Avocado toast with loaded potatoes was delicious!

We were just passing through Pittsburg yesterday and on a whim checked out Toast! So glad we did! The service, food and drinks were amazing. The place was busy on a Saturday but we got our food in a very timely manner. Highly recommend Toast for your brunch needs

Chick-A-Delphia w/charred veggies

A unique stop for sure. We arrived 5 minutes before closing time and they graciously allowed us to order! Couldn't spend a lot of time to decide what to order so I choose the Chick-A-Delphia with a side order of charred veggies. While we waited we were served a small container of chipotle seasoned popcorn! Rather tasty! Sandwiches arrived and we quickly ate while the team cleaned around us. We thanked them and continued on with our day. If I get back I'll be sure to spend a bitore time to take in the environment.

Finally got a chance to try this place out after hearing so many positive reviews the last few years from friends. Cute location, excellent food options, friendly helpful service and great tasting food! My mother ordered the French dip sandwich with fresh fruit with honey and was super happy. I ordered the avocado toast with egg and bacon and a side of loaded potatoes....A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. !! I can't wait to go back and order that again! So flavorful! We are looking forward to our next visit!

Huge A$$ Cinnamon Roll

Such a cute place with wonderful flavor and passion about the ingredients and the community. LOVED THE PICKLED ONIONS. I had the Chili oil friends egg and avocado toast and it was perfect. My husband had the Chicka bow wow or something and he loved it as well. The taters were such a great twist in a classic. The cheese and noods was good but there were so many other standouts so they weren't my fav. We got a HUGE cinnamon roll to go and it was great! I'm so glad we got to eat here and hope to be back soon. The staff was very attentive and service was fast.

Root beer and delicious sweet tea... not too sweet . Just right..and those fun glasses.

The food was delicious. Every bite was the best. Food to linger over and share so you can try more. Staff were friendly and helpful. Love the quirky planters and the vibe. Definitely our kind 9f place

We chose the night before we were going here for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The portions were healthy and priced very reasonably. Service was good and the vibe is chill while you sip coffee or munch on your food.

Seating in extra room

LOVE THIS PLACE! Not only was the food amazing, but the people were even better! The workers were so kind and considerate. Plus as someone who is gluten free their gluten free bread is wonderful. Not to mention this is a great place not only to go eat but also hangout. They have board games and big tables that sit up to 8 people so it's great place to catch up with friends. Definitely recommend this place. One of best places in pittsburg easily. :)

Chicky chicky bow wow and tater sides

I loved the decor in this place, so cute! They bring you free popcorn to the table, it has a chipotle seasoning but it wasn't super flavorful in my opinion. I ordered something like the chicky chicky bow wow with tater sides and it was pretty good. Worth a visit when in Pittsburg.

Homemade soup of the day with toast & smoked salmon avocado toast with blue corn chips. All fantastic!

And oh boy, prices are way more expensive. Most steakhouses Dont even have chicken fried steak on the menu. But at Jims it went from $16 to $27. I got invited to go, not my pick. At $27 it was one of the cheaper options. The burger was $17, and fish sandwich was $19. And they come with nothing. To add fries they are $5 for off the truck frozen fries or $8 for "hand cut " fries. A baked potato is $10. Those prices may not be shocking at all fine dining restaurant, but Jims is just an overpriced dive bar. BTW, the chicken fried steak was huge. Impressive on the plate. I made sure to have the gravy on the side to not make the fry soggy. The fry was soggy and lukewarm warm in temp. Lack of seasoning and no crispness is best description. Side salad was something you would expect at a diner. Worst part of the iceberg lettuce. Highlight was the baked Idaho baked potato. Problem is they brought me cold to fozen butter in foil and very cold sour creme. I spent 10 minutes building the potato they could have spent a little time trying to wow me. Wouldn't matter, you could order the flagship $70 porterhouse and would end up with the same deal. Jims is an overpriced dive bar masking as a high end steakhouse

If you dine there, read the back of the menu and you'll be educated. Secondly, if you drive by you'll likely see the place surrounded with cars and pickup trucks. That's usually a good sign. Our party of five waited about 15 minutes for a table at 5:30 pm. Not bad on a Saturday night. Seating is at mostly larger tables, and the entire place has a bit of a multi-room cafeteria feel. Comfortable, but a bit chopped up and crowded. They're not striving for romantic dinners. We started out with an order of their Onion Rings. Do not skip this step! And make it a large! You'll thank me for that tip. Ordering the chicken is a bit confusing, especially when your server tells you that the two thigh, one drumstick dinner is their white meat option (bless her, she said "This is my first week, I'm still learning the menu."). The chicken is very good - crispy, tender, and juicy. But don't expect large. These pieces must come from a five pound bird. The sides I ordered were their house coleslaw and potato salad. Both old German recipes. I'd recommend skipping these. The slaw was garlic heavy and sour and the potato salad had very little taste. It's not that they're wrong, just unexpected and not that good for my taste. But you may feel differently. Somehow these recipes have survived for decades! Overall, I rated Pichler's above average. It's an experience with good chicken, good service, great onion rings, and a damn interesting name!

We got in right at opening, and by the time that we left at 1230, it was looking pretty busy. We ordered and waited for a good 20 min before our meal came out. The ice they use is very crushed, almost a slush. Chicken is steaming hot and super fresh. Nice crunch. The batter seasoning is rather plain, but salted. Loved their green beans and coleslaw. The slaw was very vinegary and dryer. Not like the mayo doused slaw you may be used to. Service was excellent. We had a wonderful waitress who made sure our orders were accurate and that our drinks were full

Our appetizers came after the food. The mozzarella sticks were so burnt / overcooked that cheese had mostly leaked out. The dynamite shrimp was barely lukewarm. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she said that we couldn't get our money back (not that we had asked) because we had tried it, but she could bring new. As we were 40 minutes into our visit, we declined. My friend asked for a roll, pointing to the menu and stating that his meal came with one. Again acting like we were trying to pull a fast one, the waitress declined telling us first that I brought you one when you sat down and then said "well I think we are out anyway." Salt, butter and a refill all were obtained by me, when after asking for (and not receiving after 5 or 6 more minutes), I went roving the dining room looking for anyone else to help us. My friend asked for lean brisket, and was punished for the request with a heap of fat that had a little meat attached. He did not eat one for full of that chewy mess. $82 later and we are heading somewhere else to get a dessert and just call that dinner. When we paid, we were asked "how was your dinner?" We we said "not good" , her answer was simply "oh no... well... here your bill, sign here." Recommend anywhere else.
