My husband and I came here for a pre-Valentine's dinner and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, and the best part is their option to combine four flavors in one pizza -- highly recommend ordering it so you get to try multiple varieties at once. The House-cut Fries Tartufo e Parmigiano were another standout, a perfect balance of truffle oil and parmesan. They even let you cut the pizza with scissors -a real Italian-style touch that made the experience even more authentic and memorable. We also tried the Gassosa (Italian soda). If you enjoy lemon flavors, this is a must-try -- refreshing and unique. Service was top notch, especially thanks to the manager Jovena who made us feel very well taken care of. The team was sweet enough to make us a heart shaped pizza on a special request. The restaurant also offers a beautiful straight view of the NYC skyline along by a waterfront, and they have outdoor seating for summer -- definitely planning to come back during warmer weather. Have been a few times before and have always been happy enough with the experience (not amazing/the best food ever, but it's fine and close to our house so it's easy). Most recently, we went for an early 5:15 dinner on a Sunday to a mostly empty restaurant with 5 adults and a toddler, and was told they did not have space for us. Not sure if they didn't want a kid in the restaurant or what the deal was, but this place is just not worth it. read more

I have been here for dinner and cooking classes and always leave full of carbs and wine. The perfect combo. The owner is from Italy and also owns the gelato shop next door (which is excellent). Portions are large so the price point may seem high but you're getting a decent quantity of food. Everything is also fresh and fast! read more

Nice ambience with good food. Hubby and I had dinner here for the 1st time recently and we were not disappoint. First off I like the intimate vibe which is good for date night, service was good as well. For starter we shared the Prosciutto E Mozzarella which was refreshing. Terrone is my new favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. I am not sure what I love more their brick oven pizzas or their pastas, both are incredibly delicious. I am looking forward to working my way through their menu. I love how spacious and comfortable their outdoor seating is, the view is gorgeous. And they have great wine options to accompany their delicious dishes. They have a new lunch special that allows you to taste most dishes on the menu. The service is always attentive and friendly, which adds to the overall experience. I usually go for the pizza--it's consistently excellent--but I've also tried a few of their other dishes, and they've all been delicious. While the prices are definitely on the higher side, the quality of the food and ambiance justifies the cost. I went to Terrone a few weeks ago with a few friends and my 11-month-old son. The restaurant is nice and open, with a good amount of tables. There's a nice seating / waiting area when you enter. The restaurant is on the newer side, and service was very bad. There was only one server and approximately 10 busboy types, who did not approach the table and who all looked very unsure of themselves. It took forever for us to get a high chair for my son, forever to have our order taken, and forever to pay our bill. This is definitely a serious issues that needs to be worked out. We got a Regina Margherita Pizza (red) and a Mushroom Pizza (white). Both were pretty good -- Neopolitan style, which isn't my favorite, but they were made nicely. Both had ample cheese, which I enjoyed. I would order either of these pizzas again. We also got a salad, which was not memorable. I had an okay experience at Terrone. The food wasn't bad, but the service was really poor, and it needs to be worked out. read more

So i finally tried Terrone today on the LIC waterfront. Honestly i was skeptical because of the restaurants in LIC are kind of mediocre, lolz...But it was nice day I figured i would take my mom there for lunch...Was thinking maybe Osteria Brooklyn LIC but the reviews were kind of mixed and the vibe wasn't right... Anyways we went with Terrone, I have to say the interior is very sexy with a mid century vibe, we decided to sit outside since the weather was nice, and the outdoor area is nice and spacious. Anyways i must stay the food was excellent and the service was fantastic (all the staff seem to be OG Italian)...The only issue that came up was that it was so windy that the table umbrella went flying into the air turning into a projectile missle almost killing a pedestrian, luckily nobody got hurt and they were very apologetic but lesson learned sh*t happens...I was just suprised that they didn't have more customers on a Saturday afternoon when Osteria Brooklyn was pretty full...also the pricing is pretty reasonable for the area...and no i did not get an illegal kickback from them lolz i just enjoy supporting local businesses...So check them out its a great addition to the neighborhood.... read more

We've been regulars here for a while, but this visit was beyond disappointing. I ordered the fish for $27, and what arrived was a tiny, tasteless portion that felt more like an appetizer than an entrée. Service was poor from the start -- we were served the wrong drinks and the wrong dish twice before finally getting what we ordered. When I politely mentioned the minuscule size of the fish to our server, she laughed in agreement -- but nothing was done. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for at least an apology or some acknowledgment, but was told, "that's just the way it is." No apology, no adjustment to the bill, no solution. To make things worse, my wine glass was barely filled -- felt like two sips. This is a dish we've ordered before, and portions used to be noticeably bigger (and at a lower price!). Very disappointing experience overall. As regular customers, we expected better food quality, better service, and some accountability. Unfortunately, we'll be rethinking coming back. read more

They brought fries but didn't bring ketchup - who the hell has fries without ketchup or some kind of sauce? I asked waiter for two ketchup ramekins for each end of the table and of course he forgot about it, I had to flag down someone else and finally I get it after 15 minutes but only got one - great now I have cold fries and everyone has to reach to the center of the table. Refill Water? Fuggetaboutit, bring your own. Classy well designed layout, looks posh but Acoustics were terrible, every 10 minutes something shattered or dropped causing loud reverberating noise - not great for small kids or adults. Service is very subpar-there were many others waiting a long time for their stuff too. I wasn't rude to the servers as I felt bad for them, they could tell how disappointing everything was. It was poorly managed and very understaffed, 1 waiter/busboy, 1 bartender/waitress who never came back and stayed at the bar, 1 owner/manager for the whole place - Will not be returning and would highly not recommend. read more

I genuinely like the team here (also responsible for Santa Chiara, one of my favorite cafes) and they have been overly apologetic for any issues (forgotten items, etc). We wanted to try this place because it was right next to our apartment, but it was honestly very mid. It's a cute spot and in a great location by the water, but the food lacked. My friend and I shared the Burrata Salad and the Diavola Pizza. The salad lacked flavor and could've really used a balsamic glaze or something. Ahhhh! Sucks because I know they opened recently but I felt that the food was a bit bland. The burrata salad was seemingly undressed, I had to concoct my own vinaigrette to go on top. And the margherita pizza average at best! I liked the crust, the sauce was good, but generally I felt that the fior di latte cheese was less good/creamy compared to all the other margs I've had in NYC. Maybe I'm not the expert, but something seems different from the Fornino/motorino/etcs...idk. I'd come back and try other dishes though, and loved the ambiance/service! read more

The (person) who took our order missed some key details, but modified the final bill to make up for the mistake. Much work to be done (sorry, I come with 30 years of guest service/dining experience), but I think this place could be a good Italian spot. Pizza was good, not great (shared, element missing). Salad was delish! Other app never showed - saw it though upon leaving and sad I missed it. Offerings/suggestions from staff non-existent - they need to know the menu and be able to talk about it/sell it. Water type Nd drinks options never offered. No drinks menu available - but full bar seemed visible/available to order from. Decor interesting; upscale atmosphere with fancy marble tables and bar counter seating and wall accents. Seating at bar with fancy (brass?) high chairs - could be interesting. Lounge area as you enter off Center Blvd. on left also interesting with potential fireplace for 'effect' with great comfy green low chairs. Looking forward to going back once they get their groove on as the neighborhood begins to explore this new dining option. I wish them the best - just missed the presence of (ownership) in the space as this is the most important time to get feedback from the first guests. We were honestly worried we would get sick so we stopped after two bites. The main pasta was completely devoid of flavor and massively overcooked. We ended up getting Thai food after to wash out the taste from this meal. You are paying top dollar for the location and ambiance but nothing else. I regret to leave just a 2-star rating for this establishment. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is outstanding--perhaps one of the best pizzas in New York. However, the service was so poor that we couldn't wait to leave. Our waiter was rude, lacked knowledge, and showed no interest in his job. The manager was also discourteous we made a reservation for outside and our table was given to a walk in so we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. When we tried to order an extra drink from him, he refused and said it was the server's responsibility. ( the server took 20 min to come to take our drink order and we waited other 20 min to get the drink on the table ! ) It's unfortunate because the food was truly amazing.
