Went on a summer Friday evening. It was pretty busy, so we got two seats at the bar. Service was okay considering how busy all of the staff were. We ordered the Thai shrimp app, the parmesan halibut w/ a cup of salmon chowder, and the prime rib. In all the entire meal was pretty good and exceeded my initial expectations. (The decor had me a bit confused - is it a sports bar, or not-quite fine dining w/ live music, or....?) Personally, if the food is better than I would, or could, make at home, I'm satisfied. While the chowder wasn't as thick as I'd like and the prime rib was slightly over medium rare, everything was hot and seasoned pretty well. We'll probably go back soon. read more

I ordered prime rib dinner to go and was treated with disgust when I went to pick it up. Teri was rude and bossy but I liked their prime rib before so was patient. at home I discovered broccoli had brow stems and was absolutely awful. I wish I couldn't leave any stars. Came back here with a group of 14 made sure reservations were for 11:30am. Hot to the restaurant only to find our one of our group was bring yelled at by some woman (later found out it's the owner) that the reservation was for noon. No I called to make sure they were at 11:30 so the owner started slamming tables together tossing rolled up silverware onto the table. No where is there any posting of a surcharge for using a card to pay for your order nor is there any posting they automatically add 20% tip to your order. Excuse me breakfast and lunch is 10%. I am just a bit of a spaghetti snob and I have eaten spaghetti in different parts of the world... the comparisons are fascinating. I have always loved spaghetti... ever since I was a kid and into adulthood. Just the word invokes feelings of family, friends and fun times. I believe it is the king of comfort foods. Teri's restaurant in Longview, WA doesn't claim to be an Italian restaurant and in fact, I believe, they focus on seafood. I took my order to go and the customer service was excellent. The ambience inside the restaurant was buoyant, family friendly and definitely a place you could bring the kids while still getting a great meal. The to-go container kept my food warm until I got home. The rolls are tender with a naturally buttery texture so I didn't bother to use the butter included in the to-go sack. I don't like spaghetti sauce that is spicy or watery and this dish was neither. The sauce was made in-house and the meatballs are a blend of pork sausage and beef. The size of the meatballs was perfect and the taste was five star. The cook uses an angel hair pasta - which was actually a great choice (rather than the traditional spaghetti pasta) and it was cooked to perfection. It is interesting how most people probably think spaghetti is an entry-level dish for anyone wanting to learn how to cook but I would suggest that not all spaghetti is created equal and it is in fact, more complex of a dish (especially to get it done well enough to earn five stars) than people realize. Kudos to the cooks at Teri's (before doing a review this is my second time ordering spaghetti) and the ladies who serve on the floor. I am so thrilled I discovered this place. It was exactly what I was looking for: unpretentious, down to earth atmosphere, intimate dinner setting, menu not too expensive, staff super friendly, and the food... FANTASTIC! We chose a cute corner table with a little lamp - very sweet. Last night I had a craving for steak and potatoes, and was heading to the restaurant with the kona steak in mind. I had just moved to Longview and had driven by Teri's twice each workday. It looked like a decent place to stop for a quick meal on the way to work. WRONG! Unfortunately I ordered Smoked Salmon soup. It was truly one of the worst things I have ever eaten! I was only able to eat a few bites of this terrible goo before giving up. Visited Teri's restaurant twice in past month. It just may be my new favorite! I'm not sure why I've never tried this restaurant before now! Our first visit was on a Friday evening and we met some friends at Teri's. The parking lot was packed. I was afraid we weren't going to be able to get a table. We received a very friendly greeting and were told that there were two tables available. We chose the table away from the bar area since we were told there would be music starting soon. Our server was fabulous. Friendly and funny. Joked with us and had us feeling very comfortable and at home. I perused the vast martini menu and finally settled on the duck fart martini. Very delicious! We started out with some bacon wrapped stuffed mushrooms. Very nice. For dinner, we all had something different. I wish I had made everyone let me take pictures of their plates! Everything was presented so nicely and the food was great. I had the kona steak - tenderloin medallions with a coffee rub topped with a kahlua Demi glacé and I opted for the garlic mashed potatoes. So fabulous. I really enjoyed this steak. Other meals at our table - filet mignon with a crab topping, an ago steak and crab cakes. Everyone really enjoyed their dinners and it was decided that we would be returning often. The musician that came in was really good also. Just a really nice atmosphere. We liked it so much that the four of us decided to try it again less than a month after our first visit! We were not disappointed. Food and service was just as fabulous the second time around. This visit, I opted for Panko crusted halibut with Parmesan cream sauce. It was seriously delicious. I had the teri-tini, which had kahlua and buttershots and I can't remember what else. Not my favorite place to go. I think the owner is rude. Definitely should work on customer service skills. This is more of place if you want to be snooty and think you don't stink. First, time we went as a family and it was pretty good food. But felt unwelcome because we had our kids there. Second time we went had a dinner just the spouse and I. Treated okay but we had questions about something's since I'm allergic to a lot. The waitress was amazing but the owner was rude. The last time there we had a meeting of 10ish and was met with the party didn't order enough. My bill alone was $50.00 with a tip. Apparently, that wasn't enough. I would blame it on maybe a bad day but 3 times is enough for me. Just remember you put your pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. read more

What a great place. I didn't realize at the time that it was one of the owners from the old JT Steak house. The steaks were perfect! I was very please with them as well as the sides. The food was great and probably one of the best in Longview. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. Only comment I had was sometimes they would have us a little close to other tables on the bottom floor. For such a large restaurant you would think they could space you out a little more. Excellent dinner. I had 2 piece halibut dinner with fries and creamy Cole slaw. The fish was delicious and 2 pieces was plenty along with everything else. Husband had Chicken parm that he said was very good and again, plenty, but not too much, just the right portions. We finished with the recommended lemon cake and the only thing I'm sorry about is that I couldnt finish it. I was simply too full. The atmosphere was perfect, prices excellent, and friendly responsive staff. We have never come here before because the reviews weren't too impressive. Im sorry we waited so long because it was very good!! Appetizer of calamari was tasty and fast. salad was crispy and fresh. We had the steak imperial and the scampi. scampi was vey flavorful and just the right amount of sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly. Vegetables were cooked perfect, not overcooked. Underwhelmed with the food but very friendly atmosphere. Salad was basic iceberg with shredded carrots and 3 croutons a slice of cucumber and one tomato. Appetizer was the thai shrimp. It was tasty but I would serve the sauce on the side because they were pretty soft. I am usually the most positive reviewer but I have to say the peanut chicken was not good. The chicken on top of the pasta was lukewarm and the dish was very bland. I actually added salt and pepper to all the food...something I never do. Chocolatini was tasty and I did like the rolls. My wife and I are visiting from out of state and went to Teri's after seeing all the five star ratings on yelp. We can't figure out what is going on with these ratings. First off what is with the decor, and there is a weird smell to this place. My wife went to the bathroom and said it was disgusting. Our food was OK but but people are saying things like it was perfect or the best they've ever had - really??? During the ordering of dinner I asked our waitress Tiffany for some sweet and low for my tea. We literally never saw her again!!! Someone else brought the food out and I had to flag her down to get our check. Good thing we don't do desserts. Teri's is a real mixed bag of a restaurant. First off, the decor is strange. They are trying to be a nicer upscale restaurant yet they have burgundy table cloths on some tables and others are the bright red Formica from the previous pizza restaurant it once was. It's a mishmash of pizza parlor meets 1980's upscale. Service was excellent. I believe our servers name was Michael? Very attentive without being overbearing. Food, again, was a mixed bag. Homemade fried mozzarella sticks were good but served with canned marinara. Calamari was cooked perfectly, but was cheap strips served with cheap premade tartar. Prime rib was good, but nothing special. Salmon dish was cooked perfectly, but was not the best quality of salmon and was served on pasta that had a strange sauce that tasted exactly like it was Miracle Whip? If you dine here, make sure you have a good 2 1/2 hours to spare. Very slow, due to a very tiny kitchen. Food was cold and subpar. The staff is amazing and service was good. They are the only good thing going here. The owner on the other hand, Teri Weir, lacks people skills and is extremely rude! How she's managed to stay in business this long, is beyond me. I came by during a weekday and was a little worried when the parking lot was empty but I was pleasantly surprised at the food! My husband ordered the rib eye and I had the crab cakes. We had a shared appetizer of calamari strips and spiced cake for dessert. The crab cakes were done properly and my only wish was that they had a hollandaise sauce to go with it. The roasted vegetable and rice sides had a decidedly Asian flair to them. The steak was cooked to perfection and I was pleasantly surprised at the spiced cake. It was definitely not too sweet and homemade for sure. The service is impeccable. Our server was sweet and anticipated our needs without being harassing. The place isn't decorated for "fine dining" but it's a great place to bring a date, have a business meeting, or simply a family dinner out. We were a loud group of deaf people LOL but our server Savannah was on top of things the whole time even though we had a few stragglers. First, let me say the food was wonderful. It was well prepared and tasted great. We were seated in a nice cozy spot on the north wall, perfect for a romantic meal, unfortunately we were right under a T.V. load enough to hear. This ruined a great meal for my wife. Went with a group, 12-13. They did not accomodate the group by moving a four person table next to the two they had set up. They had 13 people sit at two tables that were for eight people. We were all squeezed in tight and could barely move. There was plenty of room to move another table in, as the restaurant was not busy. Three people could not eat their green salads, said they were wilted and tasted previously frozen. Food was subpar. Group will not be going back there sadly. read more
