This place is really cool! My husband wanted to come back here because they have Prairie Bomb on tap for like $6! I got the Social G&T ($9), it is STRONG! After I got my salad I really thought I should take a picture & do a review. I got the Butternut squash & spinach salad ($10) and it was humongous! It was really good, so was my husbands Cobb salad. He really liked the Dijon dressing & neither one of us could finish the salads. The seats at the bar are really comfortable & have a back. They have several screens around the bar with various sports playing so this would be a great place to escape the heat & hang out for a while. PS: the bartender spilled water on my husband by accident & comped his beer!! So really good, unexpected service too.

We are new to this area and have tried a handful of restaurants to get a feel for what is out there. This place ticks all of the boxes. Great service, food, and atmosphere. I had a wonderful lemon drop martini and my husband had a red ale. Our meals had so much flavor I didn't know which I liked best. We will definitely be back and we will tell our friends and family! Keep up the great work!

A great find! I was pleasantly surprised when my group decided to visit this restaurant for dinner. For the area, I feel that Brick + Mortar seriously stands out. It provides the trendy, American food everyone seems to be chasing right now. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have an elevated, casual experience with any sized group.

I have made a few attempts to eat here while in town on a Saturday afternoon with no success. Now they area open Saturdays for lunch. We got seated and greeted by our server, Jordan quickly. My Arnold Palmer made with sweet tea wasn't that sweet. I decided on the prime rib sandwich with a upgrade of sweet potatoes fries for a $1. He order the bacon cheeseburger with a side salad upgrade for $2. Our food came out within a reason time as they weren't too busy. My prime rib was waaaay over cooked and flavorless. I'm not sure why they have the * by this menu item if it won't be cooked medium rare. The horseradish & au jous did help but I decided that eating the second half wasn't worth the calories. My sweet potatoes fries were the winner for both our meals. A dusting of cinnamon and with added salt made this hot fries my main course. His medium cheeseburger was over cooked as well and his free fries were soggy and room temp. His side salad was a generous potion for the upgraded price but I thought it had a salmon aftertaste. The decor was cool and our server did a good job but overall a disappointing first and last visit.

We enjoyed Brick and Mortar for dinner! The restaurant is very spacious and cute. The food was wonderful also. If you have children, the kids menu is very reasonable and they give them a lot! I was going to order my son the Mac and cheese off the main menu and our waiter suggested the side Mac and cheese! It was a perfect size for my kiddo.

We had heard good things about this place and thought we would give it a try. Toward the end of the evening on Saturday, the restaurant was steady but not slammed. Took over 45 minutes to get three meals out to us. When the food arrived, we were met with the smallest $28 6 oz filet you've ever seen. We mentioned it to the server who told us that yes it did look small but they weigh them. The pic is posted for your reference. Service wasn't great. We will try several other places in Pittsburg before returning.

Great food and drinks. I could have ordered 5 different items on the menu as they all looked excellent.

The mozzarella sticks were so burnt / overcooked that cheese had mostly leaked out. The dynamite shrimp was barely lukewarm. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she said that we couldn't get our money back (not that we had asked) because we had tried it, but she could bring new. As we were 40 minutes into our visit, we declined. My friend asked for a roll, pointing to the menu and stating that his meal came with one. Again acting like we were trying to pull a fast one, the waitress declined telling us first that I brought you one when you sat down and then said "well I think we are out anyway." Salt, butter and a refill all were obtained by me, when after asking for (and not receiving after 5 or 6 more minutes), I went roving the dining room looking for anyone else to help us. My friend asked for lean brisket, and was punished for the request with a heap of fat that had a little meat attached. He did not eat one for full of that chewy mess. $82 later and we are heading somewhere else to get a dessert and just call that dinner. When we paid, we were asked "how was your dinner?" We we said "not good" , her answer was simply "oh no... well... here your bill, sign here." Recommend anywhere else.

And oh boy, prices are way more expensive. Most steakhouses Dont even have chicken fried steak on the menu. But at Jims it went from $16 to $27. I got invited to go, not my pick. At $27 it was one of the cheaper options. The burger was $17, and fish sandwich was $19. And they come with nothing. To add fries they are $5 for off the truck frozen fries or $8 for "hand cut " fries. A baked potato is $10. Those prices may not be shocking at all fine dining restaurant, but Jims is just an overpriced dive bar. BTW, the chicken fried steak was huge. Impressive on the plate. I made sure to have the gravy on the side to not make the fry soggy. The fry was soggy and lukewarm warm in temp. Lack of seasoning and no crispness is best description. Side salad was something you would expect at a diner. Worst part of the iceberg lettuce. Highlight was the baked Idaho baked potato. Problem is they brought me cold to fozen butter in foil and very cold sour creme. I spent 10 minutes building the potato they could have spent a little time trying to wow me. Wouldn't matter, you could order the flagship $70 porterhouse and would end up with the same deal. Jims is an overpriced dive bar masking as a high end steakhouse
