Cute atmosphere, amazing service, our waitress was wonderful and very kind. No judgey looks when our two year old fussed. It just felt cozy and at home. Nothing really wowed me with the food. My son's biscuit in his biscuit and gravy was uncuttable. It was weird, like we all tried. Not a worry to us tho, we worked with it. The retro take home kid cups made my whole day. The food is good. We had a terrible experience with a server screeching at us because of an order that she disagreed with. We put in the same order as we always did. The waitress who took the order didn't indicate a problem. The kitchen staff filled the order but when the manager, covering for our waitress when she was on break, brought our order to us, she told us that is not how they do orders. The issue was how our order was divided. Because of a health issue, I could not eat certain things. My husband and I would order one order and have it divided between two plates. When we explained we had been coming there ever since we moved to the area and always ordered the same thing, she started screeching at us. I got up to use the restroom and I could still hear her screeching in the kitchen at other emplyees from inside the bathroom. We've never been back. read more

I ordered the shrimp & crab omelet with hollandaise, fried potatoes & sour dough toast. Both meals were excellent! Coffee was refilled 3 times before we had a chance to ask! The waitress was on it! The primary cooks (man and woman) and rest of the kitchen staff are excellent. They make spectacular omelettes, in the rolled layered style; amazing eggs Benedict and other food prepared expertly. What the heck happened to this place. I have not been in for over a year and when I got back to town new staff, all waitresses are new and new ownership. The service was so bad- waited an hour for cold food, no checking back to see if you need any refills on drinks. Ordered a simple hamburger & fries and the fries looked like pieces of tiny hash browns.....could not even pick them up. Totally useless and also cold. Asked to talk to the manager owner and he made excuses why our food was cold, why the so called fries were potato fragments and un-edible and why we had to wait over an hour for cold food and zero service. Good luck trying to keep this once outstanding restaurant open with this type of food and service. We will not be back- sad because we have been going here for 40 years and used to love the food and staff. No more! read more

Adult daughter ordered an egg, hash browns and a pancake.The combination was on the menu. The pancake came after about 20 minutes without the rest. I ordered two samplers. In total there were 4 eggs, I ordered them all sunny side and over easy, I got 1 runny. No seasoning on the potatoes. LARGE orange juice was the size of a normal small. This place is classic small town goodness. I love the Omelettes and Chicken Fried steak. My wife loves the pancakes and French toast. The staff is so friendly and work their tails off. Today, I had the Spanish Omelette. Filled with lots of cheese, ham, onion, chilies, tomato and salsa on the side. It was so big and so good! I can't believe that someone gave them a one star a year ago during the virus firestorm. This time was so tough on businesses and their employees. To not be more understanding is a shame.
