I love the cozy atmosphere of this place. The aesthetic design and lighting of the restaurant makes it such a nice place for dinner with friends or family. I went here w my partner the other day for the first time and we got the meatballs for an app. Our server informed us this was a new menu item and to be honest I really hope they keep it because it just may be the best meatballs I've ever had. Me and my partner were in awe of how soft and delicious they were! We also got the gnocchi and pizza for our mains which were also quite good. I thought both dishes were perfectly cooked and decently filling. Definitely a spot I'll go to again!

It's become a tradition where the day I land in Toronto, my boyfriend & I go to Terroni for dinner. Different locations, different groups of friends but we always start with Espresso martinis & one of us always gets the Branzino. This time, we met up with his brother & wife & it seemed like we ordered 1 of everything & everything was delicious! Salad, pizza, pasta & the branzino, all perfect!

Gord and I had supper last evening on the patio at Terroni.. The wine list is quite extensive so we asked for help. Oliver was great and recommended the 2021 Riesling, Ravenna IGT, 'Ciarla', Fondo San Giuseppe. It was quite intense at first but mellowed out nicely. Thanks, Oliver! Gord ordered Spaghetti al Limone (spinach, parmigiano shavings, capers, onion and lemon). I ordered a Sophia pizza (tomato, mozzarella and sweet genoa salame). Both were good! Issy, our server, was friendly and took good care of us. Thanks, Issy!

I've been to Terroni on two occasions and specifically the Queen st location and the food has consistently been good. I got pastas on both occasions and they're tasty. The pasta you can tell is made in house, but was a bit on the saltier side for my taste. I can't say it's the best I've ever had but definitely solid in comparison to many Italian places in Toronto that I've been to. The atmosphere is good and it's a great place to grab dinner and catch up with a few friends. Service is friend, it wasn't too busy when I went both times, but I did fine them a bit pushy. Maybe it was just the server being attentive, but we had no issues staying to chit chat. Overall would come again.

Visited Terroni under the recommendation of our Airbnb host. Definitely a more upscale dining experience. I would recommend making a reservation online just to be safe, though we were able to make one with very short notice (less than half an hour in advance). The service was quick and friendly. The drinks were tasty. I ordered the Ravioli di zio paperone, which was fresh and had a strong duck flavor. My boyfriend got the Pappardelle alla iosa, which was not great. The noodles were all stuck together and the ingredients did not taste cohesive. Both plates had tasty mushrooms and came with a basket of yummy bread. The meal is worth the price if you order the right things, so I would consult reviews or your waiter for recommendations.

I've been going to Terroni in LA for years and was excited to stop by another location. Not sure if they mention this to everybody but it was explicitly told at check in that I could only be at the table for 1.5 hours, despite there being many empty tables when I arrived and when I left. Felt a bit rushed before even sitting down. Server was very kind, but the kitchen flubbed our order. Salad came out quickly and then we waited ages for the rest of our meal. Don't think this is representative of the typical visit. And very kindly our server made up for it on the bill. The Farinata Con Le Barbabietole (crispy chickpea covered in beets and salad) was absolutely awesome. I also highly recommend the Capricciossa pizza and the Tonnarelli pasta. All of the ingredients truly top notch and fresh.

Terroni Adelaide has been serving up Italian cuisine for 16 years, Queen street location for 31! This is perfect if youre looking for that dim ambient lighting without breaking the bank. It's the type of vibe where you can dress up a bit for a girls night out or for a date night. Plus there's plenty of seating - 4 levels in fact! They also have private rooms for bigger groups too. They gave complimentary bread to start, and I tried the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. We also got a croissant ice cream sandwich and lavacake. Lava cake didn't ooze out but that might be because we took too long taking pictures It was a great combination of desserts with the lava cake being decadent, soft and warm, while the croissant sandwich was crispy and light. Also that upsidedown light bulb looking thing was the personal water pitcher? I was more fascinated than I'd like to admit Overall it was a decent meal but didn't overly impress me. There are a few other Italian restaurants I prefer, but its worth a try!

Terroni is ok. In fact it was so mediocre that I started writing this review and promptly stopped writing after "Terroni is ok" for three months. I understand that Terroni is a Toronto Institution, and it's really great for large groups, everyone is able to get something they would like. But that's all you should expect from the place. It's decent.

Why parking is so difficult is entirely the city's doing.

First impressions makes a world of difference. Perhaps we may have caught some of the staff a little early as it was a Sunday lunch after all. This just tells me there's a lack of consistency with their servers. However, the consistency with their grilled squid was not to our liking (unless you like it under seasoned and with a rancid burnt flavour - then by all means, go ahead; but I'll pass). The icing on the cake was the nonchalant attitude of one of the wait staff who spilled olive oil onto my trousers. This was so not cool for him to be so dismissive of his mistake. I suspect, their focus is on the fresh pasta, and somehow lost interest in ensuring customer satisfaction from an experience perspective. Back to the drawing board as they say. Dare I say the hope of change is unlikely? Too bad; and luckily there's plenty of other restaurants to enjoy nearby.

The Toronto area is filled with great upscale italian pizza spots but unfortunately the pizza here was underwhelming. The ct mang came with large uncut pieces of prosciutto along with uncut pizza which made it difficult to enjoy. When we asked the waiter to help us cut the pizza he responded "we dont do that". The pizza itself was dry and lacked depth, all I could taste was the crust since the fillings were sparse. The only thing that saved the meal was the ice cream filled croissant that was unique and delicious

I had a team/work dinner here. The restaurant has two floors with a very interesting layout that reminded me of restaurants in New York (Especially the brick walls). It is located in Toronto on Queens street (where there are many competing restaurants in the area). The food here is a hit and miss. We were given a family style set menu for dinner that included: Apristomaco 1) Funghi Assoluti 2) Frittura di Calamari Pizze 1) Margherita 2) Pizza di Sofia Primi 1) Rigatoni alla Bolognese 2) Ravioli alla Lilli Dolci 1) Tiramisu We were served with bread before our meal. The bread came with pilacca and olive oil. I wish they also served it with balsamic vinegar but again this is a personal preference. So for the meal: -I love the Funghi Assoluti. The mushrooms were very flavorful. The dish/salad was very lighly dressed but it was a very tasty and was definitely a pallate opener for an appetizer. -The Frittura di Calamari was not bad. Maybe because I have never had calamari at an Italian restaurant before but I kind of wish that it came with some sort of dip or something (I know this is not a Greek restaurant and I can't expect them to serve it with tzatziki sauce). -The pizzas are all thin crust. All their pizzas are cooked in a stone oven and I do like the nice thin crust. All the ingredients on the two pizzas were fresh and tasty. I did find the Pizza di Sofia looked a bit sad given that each slice of pizza had only one salame at most or no salame on it. -For the Rigatoni alla Bolognese, the rigatoni was not that great and it could have been cooked a little longer. I was not able to taste the parmigiano and I wish that they could be a bit more generous on the parmigiano. Also the meat was over cooked and very dry. -The Ravioli alla Lilli seemed to have been sitting out for awhile or something. It looked sad and they could have douced it with a bit more olive oil so it would look less dry or something. -For the tiramisu, I loved it. It is not the best Tiramisu I had but I like how it was nice and light. What we each got was a smaller version of the tiramisu compared to what you would get if you ordered it on its own. Overall, the food here was not bad. Service was great. Location is great. Parking can be difficult to find given that its on Queen's street. I would come back again but not with much high expectations.

Celebrated my birthday here. The salads were fantastic but pasta came out tad cold. Rapini was overpriced for that portion. If you like spice, get their peperoncini, its a nice kick it's so good I bought a jar home. Terroni is on my list if I'm craving Italian.

Sat at the back patio and it was a very cute and chill vibe. Our waitress wasn't the most friendly or welcoming, but it was fine. We ordered the gnocchi and the tonnarelli. The tonnarelli was perfectly cooked to al dente and the sauce and flavours worked well together. It did not have a strong truffle flavour, so the truffle did not overpower the rest of the flavours in the dish. Unfortunately the gnocchi was over cooked and slightly mushy. I didn't want to waste food so I didn't ask for it to be remade. The sauce and cheese were light and refreshing. I can see this being a every day dish for someone. The 2021 rose we got was dry and smooth which I enjoyed.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

It's a dining experience you don't see every day in Toronto. Even the washrooms are memorable, tucked away in the basement in what used to be old jail cells, which adds to the charm and gives the whole place a bit of personality. We went for an early Sunday dinner before a concert at Massey Hall. The restaurant got pretty busy as the evening went on, but it never felt chaotic. The atmosphere is lovely and lively, a great choice for a special night out or a pre-show meal. We started with Calamari alla Griglia with mixed greens, capers, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was a fresh, bright appetizer with good balance. For mains, my date had the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare with clams, mussels, calamari, scallop, and tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. The menu described it as mildly spicy, but it definitely had a noticeable kick. Still, the flavours were really good. I ordered the Ravioli al Brasato with braised beef, butter, sage, and parmigiano. It was tasty and comforting, though portion-wise I could have used a few more ravioli. I was still a bit hungry after and honestly double the size would have been perfect for me. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. It's not cheap, but the quality and ambience make it worth trying, especially for dinner before a show or a relaxed date night in one of Toronto's most unique spaces.

There were four flights of stairs to get up to the first floor with the bar and main dining area. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.
