Not sure why folks give this place 5 stars. Had the Beef and Pork combo...every piece of beef was chewy and both meats lacked flavor. OK, so go with the Katsu, which everyone raves about. Overcooked, stringy, chewy, with an "old fryer oil" flavor. Rice was under-cooked, and neither of us liked the Teriyaki sauce. Wife was not pleased either. Kid had General Tso's once and Orange chix another time and said "Meh, it was OK". Great salad dressing, though! read more

Decent quick food. The California roll was pretty good - very fresh and a large portion. Chicken stir fry was tasty and the gyoza were good. The beef yakisoba was ok, not my favorite. The $4.99 will get you your standard teriyaki chicken lunch - teriyaki glazed chicken, 2 scoops of rice, and the salad. The chicken was slightly over-cooked on the ends, but adding a bit extra of the (really good) teriyaki sauce that is on the table plus some Sriracha made it perfectly acceptable. Nice people, clean, and good service! I would come back and give this place another shot. I ordered some bulgogi the other day and it was so-so. The sauce was good but the meat was kinda chewy. I thought maybe it was just some parts but it was pretty much the whole thing. I wasn't too fond of the celery though in it. I may not be Korean but I don't recall ever having celery in my bulgogi. It just threw the taste off. Also the soy sauce sucked through I do appreciate restaurants that use OG so racha sauce instead of the bam bam. Around $12 with a drink? Naw not worth it. I love this place. it's next to my house and the food is always good. I was thrilled they had sushi- I don't eat real sushi, just shrimp rolls, but they are quick and its much nicer inside than average teriyaki places and has great prices. read more

By far the best teriyaki in the shoreline area! They are prompt and they provide excellent service. They recognized us even though we moved out of the area a couple years back. I recommend their spicy chicken teriyaki! The chicken is cooked just right with a perfect amount of spice to kick your taste buds. And the serving sizes are huge for your buck. Decent food for its price and large portion of food. If it's really no MSG as what they stated, then this is really tasty :-) I would highly recommend chicken katsu - its fried chicken is really crispy! I can of course only review what I've eaten, but I'm a fan! I've tried both the beef super bento and beef and broccoli, and they're both tasty. Probably what you'd expect from a strip-mall teriyaki place, but I really appreciate the quality of the meat. Ofttimes the beef comes super fatty at other places, which is generally why chicken is the default entree. But so far I've had consistent quality here. I don't think their miso is that special; a little bland/lacking in dashi and a curious lack of tofu. The sushi is okay if you want to order a bento (which comes with tons of food) but not worth ordering on its own. The tempura was good and fresh and their gyoza is fried to cripsy goodness. Really this place is aptly named - great for good, cheap teriyaki and lots of it. You probably shouldn't get too adventurous. read more

This place was a last minute thing on the way home and we figured it had pretty good reviews. We lucked out! They have THE BEST pork fried rice I've ever tried. My boyfriend got a beef/chicken combo plate with brown rice; the sauce was delicious and the beef was very tender. The portions were pretty big and we had leftovers which heated up nicely for lunch at work. We wish it was closer to home because we would be there all the time. read more

I stopped by Teriyaki Time for a quick bite to meet a friend during a weekend trip to Seattle. Don't let the exterior (looks relatively small from outside) fool you- this place had one of the best selection of lunch deals in town...My friend and I ordered shrimp and tofu combo with yakisoba and gyoza. Everything was perfect; service was friendly, quick, despite the fact that the restaurant was getting busy from lunch rush. The shrimp (unlike some other restaurants that serve them pretty overcooked/dried) was succulent and juicy, with right amount of marinade. In all everything was YUMMY and I walked away satisfied, full, and sad knowing that LA doesn't have places like this that serve decent teriyaki deals...I'll be coming back here for sure. read more

This is the ONLY spot I pick up teriyaki from. The quality of the food is always on point, and they are easily the fastest restaurant I've ever been to. Don't expect your meal to take any longer than 15 minutes to cook and be in your hands, they're quick. I am 21 years of age, and the couple that owns the restaurant has been there ever since I can remember. If they've been there that long, they'll be serving delicious food in that same spot for another 20 years. Hidden gem in Shoreline! Super fast service, clean restaurant and clean restrooms I ordered teri chicken without the sauce and it was perfectly grilled teri chicken (marinated with sauce and not just drowning in sauce for flavor). The owners/staff are also always very nice and pleasant. read more

I used to eat and like this place a lot when I was a student at a nearby college. They have a huge portion, and their meat and teriyaki sauce also tasted excellent. That was back in 2009 though. I ate here recently, and I must say that the quality is degrading. Their teriyaki and katsu just didnt taste the same as before, in a bad way. YES ! this is my favorite place for Teriyaki. i have tried them all. The difference here is the super nice lady, the service is excellent and even though it is a little more expensive than most other places it is worth it without question. This is the only place where every single time I order and eat there is NO fat in my food. This is important to me as I HATE chunks of fat in my food. I have been eating here for almost 5 years now and you will not find a better place for Teriyaki. I want to try other things but the Teriyaki is so good I cannot do that here hahaha. read more

Our usual place is closed for the holiday week so we checked on Yelp and found our good friend Monica Beaches' glowing recommendation. We suspected we couldn't go wrong with that, and we were right! The new owner, Sue, said they have kept all of the original recipes that have been favorites there for years. She was as lovely as possible and so engaging and kind with the kids. We were picking up our food to go home but would have loved to sit down and eat there. It's roomy enough to seat a lunchtime rush crowd, pretty, clean and bright. We had called the order in from the road and were told 15 minutes, but when we got there less than 10 minutes later it was being wrapped up fresh off the grill for us. We got four orders of teriyaki chicken and rice with salad and two orders (20) of Jiozi. The chicken was so very tender with the perfect amount of sauce; the salads were fresh crisp greens, and the dumplings disappeared fast with four girls and myself at the table. I overestimated the need of teriyaki chicken and rice, the servings are extraordinarily generous so we may be having that for lunch and dinner for another day or two. After reading the reviews (and my usual place closed due to demolition) I was looking forward to trying this place. We got teriyaki chicken and the short ribs, and the food was terrible. Starting with the salad. The dressing had a bitter flavor, and the lettuce smelled like soap. The chicken was chewy and the sauce was too sweet. The short ribs were 70% fat. I was very disappointed with the meal overall. Although I suppose the rice wasn't bad, but it's pretty hard to mess that up. The service was good though, so there's that. read more
