This was a great stop on a beautiful day! We ordered at the window and grabbed a table. Our name was called pretty quick. The fish and chips were an absolute treat! The halibut was super thick, but cooked perfectly! The breading was light and crisp and had a great flavor. The house made tartar sauce was tangy and fresh. The fish tacos were loaded up with lots of fresh veggies. This was a great meal! It was nice eating out in the patio today, but if you come up on a rainy day, you can sit inside 3 Peaks and get the same Pacific NW Best fish menu choices. Great food, great venue! read more

Amazing! We found a new favorite place for fish n chips and fresh seafood next door! We got 3 different meals and shared when we got home. Halibut, cod, clam strips and chowder. I can't tell the difference between the cod and halibut so I usually just order cod. Oh and don't forget to grab salmon candy from the guy behind the counter. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Not too busy at the cafe, but when we ordered at the counter they were behind on orders coming from next door (3 Peaks brewery) so they gave us a 30 minute wait time for our food. We agreed since we had just purchased some smoked black cod from the fresh seafood market next door. We also ordered some clam chowder with our two piece halibut fish and chips and they gave us that right away, so that was perfect! Staff is very friendly and helpful in both places. They have plenty of outdoor seating in front of the seafood market and picnic tables in front of the cafe. The smoked fish was really yummy. The clam chowder had great flavor as well; tasted a little cheesy?! I love a thick clam chowder, so it was right up my alley. We were a little disappointed in the halibut fish and chips. The fillets were overcooked, making the breading overly crispy and borderline burnt tasting. The fries were okay, but a bit soggy from the fish fillets laying on top. There were quite a few options in the refrigerator cases in the seafood market we may come back and try. We saw some fish and non fish cheesy dips and pasta salads that looked good. Overall a good first visit. The wait can be long since they also take orders from 3 Peaks next door. I finally made it up to the spot. It's a little bit of a drive from my house, but I think worth it! The store has so many fresh fish options. It's crazy. Also several kinds of oysters and clams. They do in-house smoked salmon, which is amazing! The store has several condiment options and some cute logo stuff. The employees were super helpful and nice. They answered my questions and were very pleasant. They have a small wine collection that has some good choices as well. Just had this today while visiting 3 peaks and sadly it was by far the worst tacos I have ever had. I would describe them as coleslaw tacos with varying forms of texture depending on if you order shrimp or halibut etc. So bad. I knew we were in trouble when I could not identify the shrimp from the halibut tacos when they were dropped off. I had to dig away with a fork to see which was which. My son and I ended up dumping as much cabbage mush out of there as possible and it was a lot. Luckily I ordered a side of fries. read more

I haven't been able to find a good fish and chips spot out here that has panko breaded fish and not beer battered. Stopped by the other day and was pretty disappointed. The service was not that great. The girl we spoke with seemed like she was in a rush or a hurry and wasn't friendly at all. We stood and waited and a guy ended up taking our order at the window. We got the chicken quesadilla and a 3 piece fish and chips. The quesadilla was tasty and flavorful, but instead of giving you a side of salsa, they add it into the quesadilla, which was fine, but I would still prefer a side of it with no charge because it definitely was not enough salsa in it. The fish and chips looked so delicious but was not worth near $30. I would rather eat at Burgerville and have a 5-piece fish and chips order for less than $30 and much more flavorful and delicious compared to this place. They have a store with fresh (uncooked) seafood, and then they have an outdoor area with seating to order lunch/dinner food. They have a nice menu and lots of things I wanted to try. I decided to get the halibut fish & chips, since it's a specialty of theirs, plus a cup of clam chowder. The halibut was great - panko fried and reminded me of a couple fried tuna joints on the coast that I love. The price was steep for what you get, but I don't know of another place in the Portland metro area with something similar. The clam chowder also was good, as was the cole slaw. Others got the cod sandwich (good) and fried clams (good). There's a brewery nextdoor with lots of indoor & outdoor seating, so next time we may go over there with our food plus the dogs. The clam chowder was very very gloppy and we probably wouldn't order again. I wish there were salt packets available because that would have make the fish better in my opinion. I wouldn't get there chicken strips again. As far as the service goes- it was great. The space was big, lots of room and great beer/ wine/ cool trinket offerings. This was our first time PNWB and boy was it a treat. We preferred online for a quick pickup and go. Once we arrived the parking lot was full. You make your way up a ramp to a pick up window for to-go orders. You quickly notice other activity on the property. I asked the gentlemen who met me at the window what's all the activity about? He let me know that there are three businesses on the property, one owner. There is the cafe that has limited outdoor seating and mainly caters to to-go orders. They also have a seafood market where you can by fresh seafood. On Theo there side of the property they have a full restaurant that serves seafood. The area can get pretty busy, he remarked, when the weather is nice. We ordered two halibut and chip plates. The halibut is lightly battered and definitely moist. They offer one, two and three piece plates. I ordered two and was surprised at how large the pieces were. Plenty for one person when you add the French fries and coleslaw. This place was thriving for an early Sunday afternoon! We came for my boyfriends birthday gift and he was so happy! He said that their clam chowder may be some of the best he's ever had - which is saying something. We ate/grabbed beers at 3peaks and they brought the food over. Bartender was quick and attentive and helped with any questions we had. There is a ton of indoor and outdoor seating so there can be a variety of groups. There's also outdoor seating at their location as well. For 2 drinks & 4 food items it was $60. Good and delicious and great as there are very few seafood locations in this area. Would definitely recommend coming and giving it a try when you're in town. Only "meh" would be we got a Caesar salad to share and it was just ok. I've been here 5-6 times and always eaten at the bar. There are two major problems I keep experiencing here: 1. The kitchen is shared between the takeout Cafe counter and the bar, which is apparently the reason we've ALWAYS had to wait for a LONG time for our food. This last visit, despite the fact that all three of us ordered at the same time, one-by-one in line, the last order took wayyyyyy longer to show up than the rest-20+ min! The bartender said it was "because you didn't all order on the same ticket". I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt, until we saw people who ordered AFTER us get their food! So, own it dude. Your kitchen is messed up. If they can't keep track of which orders come from where in what order, then have a separate kitchen support the takeout window at the cafe! 2. The FLIES. OMG it's gross. They're all over inside: on the windows, the tables...they have little fly gadgets on the tables that don't work. There must be a way to keep this from happening. It makes me wonder; if it's bad in restaurant, what's it like in the kitchen?? The food here has always been good. Fish n' chips and clam basket both are solid. I like the fish market next door: Excellent, friendly service and the fish has always been fresh, with good prices. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, fish was fresh and portions were fair. *Chowder - was very good, the texture was perfect the salt was about perfect. *The Halibut fish - was fresh and NOT greasy, 2 nice large pieces. *Chips - were almost like steak fries to me, which was a hit on our table of friends. *Fish tacos - this could have been better and it wouldn't have taken much. If they offered a green salsa and added jalapeños to their pico de gallo it would have given the whole taco a lift, also the white sauce needed some garlic and paprika. I didn't hate them, but didn't love them and I wouldn't get them again. Customer service - Pleasant but wait times will kill you. 30 - 35 minute wait and it wasn't overly busy. They also do this weird thing, they put your food in a plastic bag to go, even though you are going to sit outside and eat your food, seems like a waste to me and an unnecessary company expense. It had been awhile since we'd been here! They still have great flavor on the fish. We got cod and halibut. They come with very different coatings. I thought I'd like the cod coating better a first glance, but our cod coat was either a bit undercooked or thick maybe, as it was a tad mushy inside against the filet. The halibut was coated in panko, seasoned just right and fried to a nice dark brown. The fries were shoestring style and crispy. The dishes come with tartar and a small cup of average coleslaw. I balked at the canned pop for $1.50 each. The fish is the true star here as the halibut was wonderfully chewy with the right texture and cooked fresh. I really want to like this place. Cool setup, lots of outdoor space, food trucks. I've only ever seen one of the food trucks open, so never been able to try the others. Not impressed with the food from the bar though. The fries are great, the fried cod is decent enough most of the time. Mahi tacos mediocre. Hard pass on the salad. The shrimp on my salad wasn't even edible. Was soggy and seemed barely cooked. The croutons were also soft. Pre made grocery store salads are half the cost and 10x the flavor than their salad. Just take it off the menu if you're gonna put in this little effort. Worst part though was the flies! They're so bad they had some spinning contraptions around in a few places. I was swatting flies out of my food and face the entire time (inside, on a day with the doors all closed). Very off-putting and annoying. read more
