Tesla Paramus is a nightmare - a total zoo with no one in charge. I had an appointment to turn in my Model 3 after lease expiration, and after waiting 45 minutes past my scheduled drop off time, with them repeatedly saying "you're next", I told them I couldn't wait all day and had to leave. The b*tch working there (short one with the limp) actually had the gall to say "you're going to be charged if you leave". Can you imagine that - they won't let me turn in the car and then want to charge me for not turning it in. Total clowns including the little guy who sits behind the desk against the south wall. And no managers in sight - none are reachable via phone or email. A complete nightmare. Would strongly advise against ever buying from or dealing with Paramus Tesla. read more

After a month I finally got to bring the model x plaid back in and after dealing with the rudest employees who all talked down to me, they had my car for another three weeks and found a dead opossum in the rocker panel. read more

We picked up our used car the first week of October and weren't told anything about the process of getting paperwork afterwards. We literally dropped off two bank checks for payment, and were told "Your car is at one of the chargers, go ahead and take a look at it. If it meets to your satisfaction, you can drive it home." Three weeks later, no registration packet mailed to us (we found out through the app that one would be mailed) so we call to see where the packet is. That is when we were told Tesla Paramus LOST OUR BANK CHECKS so they didn't apply payment or mail the registration packet. Meanwhile we had the car?! Now WE have to get our bank to stop payment on the bank checks and wait for Tesla to sign off on the stop payment before my bank will prepare new checks. They don't respond to emails and it is almost impossible to get someone on the phone. I will never buy a used Tesla from Paramus Tesla again. This is a total nightmare. Picked up our Model 3 on 6/24/21. Had 1 Temporary plate on the rear. On 7/13 21 we recived a Toll by Mail from Port Authority that we went thru Holland Tunnel on 6/9/21 and 6/13/21 and need to pay those charges. The picture they showed was mot a Tesla. It appear that there is someone at the dealership that is using or giving the 2nd temp to use. Get both Temps when you pick up your vehicle. read more

Tesla Paramus is the absolute worst. I suddenly lost my power steering, took in my car, they promised to fix it, but they couldn't recreate the issue, and the customer lies, do they didn't. Than a key fob malfunctioned, they wouldn't replace it because there was dust on the inside. And I needed my sensors replaced, but they refused, sent me to a body shop. But the kicker, I come to pick up my car and the door is open, won't close, I inquire about it, they said they checked the logs and the door was indeed opened many times in the last 5 days, I know, but now it won't close, even though it's technically closed, and I can't use autopilot because I'm driving with an open door There's no customer, and there's no service. read more

I want to start off by saying I love the Tesla brand overall and the car, but this location's customer service is just appalling. I waited a long time to think about what I will write for this review as there's a lot to go into here. I'm disappointed to see so many negative reviews regarding customer service for this location and no one is responding to them to fix the issue. I ordered my car back in September 2019. I received my car at the start of 2020. My car was delivered to this location and I went to pick up my car in the very small window they gave me. It was dark out and no one took their time to go over the car with me. When I had a question they just said "you'll get a hang of it". There ended up being a couple factory defects in the paint/body of the car. The following morning the manager offered to put touch up paint on it but was making it clear that that's all they could do. They also emphasized that if I don't like that option I can return the car and wait on the waiting list all over again and lose my deposit. After many discussions with the top managers at this location, they ended up offering me the weather floor mats but even that was a struggle. With the factory defects and touch up paint still being present on my brand new vehicle, I ended up contacting another Tesla location 1 hour away and after walking them through my whole situation they ended up getting my car fixed at their cost but it was at a body shop near them. I was thankful, but this was very stressful to have to coordinate these repairs with a different Tesla location an hour away. In addition to the factory defects, there were some questions I had that no one at the Paramus location could answer. Come to find out no one who works here actually has a Tesla themselves, so they don't understand these specific questions. I would think they spent extensive time with these cars and could answer questions about them. There was a clear plastic film left on my windows which made it looks like they had swirl marks. Before I knew the film was there, I brought the car to the Paramus location multiple times to ask what this was. On the 3rd visit another Tesla customer walked over and said the same thing happened to his car and when he brought it to a 3rd party auto shop they found out it's the factory film that they forgot to remove. The film took 5 minutes to remove. The store manager didn't even apologize and just was silent taking the film off. If you're experiencing the same thing I would suggest just keep asking if the associate you're dealing with has a supervisor and contacting another location. read more

I started my application to finally join Tesla and was approved two weeks ago. I was working with Marc in regards to lowering the down payment or attempting to find another solution and his lack of customer service made me decide to stay with my vehicle. Service team does its best because they are overloaded, but honestly I cannot recommend getting a Tesla. Multiple problems over the course of 3 years that render the car either comically unsafe or downright un-drivable. Windows started opening out of nowhere during snowfall on the highway at night with my kids and wife in the vehicle on an hour long drive back home. Tried hard resetting, tried using phone app to close windows, tried powering the screen off on the side of the rode. Tried hard resetting again. Nothing. Car phone key won't interact with vehicle, Airplane mode, then uninstalled the app and installed it again on two separate devices (iPhone and Google Pixel 7). Car key cards won't work either to lock/unlock the car. Car is now locked, unable to get into, in my parking lot. 2019 RWD Standard Range Plus Model 3 with 65k miles on it. And it's now become a $40,000 paperweight. Well, KBB value $25,000 paperweight. Do not recommend. This is about a year and a half after the car would randomly stop in the middle of the highway during cruise control with no other cars in sight, or the steering wheel would "gently" try to move you out of danger...but often times would try to steer you into objects instead. Extremely dangerous. Beautiful car...when it's working. Insane that I'm constantly going back to a 2008 Rav 4 to get me to where I need to go. More than double the mileage of my Model 3 and the only time it ever failed me was when an Auto Zone employee put a car battery in backwards. Even then I got it fixed within 36 hours and I still drive it with zero issues. read more

They worked on wheel alignment and cant get it to go straight. Went in to get alignment fix and came out with the car veering off right. Went back in and now it was veering to the left due to overcompensating the fix done earlier. Now the steering wheel isn't positioned right and it is tilted to the left when the car wants to go straight. They just don't have the right ppl in there or just doing a bad job cuz they don't have competition. I will need to bring this up to the right ppl... read more

Would've been a one star due to a female employee (Sam) there for being super unprofessional, saying " its not going to speed anything up by standing in the show room". basically implying for me to go sit down. Gave us no updates while we waited for hours. we had to personally ask other busy employee's there to go retrieve her. Their Lead manager however, was super professional and despite me ranting and being rude he never stooped to my level and actually made me realize i was being stupid. we need more people like that man, truly a super professional. read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Tesla showroom inside the Garden State Plaza mall. The associates there helped me choose the perfect Tesla Model S for my needs. Unfortunately the green paint went away in 2014, but that's to be expected. Their upcoming rides such as the Tesla Cybertruck and all new Tesla Roadster are something to consider in the future. Always a madhouse, but that's good for Tesla I guess haha. I prefer this service/sales center to Springfield as even though it's a couple miles further, it's actually a more convenient location to get to. As far as sales and service experiences go, they don't always hit the mark on the first try (which is why it's not a 5-star place), but they always make it right and are earnestly interested in making sure you're happy (which is why it's not less). This service center also has a supercharger, which is convenient, but it's also quite busy (although I imagine it won't be as bad when the other recently constructed ones open). All in all, good people here. Very helpful, and of course awesome cars :) read more

AWFUL! I traded in a 2016 Model S for a 2018 Model X. I took delivery on February 15th and as of today March 11th, I still don't have the paperwork to register my vehicle in my home state. Despite numerous phone calls and emails, I have not received any response. I would never again purchase another Tesla after this experience. I love the vehicle but I don't love the customer service, especially since I will have a $90K vehicle that I cannot drive because I don't have the paperwork to register it. read more

Delivery scheduling team is JERKS. I had horrible experience with them. I have been waiting for my vehicle for month and they gave me 3 days to pick up; date mon, tue, wed which I am unable to pick up the vehicle due to work schedule and asked for a day earlier or 2 days later. They simply told me it cannot be done, and cancelled delivery while I am trying to sort out my days. Now they put me in back of line and have to wait again many months. On top of that now have to reapply for the loan (interest rate is going up) and rearrange insurance. I never been jerked around this bad. read more

So I am a big fan of Tesla. But not of the delivery people. Please, please double, triple check your order and financing. They only care about the super wealthy, rich people here. If you are not one of them, they literally throw you to the gutter. I was the first owner of a Model S P85D in NJ.Then Model S P100D and then Model X. A Model 3 RWD and recently Model 3 AWD. The cars, the man, the legend. David vs Goliath. I love these things about Tesla. So does everyone. Clearly 5 cars. Obvious. My first car experience was at Springfield. That's where I got my P85D. It was such a nice experience and everyone there was welcoming. They informed me every step of the way, and let me know what I would be responsible for and what I needed to bring with me. I received my car, my dog even came. They took pictures of us both, was a great experience and brought me closer to thinking Elon was a God. The car was amazing and I was so happy to be driving it and contributing to add miles of knowledge for future updates and improvements. Fast forward 4 years and I wanted the Model 3, but in AWD. This time, in Paramus was the worst service ever. I was sent the documents via email which I didn't read, as was the case with the last 4 cars because I trusted the company, but during the process they told me 3-4 thousand in addition to my initial deposit. This time the delivery specialist came to my parent's house. I had my old Model 3 and he and I discussed um.... nothing. Delivery team prior said, hey your a veteran right, you dont need us to tell you anything. I was taken aback, but I said okay. Famous last words. Instead of the down payment being 3,500. Which is exactly what the delivery specialist had told me. They ended up taking 34,500 out 3 days later. Yes it was in my email. But who puts 34,500 or half down on a car. And they had told me the loan would be 3-5k. It was my fault for not looking thoroughly at the emails. The rest of the amount 22k was financed through US Bank. How ridiculous, who would put down 40k, for a 60k car. You might as well pay the whole thing. But I trusted these fools. When I put in the amount with the delivery specialist on mytesla.com it was for 3,450. And he looked it over and said cool. Cool. Yup. Thats right. On Friday. Beginning of May. When my bank account went negative 3 days later, I obviously put a stop payment on it on Monday. When it ended up being 34,500. And I called Aleks, the delivery specialist. He messaged me that he was off Monday and to call the Paramus center. I called and told them what was going on. They said they would do research and get back to me. I waited 3 days, nothing. Messaged Aleks again. Nothing. He said 2 days after they were looking into it with corporate. I messaged him a 3rd time a week later, and he said the same thing. Now it is the 22nd June Saturday morning and I get an email from Tesla Paramus and they said, can you pay the balance. I responded and said I think I owe 3450. They (Shane at Paramus) said, sure if thats what you think you owe. I found this very odd, since there would not even be a receipt? or Bill? So I called and spoke with Shane who did some "research" and called me back and said I owed Tesla the 34,500 and I should have looked at my emails. This never happens, your a first time case. Blaming me over and over and over again. Threatened me... Told me they would not do registration and impound the car. A 5-Time Tesla car buyer. With zero issues with the company. He also yelled at me and basically said I was poor when I told him, why would anyone put down 60% for a car, when you are financing it, especially when you have no negative equity. He went on to tell me there are people who pay for the car in full. I said, they must be rich and he said a lot of people do. When I told him I am not one of those rich people he said well, a lot of people put down half. Basically insinuating I was not the "type" of person that would buy a Tesla. Even though he knew it was my fifth car. And not once did he apologize for the confusion or share some empathy with the experience I had. No, Shane was right. You be quiet child. You should be lucky, I'm even talkin' to you. I asked if I could restructure the loan, to which he said, call US Bank, I have other people waiting for me. Let us know when you want to pay it. And hung up. I decided to use a LOC I had available and pay the car. I called Tesla today 6/24 and asked for Shane. The guy who picked up (Sean) said he was off, and said to wait while he spoke to a manager. He gets back on the line. So... do you want to do an ACH payment now or you coming in to give us the check. No sorry, for the inconvenience or the fact that I typed in 3,450 with specialist looking and was charged 34,500. Sure.. when someone calls and says sorry. He (Sean) then threatened me that we will not register your car. And it will be repossessed & impounded. Gee Golly Tesla. Thanks read more

After reading all the horrible reviews I was a little concerned about bringing my Tesla in for service. As it turns out, the worst part of it was the traffic on Rt. 17. I was taken on time, checked in quickly by Nikolai, and went for a quick road test drive with technician Manny. I had been told there was a loaner car ready for me, but Manny thought he could address the problems when we got back, and gave me an estimate of how long it might take. Rather than take the loaner and have to return tomorrow, I chose to wait a bit and see how the service went. Work on my two car problems was completed in about 45 minutes, and I was on my way home! Many thanks to Manny and Nikolai for their professional and expedient help in getting me out so quickly. One more comment, I found the two gentlemen working the check-in desk to be helpful and efficient. All in all, a very satisfactory experience. read more

Ordered a car from Tesla at the show room on the website with Sales associates help. Took 4 weeks to deliver car; which was expected. The car got to the dealership and i received a call the day before pickup from Shane, who said the car was not ready and had significant damage to one of the doors. He said he could find me another car in their network. I declined as the Model Y, I priced was the one I wanted, as anyone would. Another 4 weeks have gone by, no call, no follow up, no date on when i will be getting my car. Terrible customer service. I dont even think there are any managers i can escalate this to. What an woeful experience!!! I took time to review this shop/store because the difference in customer care is made by humans. So, with couple of weeks in advance, I scheduled a test drive for Model X. I confirmed it, reconfirmed it, I went in person, I showed my driving license, I let them know that I am able to leave a check as a deposit if it's needed and I wait for the date. The appointment was for 11.30 on April 13th and I supposed to go back for an overnight test drive. Cool. Guess what?! Couple of days after I went in person, I received an email that asked me to reconfirmed the appointment, I called back the guy, Jamie Long. He send me a link where I can rent the car, in order to have my test drive with the Tesla Model X. The distance to go and rent the car was 44 miles away from my home, while this location was only 7 miles. To rent the car the cost is $359/day. Whatever. Bad delivery experience, the car I picked up was damaged. No one gives you a good orientation on the car. I thought they were going to take care of all the issues they promised to resolve and never heard back from them. After chasing after them I received an email written by someone who is illiterate telling me to contact their Brooklyn store. I asked someone else who got a Tesla in Maryland asking how their orientation was and I was told no one showed them how to use the car as well. read more

I had a wonderful experience when I was researching my car purchase. I walked into a show room in late October 2019, was greeted promptly and was test driving within 10 minutes. Post test drive, the young saleswoman ( I have forgotten her name) walked me through the online purchase then gave me her cell phone in the event that I required pre-delivery assistance. Prior to placing the order, I called her on at least three occasions and left messages with questions. Each time, she called back within 24 hours. The delivery scheduling was seamless and my check out orientation was pretty thorough. Since taking delivery in late December, I have called the dealership twice with questions and each call has been answered quickly and very professionally. I have no complaints or even negatives to reports. read more

This place is ALWAYS packed. It's easy to see why, they make amazing cars. You can spend hours here checking out the cars in the showroom, messing with every option in these cars. Haven't had my car serviced here yet so can't really say how that is. I will say though that they need to add more superchargers, which is one of the reasons for my 3 star review. There are 10 superchargers and they are always filled. This area has tons of Teslas, so to not have more superchargers here in this area is crazy. The next closest is in Yonkers and they have 18 superchargers! C'mon Tesla! read more

Travelling cross country to get home and got routed to stop here. Stopped in for the bathroom (at 3pm) and the door was locked when I tried to leave. They were closing early for snow. I specifically asked them to let my husband use the bathroom quickly before they left and he said "ok, but we're leaving soon." However, when he got to the door the man locked it in his face and scampered away. read more
