Tried to have dinner with a co-worker tonight. Hard to rate which was worse, the service or food. Both were so terrible that we actually wondered if we were on a local candid camera show. Our appetizers came after the food. The mozzarella sticks were so burnt / overcooked that cheese had mostly leaked out. The dynamite shrimp was barely lukewarm. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she said that we couldn't get our money back (not that we had asked) because we had tried it, but she could bring new. As we were 40 minutes into our visit, we declined. My friend asked for a roll, pointing to the menu and stating that his meal came with one. Again acting like we were trying to pull a fast one, the waitress declined telling us first that I brought you one when you sat down and then said "well I think we are out anyway." Salt, butter and a refill all were obtained by me, when after asking for (and not receiving after 5 or 6 more minutes), I went roving the dining room looking for anyone else to help us. My friend asked for lean brisket, and was punished for the request with a heap of fat that had a little meat attached. He did not eat one for full of that chewy mess. $82 later and we are heading somewhere else to get a dessert and just call that dinner. When we paid, we were asked "how was your dinner?" We we said "not good" , her answer was simply "oh no... well... here your bill, sign here." Recommend anywhere else. read more

First, there is a hays in the air due to the cigarette smoke that comes in from the casino. The whole place stinks. Second, the staff is slow beyond belief. We waited 15 minutes and had no one take our drink order, let alone our food order. We finally got up and left. Third, the menu prices were outrageous. I will not return. read more

Our server messed up our cocktail order and we asked if they were going to simply pour out the wrong drinks - yes, they would; we asked, well, if you don't charge us for your mistake, we will drink them. Guess what, they charged us for them and the manager was rude about it when we told her what was said (even after talking and confirming with the server). The food was very average at best AND, they had nearly ran out of Prime Rib at 7 pm. Needless to say no tip was left for liars and argumentative management. Burger King is a better choice. read more

I visited during very cold weather in January and appreciated that this restaurant was clean, warm, staff were friendly and service was prompt and courteous. Had a drink from the bar which was excellent. Especially appreciated that this restaurant staff knew hiw to help me find gluten free options on the menu. Food was outstanding and hit the spot on a cold winter day. read more

While on an overnight trip ordered a pizza which is normally amazing to take to the room. The hostess was taking to go orders and she was friendly enough (customer service fake friendly) which is fine. The food was done in a fairly decent time however it was very poorly done. This after the last order of chicken fried steak and chicken meals that were uneatable. The toppings were slopped on and not evenly distributed. Half the pizza was burnt. Could definitely do a lot better considering the prices charged. read more

This was certainly a solid "C" experience, both food and service were fine. Neither left me with a "must come back" feeling though. The chicken fried steak seemed to be one that came out of a box (not homemade) as did the dessert. It was what I would have expected from a Chili's or Applebee's. I would go back though...probably just try something else. read more

But not their holiday buffet. It's hardly worth the price. Not well manned, or layed out. The food was good, but no variety, they didn't keep the soup available, so we weren't able to get any at all. There was no trays to use, and no place to set a plate as you served yourself of vegetables and sides. It was completely chaotic. The server at the meat was pretty stingy, and you had to prod him for a slice of ham and a piece of sausage that was offered on the menu. Pretty terrible food. We were staying at the hotel next door while working in the area. I came in for dinner on the night I arrived and had the steak. When the waitress asked me to cut into it to make sure it was ok, I knew they couldn't cook and it was going to go downhill from there. It was burnt on the outside and so rare inside, it was still breathing. When it came back (it was supposed to me medium rare) it was just a lump of coal with some dried blood on the inside. The fries were cold and greasy and the corn was probably from a can, I could only stomach one mouthful. I gave them another go the next night, had the salmon but it was overcooked and chewy, the baked potato was also cold. I was too lazy to go anywhere last night and went in again thinking I'd just get a salad. It's difficult to get that wrong - right? It was quite busy when I went in and there was only one table in the middle of the room and they had some sort of quiz going on, so I asked if I could sit on a quieter table just on the other side of the bar - like three meters away from where they wanted me to sit. But they didn't have a server that could walk that far, so I left. The one extra star is because they are perfectly pleasant people, they just can't cook and they don't understand hospitality. read more

I've been here many times and have ordered the steaks. Flat Iron. Sirloin. I ordered the flat iron last of January sometime and its was tougher than a boot. Literally had to SAW through and then could hardly chew. Terrible. Then last day of January I ordered the Sirloin. Absolutely the worst steak ever. No flavor. Again, tough. Could hardly cut it. You guys know better than to order this shit steak stuff you're getting. Get it right. You've done better but last month you sunk to the bottom. Sorry! I won't be ordering anymore steak. read more

We came to Two Brothers for my son's Birthday and had a wonderful meal! I had the end cut of prime rib (my son and I split the 16oz cut), my other son got the brisket sandwich......and it was PILED HIGH with fantastic brisket. Wife had the chicken fried chicken. It was a large portion and very good. Ended with the Key Lime pie. Our waitress was busy but took very good care of us! 5 star experience. I will be back soon. This was our 2nd visit. read more

This was our 2nd trip and I was really hoping to have a much better experience, but was disappointed again. There is so much possibility for this to be a great restaurant, but the flavors of the food are seriously lacking and so is the service. Our salads looked appetizing but were water logged and flavorless. My California chicken was very dry and minuscule. They placed 2 pieces on an oversized plate, so it made my meal look very small. They could have added my sides to the huge plate, but instead they bring a separate plate for the sides. When you have 4 people eating at a table and each have 2 large plates, there is limited space and this becomes frustrating. The prime rib was inedible. It had very rank after taste which made us feel the meat was bad. Expect to spend approximately 2 hours as the service and food always is incredibly slow. The WORST part of the service is not being able to pay your check at the table. For 2 hours we watched never ending lines standing way too long to pay their ticket when they are ready to leave. This leaves a bad impression to make customers stress out about having to stand in line to pay their bill when it can easily be done by servers at the table. We will not be back unless we are informed things change greatly, to where these many issues are resolved. read more

We have been to this restaurant now numerous times and most of the visits have been very good but like all other such sort business thing's can happen. We will continue to recommend Two Brothers because their menu is very good, food also wonderful and prices sort of reasonable. Service has some issues but nothing is perfect. We in our 70's and 80's always leave with enough to go food for at the least two more meals to go, or if we share one dinner and leave with food enough for the next day when we get home. read more

Two Brothers Mining is part of the Kansas Crossing casino and hotel complex. The restaurant is at the opposite end of the complex from the casino so most of the casino smoke doesn't make its way into Two Brothers. As far as format, Two Brothers is somewhere between Applebee's, a sports bar, and upscale dining. It has a large, open floor plan, making it easier to find a table away from the central bar and TVs if that's what you want. My glazed salmon was excellent and service was very good. It's difficult to beat the convenience of Two Brothers if you're staying at the hotel: Other restaurant options are a few miles away in Pittsburg. read more

They were running a special on fish and chips. I was talking the one of staff and asked if they were good. Same time the chef walked by and said they were excellent. I asked if the fish was frozen or hand dipped. He assured me they were hand dipped. On first bite i wondered why they would hand dip them to taste like frozen out of the box fish. Went to dinner 2/18/22.. price has increased substantially. Waited an hour for food, only three people in our party and it was not busy. The prime rib which price was increased by 8$, was cut and sat under the broilers for 45 minutes. Food was luke warm for everyone, the baked potatoes were so cold the butter didn't even melt. My sons baked potato had sour cream and he asked for butter only. . Sent prime rib back and gave me a new one five minutes later. The server forgot the au jus and horseradish, waited another fifteen minutes for horseradish and never got the au jus. Our waiter Tony a young kid could give to shits about his lack of service or terrible food. We have been to this restaurant a lot and has never been this terrible. If your going to increase the price, your food and service need to be spot on! read more

I usually stay at the Hampton Inn when I come in town for business and have found my way to Two Brothers 3-5 times. All in all, the food is good, but not "knock your socks off". It is American cuisine, with salads, burgers and steaks. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the bar is inviting and a great place to hang (esp if you are solo). The bartenders are always friendly and accommodating. I love to come here for a glass of wine or watch a game- comfortable to post up here for awhile. Tip- offer a couple lighter or healthier options on your menu. read more

First time to eat there was meeting parents for lunch they were busy with Sundat lunch the service was ok just a bit slow kitchen was slow getting our food so im thinking thats why services was slow they kept your dri ks full and checked on us. Service was horrible. The restaurant was not busy only 3 tables they had multiple waitresses. We had to ask and get her attention for drinks and to even order our food. Food was just ok but nothing spectacular. Restaurant was clean and lots of televisions to keep your mind of of the horrible service. I would not recommend it at all. Gave this place a try since we lost all our money in the casino!! Lol Jessica was our server and she was great! She made sure we had an awesome experience. Food was all above average..... salad was sooo good! Broccoli was cooked to perfection, potato soup very flavorful! Prime rib over done but tasty. If you prefer a rare temp then maybe ask for very rare. Jessica offered to bring out a new prime rib but we hated to throw away such a big cut of meat. Would recommend this place. read more

Ate there on a Thursday early evening. Service was over the top. Prime rib the best my husband had ever had. Friends had KC strip and loved it side of baked potato was very yummy. Salads very good. I had chicken strips and wedge salad (was half a head of lettuce) great! Appetizers recommended by waitress Kim were mac and cheese dish and spicy shrimp. Wonderful!! Try it. Worth the stop. We were a party of 16. Service was very slow especially since there weren't very many people in the restaurant. Sat down at about 7:30 p.m. and did not get our food until almost 9:00 and it was not hot. Waiter very rarely checked on us and it was quite awhile before anyone came to pick up our plates.
