I've been hearing about this place and saw a post on FB (The Old Parita building). I got home from a business trip and told my wife I wanted to take her out. We drove the thirty minutes in the middle of nowhere to find this place. Man is it a Gem. Really neat looking place. Cool atmosphere and the food was great. Service was good. Timing of the appetizer was a little off. They brought us our bruschetta and literally turned around and brought us our dinner. So that was weird. Anyway. The appetizer wasn't exactly as advertised. Bruschetta usually has goat cheese or something similar. They listed it as goat cheese on the menu but it was cream cheese. Which caught me by surprise. It was tasty though.
The dinner though...wow. We ordered the 6oz filet with two sides. I had the grilled asparagus and Italian roasted potatoes as my side and my wife had the Italian veggies and a salad. Everything was spectacular. Steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender with great flavor. No sauce needed! If you're looking for something off the beaten path that is different and good, then make the drive. You won't be disappointed.
PS- did I mention the prices are outstanding? Filet was on special for $21.00!? What? Ate a top notch dinner for a little over 60 bucks tip and all. We will be back. read more
