    Spanish flan w/rum

This place will now be my to go place when I'm in the area. Everything about this business is great ! Super clean restaurant and restrooms. Food is delicious and authentic Mexican home made flavor. I had the combination plate w/chile relleno and enchilada. It was different from other restaurants. The chile relleno wasn't greasy and super tasty made w/perfect batter ,the enchilada had my Tia recipe just right ! Finished my meal with a Spanish flan with rum Perfect size and made in house. They're a potato made in a sauce served as a side dish ,ridiculously good with many flavors . Service was very hospitality.

We've been here a handful of times. What I love here is how fast they serve their food. You aren't waiting ages, everything comes out fast and it's also delicious. The chilaquiles here were so tasty. I also love the coffee here! Ambiance is cozy and friendly. Feels like home.

In my eyes, Teresita's is one of ELA's best Mexican restaurant. With its classic Mexican dishes to festive ambiance, and impeccable service. You won't be disappointed by coming here and will have a great dinning experience. We came today for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my wife's step mother's birthday. We were a party of 6 and got seated pretty quickly. Our waitress immediately greeted us and took our drink order and brought chips and salsa to our table. I had the egg combination that came with potatoes, beans, and bacon. My wife had the chilaquiles that came with beans, potatoes, and eggs. Both dishes were incredible and so delicious. The entire table enjoyed their meal and we all had a great time celebrating the birthday girl. Our waitress was amazing and brought Flan with a candle which just made our step mom's day. This is definitely our go to spot when in the area, we've been coming here for years. We always recommend this spot to family and friends. I've brought co-workers here and they'll drive from the OC to eat here.

BEST ORANGE JUICE HERE I'm definitely going to be a regular. The food was fresh and flavorful, clean establishment, friendly attentive service and unlimited free chips and salsa FTW! More reasons why to dine be - fresh squeezed orange juice was SOOOO GOOD! - chilaquiles w/ carne cooked perfectly chips were still crunchy, red sauce typical (could've used more heat) and the asada was tender - kids quesadilla plate great - enchiladas plate came out hot and yummy - added a beef soup which was really good! Big chunk of tender meat with veggies - they use quality beef here Gracias!

We have ate at Teresitas's 2 times now and we will continue to visit any chance we get. The food is delicious and very authentic. We truly felt like we were at home. The waitresses are very welcoming and attentive. We had the privilege to meet Teresita herself and she shared some of her stories of her childhood and how she learned to cook. They have their own parking lot and plenty of in door space. If you are in the East Los area stop by you won't be disappointed!

    Machaca and Eggs

This is a casual family restaurant that has been here for years. Came for lunch after a meeting with a group of friends, after not being here for many years. Decor and ambience is great, and we had a nice table for 6 of us. Review of food, however is mixed: - Complimentary tortilla chips - 1/5 - they were stale. - Machaca and Eggs - 4/5 - I ordered this dish and really enjoyed it! The machaca and eggs had tomato chunks, green peppers and onions and was flavorful. Came with beans and potatoes in a tomato-ey sauce which were both good. - Menudo - 1/5 - JJ ordered this, as he absolutely loves menudo. But he didn't like it, and definitely would not recommend it. He couldn't eat it, because it smelled and had a bad taste (worse than canned menudo). Our friend also ordered the menudo, and he could not eat it either. So our friend ordered a plate of machaca and eggs, which he enjoyed. JJ also had some of his machaca which he also liked. Service was friendly and efficient. I am bumping up my overall score from 2 to 3, because JJ took home his leftover menudo and tried doctoring it up the next day. He added Las Palmas red Chile enchilada sauce (which he usually adds to canned menudo). It tasted okay, and he was able to eat it. So it wasn't a total waste.

I loved all the greens and pita to wrap the pork and goodies into! We ended with a bday scoop of mango sticky ice cream which was completely different than I've had before and yummy.

The standouts were the green beans, the Brussels sprouts that came with the chicken, the pork shank and the tuna and crunchy quinoa salad. I'm still thinking of that crunchy quinoa. We had no room for dessert. So maybe next time we try the goat curry, get the quinoa salad again and get dessert! The service was great too. Attentive but not overbearing. My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. I forgot what the food costs so I visited the website and for some reason they don't think it's important to put that online, which is pretty darn stupid if you ask me. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience at Sandcouch Cafe and I would visit again in the future thanks to it's convenient location. The food was solid and the staff was friendly, and that's really all I need when ordering a sandwich.
