I'm not even sure how to describe this... It should be chicken Katsu...

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars, is that the people that work at the front counter are very nice. The food here is simply not of a high-quality. The flavors are good, but the quality of the meat leaves slowly something to be desired. Very inconsistent, and just not worth the price. Teriyaki Madness used to be delicious, every time, with your food prepared fresh with high-quality ingredients... The food still seems fresh, but the ingredients, and quality of the meat has declined tremendously...

We just needed something quick after a long day! We had just left target and decided to give this place a quick try. The server was very kind, and helpful. They were in the process of cleaning when we came in... the bottles were still sticky and the table wasn't wiped down... I ordered the spicy teriyaki since the gal at the register recommended it... and then the noodles.. I normally love spicy but this was over the top spicy... not sure if the cap to the chili peppers popped off but it burned my lips! I got a side of the teriyaki sauce to try and tame it down... wasn't very helpful but the teriyaki sauce was delicious! I also loved all the fresh veggies!

The bowl that was supposed to be chicken breast. This is clearly not chicken breast

Went to pick up dinner here and ordered a few bowls... 1 with chicken breast, 1 with extra chicken and the other just normal. The chicken breast one that I paid extra for did not come with chicken breast it had thigh meat, the other bowl did not come with the extra chicken I paid for. We called to speak with the manager and he argued with my husband and then said oh we will have to check the cameras as if we were lying. Absolutely unprofessional of the manager to argue about it. We have had this location several times before and never complained once so it's not like we're always complaining.

New lunch spot in Simi close to work so decided to give it a try. Ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl w chicken breast. Chicken had really good grilled flavor and I love that the teriyaki sauce is served on the side. Love the mixed veggies which were cooked well and they give you a good portion. Friendly service and food came out pretty fast. Would definitely eat here again!

It's always nice to have a different choice to dine out. This is a Fast Food Concept. I've been here now about 3 times now and each time the service seems to be different. Basic service needs. Set your employees for success. On My 3 different visits, this is what happen. One cashier and know employee to expedite the order to the waiting customers. She was the only employee in front, taking orders and packaging the orders for the waiting customers. During your peek hours, put another employee to assist your cashier. Lunch time 11-2 usually and Dinner time 5-8 pm. Or by assessing your time frame by using your tools on your POS system, will tell you your busy times. On another occasion your Dining room was to cold. The Teriyaki Chicken had a Good taste, the Chicken was at a room temperature. Going back to the service part a bit. Basic Service issues. Acknowledge the Guest or if busy, I'll be right with you. Just Acknowledge your customers. Smile and greet your customers and at the end a Simple Thank you! Set your employees up for Success!!!!!!!

White rice, orange chicken and veggies

First time at the Simi location and it was good. They serve a good amount and the orange chicken was surprisingly good and I'm not really a fan of orange chicken! It is a lot of rice, wish it had a little more protein but not bad for what I got. Would like more broccoli for the veggies but the taste alone was good. The service was great, they were quick and helpful with recommendations. Restaurant was clean and would pay a visit again if in the mood. Need to try the teriyaki chicken next but not disappointed at all.

New in Simi Valley! Something I need to try. There's a trend in this town that anything new only last for months. Well, on this place I certainly hope not. I was on the way home and decided to try this place. I made an order while passing by Tapo Canyon on the 118. When I came to pick up my order, I was surprised that it was ready. That was fast! Actually, the lady wrapping it up saw me came in and asked my name then she handed it to me. It was nice and hot and somewhat heavy. Got home and first thing came to my mind, is it going to be another teriyaki place? I opened the container tray and I can smell the smokey grilled chicken with aromatics of a good quality teriyaki sauce. It's really the sauce that gave me a lasting experience. It's great! The chicken was savory, smokey, tender and juicy. The calrose Japanese rice was fresh and soft. I read a one or two star review about the rice being mushy and nasty. Obviously, that person never had Japanese rice in their life. The vegetables were cooked just right. They were crunchy and fresh. My chicken teriyaki bowl was amazing! I can finally say, I don't need to go to Gardena, West LA (Sawtelle), Manhattan Beach (Fusion Sushi), Torrance and Rowland Heights (Tokyo Lobby) to have a good teriyaki. The best ones I've ever had was in Tokyo, Japan. Bird land and Tamahide to name a couple. This place is not too far off from them. Give this place a try. I highly recommended!

It's edible but $30 for two bowls is kind of insane for the quality you get. I'm eating mine but my mom isn't eating hers because she's convinced it's not real chicken. Nothing against this location specifically I'm sure the people that work there are great. The food for the price isn't worth it to me.

Burnt crust but chicken saved it.

I love this place. They have good food. Fried rice is good. Service is good and friendly. But for the love of God.... Please use new or clean the oil you deep fry the food in. My Katsu looking burnt AF... and the batter it's in is dark brown almost to black. I know it's the oil because the chicken is cooked perfectly. This aint the first time the oil used is old... would for sure rate them 4-5 if it wasn't for the old oil.

Yelp didn't lead me astray when The Baker's Daughter returned as top pick. You can find The Bakers Daughter tucked inside a shopping center just off of Cochran and Madeira Road. A small bakery selection of fresh pastries and sweet bread selections. I ordered the chocolate chip espresso scone to try and was blown away of its flavor! So good and moist! Also we ordered an Avocado Tartine and the Sausage and Egg Sando. The avocado Tartine was delicious, I opted to add an egg. All so fresh and a generous portion of smashed creamy avocado. But for me the star of the show was the sausage and egg Sando! Oh sweet lawd this now tops my list of favorite breakfast sandwhich! And I don't know how I'm going to survive living 50 miles away from it! Made on baked fresh brioche roll, in house homemade incredible sausage patty with an egg and the most delicious chipotle aioli and tomato jam that I think I'm going to dream about it tonight! I professed my love of the Sausage Egg Sando to the kindest team member who was working the register. He was so friendly and he shared that some people say it's too spicy but my taste buds which don't really do super spicy thought it was barely spicy at all! It is seriously full of flavor and simply perfection in every bite! The team member also shared it was originally a "special" but so many people asked for it often it's now been added to the menu. He shared that the tomato jam, sausage patty, chipotle aioli and bread were all freshly made incredible sausage house too! I can't wait to find myself back in the area just for that Sando!

The vegetables arrive so fresh that even the most resolute vegan might momentarily forgive the unapologetic abundance of beef, lamb, and chicken beneath them. The sauces are lush, indulgent, and impossibly smooth--crafted with a decadence that feels almost improper to describe. The fries? Crisped to perfection on the outside--twice over, it seems--while the interior dissolves into something closer to silk than potato. The towering proprietor, all 6'8" of him, greets guests with a smile that borders on euphoric--especially when he places into your hand a perfectly chilled stein of Enegren Valkyrie. The inside was also very clean and well-organized, which made the experience even better. I drive by this spot all the time, and now I know I'll definitely be stopping in much more often!

It all tasted great. I ordered the Buddha Burrito that comes with a side salad. Very fresh…read moreingredients. I also grabbed a slice of the Carrot Cake. Super good. The food travelled well. I got things to go but it seemed like a clean and inviting place with multiple areas to sit. They also have an iced tea bar. Very original. The girl at the register was very helpful and thorough. I'm glad I went to this restaurant. It's nice to feel fulfilled. I recommend trying this place. I liked it very much.
