fried calamari and chicken cordon blue bites. We could choose 3 for $8 or $9. Fried calamari were horrible, couldn't eat them, they were far from being fresh. The worst ones I ever tried. Mozzarella sticks and chicken bites were better, but nothing special. Frozen and microwave reheated. For main course I decided to play it safe with All American burger. My husband got pasta with shrimps and scallops. My burger was tasteless. After adding a lot of ketchup, salt and pepper, it was still really bad. I only ate half of it. Pasta with shrimps and scallops- just blah. It seems that they don't have fresh food at all. I bet they use the microwave more then anything else. The service was okay. I wonder if the good reviews are from friends and family. A restaurant should cook freshly made food, not buy frozen food that anyone can just put in a microwave and have it ready to eat in few minutes. read more

The best place in town. Great food great service and great owners and staff. Great local pub

Chicken parm sandwich Was good, but nothing special. The fries were beer battered and Delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly and relatively quiet. The waitstaff was quick and on top of things for our table of 5. The draft beer selection was small and they were out of the Sam seasonal and Blue Moon making the selection smaller still, but the price of the beer was decent at $3.50 a pint and I thoroughly enjoyed my Brooklyn summer ale. read more

This is the best place I have eaten lunch at in a long time. You can sit outside and enjoy the serene view or inside in the pub. We loved the many menu choices and especially enjoyed the twisted mac and cheese and the prime rib sliders.... WOW! And, you can relax outside with a beer or a beverage from the bar. It was so good, we went back the following week and brought friends. read more

We love this place. Great people, both behind the bar and in front of it. Good selection of beers. They are open for outdoor dining on the patio!! We tried the raw seared yellow tuna salad tonight for the first time. It was seared just right and the lemon vinaigrette was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. read more

Do not come! Worst service ever! Took over 1 and half hr for our order to come out, was not busy at all and other tables that came after us were served before. Waitress did not even apologized or let us know about our order. She brought only one salad after more than an hour wait. Never coming back! read more

been there 100 times.....literally.....always consistently good.....getting a seat at the bar requires a strategy..... some folks stand behind you waiting for you to leave....which is rude but not the bars fault.....be great if they extended the bar in front of the beer coolers to get another 5-6 seats in. great job , Tim as always over 100 times over 20 years. read more

Just had another great meal at Valley Pub. This time Buffalo Chicken wrap. Not only was it so good. It was quick. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would totally recommend this wrap. The atmosphere was warm and friendly prefect after a long day. read more

This is hands down the place to be in Long Valley. The service is fast and friendly. The menu has endless options for American Italian and even Mexican options. In the bar area in a booth which has a view of Schooleys Mountain (which was the reason we came to Long Valley). Bar had a lot of people and it was late afternoon. My wife had a twisted Mac and cheese on the specials. It has ham and some sort of gouda cheese sauce. It was outrageous! I had the 16 oz Prime Rib which felt like 2lbs when she handed it to me. It was the best cut of beef i have ever had in my life. You could tell this is a process they have perfected over many years and I don't know anywhere else around you can find home cooked comfort food like they have here. Me and my wife plan on making this place our date night spot for sure. Oh and did I mention. The bar has 1.85 mugs of beer all the time!! Wow read more

This is the absolute most prime example of a restaurant that checks every box...service, value, quality, cleanliness all in a "Cheers" type non pretentious environment. We were blown away and will be back asap read more

Had the appetizer trio with mac n cheese bites, spicy popcorn chicken and chicken cordon blue bites...all seemed as though they were purchased at BJs. The cordon blue bites were gross. Ordered the hickory burger and am perplexed as to how it had no flavor, but it did. My daughter had the chicken tenders and they were average. The service was great and they were very attentive. The place was LOUDat dinner time. We sat in a booth and had a hard time hearing one another. read more

No changing tables in either men's or women's restroom. I ordered a special, yellow tail tuna served on a salad. Both items were okay individually but didn't make much sense served together. It was essentially lightly seasoned seared yellow tail tuna served on top of an Italian salad. Service was good. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite after our annual pumpkin picking excursion. Beers were very reasonably priced and the food was priced decent too. The bartender poured a beautiful, perfect, pint of Guinness. We had a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms. It was made on garlic bread. So good! We also had chilli cheese dogs that were on special. Very good chilli and perfectly soft buns. They even had a nice hot sauce selection which we enjoyed. We will definitely come back. read more

Absolutely the best food I've had in a long time. Stopped in for a girls night, and was amazed at the quality! I got the Tortellini Alfredo and it was awesome! The portion size was huge and the sauce was so creamy and cheese-y. Yum! We also got the mac and cheese gouda bites which were out of this world! Topped it off with a couple of signature cocktails, perfectly mixed, made our night. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, fast service and a friendly atmosphere. read more

This is my fiance and mine favorite place to hang out on a "Sunday Funday". They have great bar specials during football games and the bartender, Melinda is great! The Valley is the "Cheers" of Long Valley. The Family vibe and the over the top service of all employees makes this place a total hidden gem. Locals and even newcomers are welcomed just the same. Met a friend for dinner here after work. I had never been but had heard the food was good. And it was great! Got the Mac and Cheese Gouda bites for an appetizer...amazing! Probably my favorite Mac and cheese bites ever. Then I got the cheesesteak for dinner. That was excellent as well. The drink menu is impressive. The specialty cocktails are ones you don't see everywhere. I ordered the mariachi margarita. Peach schnapps and crème de cassis. Delicious! Not too sweet and also not too sour. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to go in the area! read more

Celebrated Mother's Day a day early with my wife because of our schedules and the Valley did not disappoint. With everything going on, obviously dine in was not an option but our take out meals were very good. They also delivered, which most places don't currently, allowing us to stay home. The portions were huge and we actually had some leftovers to enjoy again. Hopefully everything clears up soon and we will be able to dine in. Woman on the phone was nice and explained other meal options and side replacements. read more

C'mon reviewers .... I have been here about half a dozen times in the past year... on the way home from work, on a Sunday afternoon, meeting a friend for dinner. I've sat at the bar and a table. The service is great, the atmosphere friendly. The food is pretty good (REALLY GOOD for a local spot) --meaning-- If you want the Four Seasons from a pub in your neighborhood then move to manhattan and pay for that. If you want a reasonable place for good food and service, go here. read more

Service is great. Decent beer selection. Food is tasty but portions and presentation are pretty disappointing. I ordered a burger with blue cheese. It came out it was literally a bun, burger patty, and a little blue cheese on a plate! Not so appetizing. I ordered it medium rare it came out medium-well. There was no lettuce no tomato no pickle nothing. Needless to say I was disappointed when it arrived, but after I ate it since I was so hungry, I was satisfied. Pro tip: tell them exactly what you want on your plate! read more

I was married close by, so my wife and I stop here to grab a bite to eat. Reasonably priced meals for the area, service is good. Granted, I've never been here when it was busy. So if you're looking for a quick bite, and some drinks, this is okay to stop and eat. read more

This place is a legit local hot spot. I can't jump to call it a dive, as has been suggested in prior reviews, though it does emanate that. To me, a dive is a bit crustier on the service and homier on the atmosphere. This bar and restaurant is very townie. The few times I've been here, the bar seating has been fully packed by regulars, and the outdoor smoking area well attended. The drink prices are kind of ridiculously cheap-if you drink during happy hour, or any time at the bar, draft beers (not sure if all of them?) are like under $2 per mug, which I'm estimating is a full 12oz mug. The food. Well the food is mediocre bar food, though still very satisfying if you have that expectation. I think this place is the perfect place to come for a ridiculously cheap and simple bite to eat. I have to give an extra shout out to the staff for being really, really friendly and providing quick and efficient service. I will be back on the select occasion when I am in the mood for cheap beer and townie traditions. read more

Back room acoustics suck. You cannot hear the person right next to you talk. So much echo and very loud.
