Nice little neighborhood bar, I like that it is low key and the decor is very unique. We drop by on a Tuesday night and it was relatively empty ... Seemed like mostly regulars that day. They have decent selections of $7 draft and $10 mixed drinks which tasted pretty good. I actually don't mind coming back for the HH and live band. read more

Any place that plays bands like Zeppelin, Nirvana, Floyd, Oasis etc. in my neighborhood is a keeper! This is a cute little dive, and when i say little, i mean little. It's very comfy though, with couches strewn about and a hammock on the upper level. I hear bands come and play but I haven't seen one yet, I hope to catch one soon. Happy hour is from 4pm-9pm and most drinks are $5. Also they have brooklyn lager on draught. What more could I ask for ? :) read more

They have a hammock. I think that merits 4 stars right there. This place reminds me of a tree house. They were just opening when we got there, and the owner invited us to go up to the loft and hang out. There was great music playing, a lofted bandstand, and a drum circle starting up. They also have movie nights, and an LGBT night. We didn't get to try their drinks, but I will be back soon. read more

Great place to hangout, i was there on a saturday and they had live music, if you like rock en espanol you will love this place.Mixed crowd and very nice people, the girl at the door was very nice, they guys at the bar were ok. This was a good cafe now it's not the music is being control by the owner from home so the vibe is not the same there are not alot of people coming by no happy hour what is going on with the owner you can't control everything from home without knowing what is going on at the bar I suggest you go to another bar. The most eclectic bar in Elmhurst, music is great. Mixed crowd. There is always something different going on. My go to bar when I just wanna relax and have a few drinks. You can bring your own food. I've been coming to this place for years, it can get loud and crowded. read more

Why do I like this place? It's most probably because the energy I get here is positive. I'm surprised to see a place like this here; most of those similar places I've been to are found in Brooklyn. I also like the way they've designed the whole tiny place that can accommodate a crowd in its upstairs section. I'd say that experiencing live music here is simply BEAUTIFUL. Period. read more

I wanted to really like this place. I like the concept and the overall vibe. However one thing I didn't like is they don't know how to make drinks. I love pisco sours and was immediately disappointed with the one I had here. First of all she served it the wrong glass and did it completely wrong. I was here last night for the closing readings for Queens Writes Weekend and had a good time. I've never been in a place like this. The steps and upstairs seating area are so weird, yet awesome. The clientele is interesting as well -- lot of characters. It's the kind of unique place worth leaving your own nabe to visit. I recommend strolling down Roosevelt Avenue from the 74th Street subway station in Jackson Heights for the full surreal Queens experience. read more

My friend and I happened upon this place after driving from LA to NYC. We needed a cocktail badly and this was the perfect spot! This bar had great live jazz music and a super cool see-through stage above our heads. The bartenders were very friendly and took a lot of pride in making their specialty drinks. Both bathrooms had gender neutral signs on them. We liked the feeling inclusivity. We'll definitely be going back! read more

Terraza 7 is a fixture of the Jackson Heights/Elmhurst music scene. It's a wonderful venue with a variety of genres showcased each week, though the emphasis is on Latin Jazz (the best!!!) Every Sunday, John Benitez leads an awesome jam session which brings out the best local musicians. The drinks are well-made and the atmosphere is vibrant. A cover charge is administered to sit on the second floor where the music is played, though even downstairs the music can be heard well. It seems that a gentrification-induced move is happening, but let's hope they stay near! read more

Great local spot for drinks and live music. I have gone here with friends many times and had great times all around . Liquor selection is good and the drinks are pretty strong for what you pay for. I can't say a bad thing about this place... And the stage is amazing ... I love the idea of it being upstairs and everything up there is cozy as hell. read more

Been here once, not sure why this place got 4 stars. Not a lot of characters (in facts- a bit ghetto) but it gets pretty crowded at night. Never had a let down in this place. They have HAMMOCKS!!!! on the top floor where the live band performs; their choice of live music is so cross country, specially South American. I love this place i usually come in with a bunch of friends on fri. Or sat. Every week But lately music being control by owner its bad all you listen to is Salsa. It wasnt like this before they use to play all types of music so some times it makes us want walk out but the bartenders are awesome. If it werent for them we would have been long gone! I have been coming here since the day I was legally allowed to be in bars over 10 years ago. It is a truly special place that is an important part of Jackson Heights and Elmhurst and unlike any other bar or venue in NYC. There is always great live music, great drinks, wonderful bartenders in a cozy unique space. It has maintained the heart and soul of Jackson Heights even as the city is rapidly changing around us. If you aren't paying to sit up on the mezzanine you can still enjoy the show for free below at the bar. Really a wonderful spot. One of my favorites in the whole city. read more
