Interstate still has that "dive bar" vibe but the food has really improved there. Staff has always been great and they still are. They now have roped off sidewalk seating and overflow parking across the street. They are seriously pricey now, especially considering how blue collar Rainier is. But the food is quite good and the portions are generous so that is just an observation, not a complaint. More or less the same "low brow" clientele although you don't see motorcycles parked out front any more so I don't know if they are still Biker friendly or not. I tend to mind my own business so the venue is still fine as far as I am concerned. There are "divier" dive bars in Rainier and at least one more upscale restaurant in town. Actually, Rainier is one of my favorite stopping points when coming back from Astoria because there are so many good places to eat here. You certainly won't regret checking this place out.

We seated ourselves, and our server arrived promptly with menus and took our drink order. Unfortunately, after our food was delivered, she seemed to disappear. She never came back to check on our meal, and we ended up asking another server for drink refills. The food, however, was fantastic! I had the Pacific Pasta (I may have the name slightly wrong), and it was outstanding. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was light and flavorful, and there was so much seafood! I expected a couple of shrimp and a few chunks of salmon, but the plate was loaded with both. My husband ordered the tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly, and he enjoyed the rice as well. The presentation of both dishes was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. Our bill came to about $110 for an appetizer, two entrées, and three drinks. If I had one small wish, it would be cloth napkins. It's a tiny detail and certainly doesn't take away from the experience, but it's one of those little touches that would have made the meal feel just a bit more special. Overall, I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this restaurant. I'd happily return the next time we're in town.

Now, I also tried their beer a lighter beer type at their McMinnville location and it was just okay... but this Oatmeal Stout I liked quite a bit more. So I suggest focusing in their dark beers. The flavor highlights in this beer are sweetness and Oatmeal. It is also smooth and creamy in body. For a Stout it isn't a very heavy beer and is on the light bodied side which sometimes you come across a Stout that is like that but it isn't something I'd call commonplace.
