I tried to use the Sonic app in Parsons, Kansas today. Although I have used many times, there was a…read morefluke today, and after sitting for 20 minutes and checking in for 3-4 times I finally called them which is what the app suggested after the fourth time of trying to check in. The manager, or whomever I spoke with, was very defensive and said some crazy condescending things. Honestly, I realized at that point that I was not dealing with someone who cares. My only question was why at least one of the car hops never noticed that I was sitting in a pickup stall for 20 minutes. Customer service seems to be non-existent. At least she could have been kind!

Directions to Parsons, KS:…read more 1. Leave Dallas at 7:00am 2. Get on 75N with the intention of ending up in Des Moines, IA. 3. When your GPS tells you to get on I40 East, do not listen. 4. Continue to drive in a direction that resembles "up." 5. End up in Kansas. Take a picture of the "Welcome to Kansas" sign. 6. Actively make the decision that you will not touch interstate until you hit Kansas City. 7. Be hungry for lunch. If you do this, you will most likely end up in Parsons, KS. You will look for an authentic, horror-movie style diner in which you will stand out so much people will stop eating & talking when you walk in. And you will find out that this diner is, inexplicably, closed. BUT you will find a shiny, brand new Sonic drive in filled with some of the nicest Kansasans you will ever meet. Not that I'm a proponent of fast food - but when you options are limited and you KNOW you can get a sweet ass cranberry limeade, (oh, yes.) a chicken sandwich, and some onion rings to hold you over knowing very well it may be just you and the road for the next few hours...I'm in. Honestly though, the food was as tasty as it usually is at Sonic, and the people were very friendly to this out of state fellow. Even though this trip was a little while back, I still remember it fondly. Trust me, if I ever end up back in Parsons, KS - I will pay a very nostalgic visit to the Sonic in remembrance of my first time there.
