This ramen place is so unique with special favors like TRUFFLE ramen!! I got that one and as a truffle lover wow it was AMAZING!! And I came from chino hills which has alot of good ramen places. We also had chicken katsu curry and karaage which were both perfection. This was such a gold find considering the limited asian options in this county. I stopped by while in Simi Valley for work training and wanted to support a local business. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Unfortunately, the ramen didn't meet my expectations. The tonkotsu broth looked rich and creamy, but it lacked the depth of flavor and seasoning I normally expect from this style of ramen. The chashu pork was also dry and tougher than it should have been, instead of being tender and melt in your mouth. The noodles and soft boiled egg were good, and the presentation was nice, but the broth and pork are the stars of a ramen bowl, and they fell short during my visit. It may have just been an off day, so I'd be willing to give them another try in the future. I hope they can improve the consistency because the staff was welcoming, and I'd love to have a better experience next time. read more

Ambiance The environment was very relaxing, although definitely small. Food We ordered the Mentaiko Chicken Tonkatsu as well as the Chicken Wonton Soup ramen. The soup did not come out as hot as we would have liked, it felt like it was just warmed. Although the chicken wonton soup came with a clear broth, we felt that it was oily. The actual chicken wontons had a good flavor and texture. The dish was simple but was sufficient. The mentaiko chicken tonkatsu ramen felt like it lacked depth despite being a tonkatsu broth. Although, the chicken that topped the dish was very flavorful and seemed to be marinated well. The noodles were the classic texture and the topping for me felt standard. This unassuming spot really surprised me! My brother recommended this place when we came to town and he was staying in a nearby hotel. We gave it a try and my belly was glad I did. The place is cute and comfy-just a handful of tables inside and a kind of low-light atmosphere. The tables were pretty much all full but the table we were sat at, which was a good sign from the jump. The service was helpful and steered us right. We tried the spicy beef ramen, and it had awesome flavor. I would recommend medium spiciness, like I had it, if you're generally comfortable with spice. They will bring you more chili paste to spice things up more if you want it. The beef was tender and the broth had a great kick to it. I had been wanting to try this place, and I finally remembered to stop by. As a Simi Valley local, I was excited to try their ramen. The restaurant is very clean, organized, and cozy. I was greeted and seated right away. I ordered the regular pork ramen and spicy tuna rolls. The waitresses were very nice, which I really appreciated. The ramen was delicious, flavorful, and served piping hot. The service was also very fast. They brought me the bill, I paid using the QR code, and I was out in less than 45 minutes. The interior looks slightly different and more tables and chairs available in comparison to when it first opened. We got the chicken katsu curry, beef sukiyaki bowl, and takoyaki. I was very surprised by how big the portion was for the chicken katsu. All the food was very delicious. We also wanted to get the tempura ice cream again, but apparently it's no longer on the menu. We had dinner here around 6:30 on a Sunday and the place was pretty packed. We started out with some Takoyaki, and ordered their Classic Tonkatsu ramen and Spicy Miso ramen, both with pork. The Takoyaki came out hot and was delicious! The Classic Tonkatsu ramen had a very good broth, savory pork slices, soft boiled egg, and the ramen had just the right amount of firmness to it. Delicious indeed. The Spicy Miso ramen had a good kick to it. It had the same deliciousness as the Classic Tonkatsu ramen, but spicy. The restaurant has a good amount of seats & tables, and they also have bar seating. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Overall a great experience. I tend to try items named after the place and the roll delivered and had a nice crunchy onion topping for great texture. Classic Tonkotsu ramen - very flavorful broth that wasn't too oily at all with great mix of veggies and nicely prepared egg! Drinks - premium cold sake and Kirin First Press malt washed it all down. This place is SOLID! It's not the best ramen I've ever had but being only 15 minutes away, makes it the best that is the closest. Everything is super flavorful (anything spicy is NOT an exaggeration so be forewarned) and has decent portion sizes. OBSESSED with the fresh garlicky cucumber salad; have gotten it every time we come. Service has been hit and miss. Once while here, I'm sure our server forgot to put in our order because we had to wait nearly an hour but saw several people who sat/order after us receive their food. A couple of times the pork has been a little on the chewy side rather than tender. The side noodle price is a little outrageous($4.50) and the most expensive I've ever seen at a ramen house. Despite those cons, the flavor keeps us coming back. Will continue to when we want good ramen but don't want a long drive.
