I came in with my daughters and we sat down, but it took quite a while before our server came over. From the beginning, her attitude felt very unfriendly and dismissive. I understand servers are busy and I'm not expecting anyone to be overly friendly, but there's a difference between being busy and making a customer feel like an inconvenience. I ordered tofu with my ramen, as I've done before. I was brought fried tofu, which I did NOT order. I immediately told her that I ordered the soft tofu because that is what I've always received here. She told me that it always comes fried. I told her I come here often and that I've never received it fried before. She walked away, and only after I was sitting there did she ask if I wanted the soft tofu. I said yes, and she brought it out. The bigger issue came when I received the check and realized I had been charged for BOTH the fried tofu and the soft tofu. I didn't order the fried tofu, and I didn't even touch it. It was brought out incorrectly in the first place. When I asked if the fried tofu could be removed from the bill, her response was, "Let me ask, I'm just a server?" That response was extremely unnecessary. I wasn't blaming her or being rude -- I was simply asking for an incorrect charge to be corrected. She eventually came back and told me the new total but never showed me the corrected receipt, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. On top of that, she never checked on us during the meal, offered refills, or came by to see if we needed anything. I actually had to look around and find her when I needed something. When we were leaving, she didn't say thank you or goodbye either. Mistakes happen that is not what bothered me. What bothered me was the attitude and the way the situation was handled. I left feeling like I was somehow in the wrong for asking not to be charged for food I never ordered or touched. I've had good experiences here before, so this was particularly disappointing.
